The hotel was clean and the staff was really welcoming. We don't know German but she did her best to communicate with us in English and made us feel comfortable. The breakfast was decent.

The hotel missed basic amenities like some beverages, tea, coffee, water heater etc. The location is not very well connected to the centre. There is just one bus every hour to the Bad Schandau Railway Station.

Good breakfast, rooms are cleaned daily, the personnel is very pleasant and helpful.

We enjoyed a lot our stay here. The place is in the middle of a small town 10 minutes away from Bad Schandau. There is a bus stop 2 minutes away which is so convenient to move around the region. And many hikes start in this region so it was really perfect. Breakfast was really good and the people serving it were always helpful. The room itself was everything that we expected. It had a little kitchen corner where we managed to make simple dinners a couple of times. Our room and bathroom were cleaned every single day which was so relieving to see in these times of Covid 19. The check in and check out were completely contact less and easy. The whole experience was great! We will go back for sure.

Nothing to dislike but just be prepared to be in the country side :) It is amazing to have so much nature and calm around but plan ahead your lunches and dinners. There is a nice restaurant in town which saved us many times!

Room was clean. Staff was friendly, uncomplicated, and helpful. My request for a room with fridge could be considered, which was great. A really nice bonus was that my room had a small winter garden attached to it. It was possible to get lunch packs for the day, which was a handy option when hiking. Quiet location. Breakfast was OK with options of buns, spreads (like jam/honey/nutella), cold cuts, cheese, eggs, some fruits, yoghurt, oatmeal / muesli, juices, milk, and coffee/tea. WIFI was OK (not super fast but good enough to watch Youtube videos). The restaurant of the guesthouse is the only one in town but in Altendorf there's another good one which is just a nice 2km walk away and has a very nice beer garden with a fantastic view. Nice panorama trail with beautiful sunsets. Overall great value for the money!

The village is really small with next to no infrastructure. This means that you'll have to drive for pretty much everything (e.g. grocery shopping). If you plan to arrive by bike be aware that the village is on quite a bit of a hill. It's quite steep but doable if you're in good shape (took me ~20min uphill). So if you don't arrive by car make sure to check your options to get around. One of the power outlets almost fell out of the wall.
