The location was good.

From entering the entrance hall, I wondered what I had booked. Wire's.from the door and the straway was dirty, vin bags everywhere, got further up the stairs and as they got steeper the edging was hanging off. Finally, into our apartment, and we'll what can u say, dirty walls dirty appliances dirty floors, you name it, we had it. The smell was absolutely disgusting, too! I believe it was on the sofa. I went to put our food I'm tje fridge freezer I decided enough was enough when I saw this and decided to call booking. Com Unfortunately, due to it being the coronation weekend, there was no other accommodation free in Bradford, so I decided to take a walk to Wilko, which is close by to get some cleaning products. I really didn't expect to have to clean on my 2 nights away. Oh yes , I bought 2 glasses so we could have a drink as the apartment had 1, and that was dirty. We cleaned and disinfected everywhere, then decided to have a nice cold drink and watch TV. God knows how you worked the tv, but netflix and Prime came up on a passage stamp sized TV but was in Portuguese. Free view didn't work. Not willing to sign into my own prime, we asked for assistance with tje TV where a neighbour appeared and said,'Oh yes, just sign in with email' and promptly disappeared. Oh yeah, you may want to take pillows also if you decide to stay here. I think theirs may be from pound land. I have come away from the property with a rash, god only knows what that is off. I requested either a refund or some kind of compensation. Up to now, I have been refunded £20 which I find and insult as paid this for cleaning products. I will be taking this further as this property is not fit to be advertised on booking. Com. As a Genius member, I have stayed in many places and have never experienced one since as this before.

The size of the apartment was good - room to move.

(1) The three flights of stairs to get to our apartment made it tough going and was very difficult dragging our luggage all the way to the top floor. The entry hall and the stairs were very dirty and generally run down. The stairs were dangerous - too narrow, not even wide enough to take an average woman’s shoe size. Also, the treads are not adequately fixed, with some missing altogether. (2) No mirror in the bathroom, just a strip mirror on the wardrobe door in the bedroom. And no vanity bench top to place toiletries. (3) Difficulty in contacting property managers - advertised phone number was not operational. (4) TV not working - no signal.

Couldn't operate living room heating

The place clearly hadn’t been cleaned from ‘whoever’ stayed there before. There were corners from condom wrappers and the plastic from what I imagine was a bottle of lube in the bedside drawers. Not to mention a tissue stuffed beside the wardrobe that I don’t chose to inspect any further. When I rang the owner to ask if this was the correct room as I didn’t think it had been cleaned. He assured me it was but he would ‘have to have a speak with the cleaners’ didn’t even offer to get it cleaned up for us. I would have been more annoyed, but the generous ‘person’ who stayed there before had left £130 in cash in the drawer! I’ll let people draw their own conclusions as to what the apartment was being used for before our stay. I definitely would not recommend staying here the location is good but probably a good chance your room won’t be cleaned before you arrive. Cleaning a room is bare minimum and I’m no snob.

Covinent close city centre trainstaion

They responded to our issues quickly and sent someone to fix a broken bed. The place was clean, safe, comfortable and good value for money.

You need to fully furnish the place - cutlery organisers, lamps, bath mats, things like that. There was a random assortment of cutlery loose in a cupboard, one pot and one pan. We had to buy our own bowls, which we left for the next people. There was a random assortment of towels, no mirror in the bathroom, no cover for two of the pillows... try living there for a week and you'll see the issues. It's very bare - just needs a little trip to IKEA!! You also need a double mattress, not just two singles pushed together. Finally, the fire alarm in the building was going off the entire time, which we raised but was not sorted.
