Paths slippery in rain as no shelter and rooms got cold during downpours. Lighting in rooms a bit too dim. It would have been an entirely different experience in the sunshine - we just got unlucky.

I was in a bamboo hut where the walls did not go up to the roof. I had a bat fly in. I was bitten twice by leeches in my room. The bathroom was basic. Two other travellers had Bali Belly and the sound their loud vomiting was not blocked out by the bamboo walls

Everything was great ! can only recommend it if you are looking for peace and a nice place to stay :) close to little and cosy Warung and perfect to discover the countryside

comfortable beds, super nice and very clean pool, never saw a leaf in there. staff was nice. breakfast was brought to your cottages’ terrace. the location was great and spacey.

cleaning the room means only making the bed, no cleaning was done. no AC while it can still stay quite hot at night, especially when it’s cloudy. if you’re not into wildlife in your room, then this is not your place.

Friendly helpful staff running a lovely little garden "resort" / homestay. Perfect for some book reading, resting or wandering around the district. We used it as a pick-up point and the best recovery spot for climbing Gunung Agung via Pura Pasar temple. The property host booked our climbing guide Botak Pengungsi who was fantastic - great fun guy who looked after us very carefully for a challenging but absolutely wonderful climb. We loved his home grown coffee at 4am half way up, home grown passion fruits and home cooked banana fritters at the top.

A minor thing - the mosquito nets on the beds were a bit hard to make secure. Google says the risk of malaria in Bali is low but I was pleased that there were nets.

The garden is lush and lovely, the bungalows are simple but tasteful, and there is no need for A/C since Sidemen is naturally cool. The staff was extremely friendly and always ready to help. The pool is set amidst the flowers and trees. Overall, an excellent stay! Thank you.

Nice bungalow in the midle of the garden. They serve great breakfast which you can choose from the menu. They offer motobike rental for very good price. Nice pool with sunbeds. The whole family is nice and helpfull.

Eventhough there was a fan, sometimes It was too warm in the room. Maybe the bed could be bigger. It should be used some antibugs spray regularly in the room.

The place, the people, the dog, we liked everything. We really want to come back to Sidemen and especially to Krishna HS.

the food didn't taste like much

From the minute we arrived we felt taken care of, a fresh passionfruit juice awaited us and the sounds of the jungle sang sweetly. My daughter and I had all that we could want and need, a lovely pool, delicious and affordable food brought to our room, trips and transport organised and staff who are simply wonderful generous warm people on hand to help with a smile. I was in heaven.

They have a driver who you can hire for as long as you want, we paid 100k an hour. It was within walking distance of good warungs.

Breakfast was a bit disappointing.

Lovely large room. Quiet area. Perfect for outdoors activities and chilling out. Thr breakfast was always served at requested time at out private terrace. Nice clean pool to spend thr hotest ours of the day. I had 2 massages that were amazing. They also arranged our pick up from previous hotel.

There is nothing not to like. Its pretty basics but it has everything you need and more.

The rooms are large and spacious with mosquito nets and a large semi open shower area for each individual accommodation. There is a terrace with table chairs where food can be eaten or just for relaxing. The food is all homemade and the fruit come from the surrounding garden. There is also a restaurant area you can eat and use. The pool was lovely and refreshing and we swam nearly eatery day. It looks exactly the photographs. Massages, tours etc can be easily organised should you want. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. A great place to stay after visiting and touring around lots as you can walk and just just generally chill. There are other local shops, bar and restaurants all within easy walking distance.

Some people may find the noise of the “countryside” too loud but this wasn’t an issue for us as we are used to cockerels etc.

Everything was perfect beautiful traditional bungalow super clean and comfortable. Lovely terrace overlooking the jungle with many fruits and birds,frogs,geckos and the wonderful sounds of nature. Separate small kitchen and huge fridge. The passionfruit juice was amazing and food good too! Wayan and his family were so accommodating a beautiful family and we loved playing with their new puppy Kopi. Sidemen is a authentic desa in bali and we could immerse ourselves in the beautiful bali culture.

The hospitality, being in nature in a very cute, clean and beautiful accommodation. Staff is super friendly, I felt welcome right from the start.

I highly recommend staying at Krishna Homestay - it is a home away from home. The lovely family owners are very warm-hearted, hospitable, helpful, funny, and kind. They taught me a lot about the history, traditions, and culture of Sidemen. They presented me with a welcome drink of passionfruit juice made with fresh passionfruit grown in their garden on arrival and took my luggage to my room while I went for a wander. The oldest son took me on a motorcycle tour around Sidemen and talked in depth about the temples, the farms, the views, the waterfalls, and the interesting bridges. It was fascinating. The room is very clean and is of traditional Balinese style with a lovely outdoor bathroom. The gardens are filled with fruits and vegetables and the swimming pool is very clean and refreshing. I loved every minute of my stay here! The family all work together to look after their guests and there is a cute little puppy, too!

Jungly setting though near village and many restaurants and shops. lovely staff. good WiFi and hot water. Good breakfast, and meals on veranda if desired. Very good value.

I prefer curtains not to be see through when a light is on. Room well designed to be cool, but that does allow some wildlife in, which might bother some people, though mosquito net keeps them away. More power points would be. good, especially by bed.

I looove this place! Such an amazing value for this price! Not only did I have a gorgeous jungle view on the beautiful lush garden from my room, it was truly a luxury to be able to order dinner straight to my terrace. The swimming pool was beautiful to relax. I liked that I could choose just chilling in my room, on my terrace, at the swimming pool, at the restaurant or have a silent moment in nature in the beautiful garden. Almost didn't feel like leaving haha, though the place is super closeby to all the nice areas. The food was delicious! And they even had brown bread, which was very unexpected :) ALSO the staff was super kind, helpful and nice. The host also provided medical service which was great bc I had a wound to be taken care of. Can highly recommend and I Definitely wanna come back whenever I visit Sidemen again. 🤗

We love everything here, from the welcome drinks till the way they serve our check out. Friendly staf, Natural Lanacape, nice swimming pool and the breakfast. High recommended. Absolutely we will come back again.
