Needs updating, advertise restaurant but not open

Room was very old broken radiator broken toilet roll holder curtain ripped tap hard to get on or off desperately needs updating

Breakfast was not available location was easy to get into town .
Parked along the seafront very handy the hotel does parking permits.
Cannot think we were happy with our stay

I liked that the beds and pillows are comfortable, The location is right at the pier with a view of the ocean from bay windows. The shower is excellent. The style of the hotel and room are vintage in good way. Close to beach and restaurants. 15 minute walk from train station. Good TV channels, also kettle with tea and coffee.
As represented, the Wi-Fi was only in the lobby..

Very close to town and beach. Nice large comfortable room. Good room service we had a knock on the door after the first night to see if we needed more toilet rolls or tea and coffee e.t.c. check in was easy and getting the parking permits.
Nothing to dislike for the money we paid.

Me, my wife and my 9 year old kid reached the hotel around 6pm. They gave us room 203 and took £1 for deposit for the key. We went to the room and the bed was upside down, the room was in a terrible condition. We went to reception and after 15 mins waiting they asked us to walk to another hotel which they arranged. We walked to Shore view and there Mr. Tiago in reception has no idea rather we seem to be a trouble for him as we came uninformed from Afton hotel. He make us wait for 40 mins with my kid in the reception and then finally got the room. We were hiking from 11am in Seven Sisters and after a tiring day have to go with all these hassle which were beyond my limit.
The best part was, they even did not return the deposit for the key in Afton hotel. I am sharing these details just to ensure no one with a family should go through this experience. It ruined the entire evening. I paid for the hotel in advance through Booking.com and this is what we get. Me and my company are a loyal booking customer, I will eagerly wait for the response.

Friendly staff who were very helpful and provided and delivered a hairdryer and fan to the room. Really helpful with holding luggage before and after checking out

Staff were fantastic nothing was to much . Facilities were great other guests were friendly and we all enjoyed the nightly entertainment. Room was a little on the small but comfortable. Many thanks to you all hopefully see you all soon . Seamus n Debs

Excellent location opposite the pier and near all seaside amenities . Stayed here on our last night walking The South Downs Way so a great location for our destination evening. The room was spacious, warm and had a very comfortable bed.

I checked out a day earlier AFTER PAYING FOR 3 NIGHTS because it was terrible. 2 nights were enough, I WILL NEVER BE RETURNING THERE!!!
The room smelled like damp dog, the staff were not helpful, there was no kitchen open for the breakfast advertised online, I was waiting for over an hour outside at 1-2am after explaining I'd be there late due to flight delays (I told them around 8pm that I'd be there after midnight so please have someone working, I'll pay the late fees.). The "sea view" is of a scaffold next door. Location was awful and I didn't feel safe walking around the streets there at night, alone. Internet didn't work in room.
Building looked old, dirty and need of renovation.

The room had a sea view.
A bit old fashioned and needs a bit of renovation work on it. The bathroom was quite small. Not suitable for big people. As the price of overstay was reasonable could not complain.
