The cabin brought back great memories of my mom & stepdad, who totally enjoyed rustic items and a good ole wood stove.

The cabin is absolutely perfect...it sets in a beautiful area right off the highway. It was perfectly setup and so close to the areas we plaaned to explore. We would definitely come back. The views were beautiful just sitting and enjoying time there.

The cabin is beautiful. The photos don't do justice. It's tucked off the road a very short drive to downtown Ouray. The views are amazing, and the cabin is even a little more spacious than we imagined. I highly recommend staying here, and the price is very reasonable.

This is a great place to just enjoy Mother Nature in a comfortable setting. Everything you need for a great get-away from crowds and heat!

We loved this cabin! It was clean and cozy! We would certainly stay there again. It was convenient to both Ouray and Ridgeway. It was in a very quiet area and the view was beautiful! It was so nice to have a washer/dryer.

We came to Ouray to rent ATV's and ride in the beautiful mountains. The cabin is in a great location with beautiful views of the mountains. It was very clean and comfortable. It had all that we needed. The window A/C unit was much appreciated due to the warm days. We loved the deck with the BBQ grill and spent our evenings out there looking at the scenery and cooking dinner.

The cabin was comfortable and clean. We loved sitting on the porch watching the hummingbirds. We had a very relaxing time and felt rested when we left. It was a refreshing vacation!

We just spent 6 glorious nights in this perfect little mountain retreat. It was the perfect size for 2 of us. We really enjoyed the Christmas lights even in July. We had dinner on the deck every night and breakfast in the little nook off the kitchen. We watched night fall in the comfortable deck chairs. Don’t miss the little deck at the back of the cabin directly under the breakfast nook. It’s the perfect spot for morning coffee and evening sunsets. I recommend bringing fans. We used ours day and night. We hated to have to leave.

This cabin did not disappoint! From the views, to the yard and porch and everything inside. The house was so cozy and welcoming and had everything we needed. Close to town and easy to get to. Would definitely stay again.

We truly enjoyed this "brown cabin". The location to Ouray is 10 minutes tops and 15 minutes to Ridgeway. It is so cozy and clean. We really enjoyed the outside deck and the hummingbirds. The view of the mountains was beautiful. The bed was very comfortable as well. The owners did a great job decorating and setting up the streaming system for whatever your choice. In the morning you can hear the river flowing along. Noone can go wrong with this rental. Thanks again for allowing us to share it.

The property was lovely, and driving to nearby hikes, towns, activities, spa/pools was easy.

Photos on online listing do not do this property justice on the inside. Perhaps update. Or not. To keep away more interested folks. 😏 Views are wonderful!! Lawn area so well maintained. Second time staying here. Would return. So comfortable. Perfect location for us. Close, but not in town.

Restful Beautiful views

We thought the cabin was better in person than the pictures are able to represent. We loved the deck, the views, and the overall hominess. We would definitely stay there again.

Everything was as expected and anticipated. Beautiful setting. Cabin is up high enough from the highway that the road noise isn’t too bad. Beautiful view of morning sun shining on opposite side. Great view of a snow covered mountain top while also seeing some Aspen. The location is is between Ouray and Ridgway, so it’s easy to get to either town. Cabin provides great opportunity for daytrips to Telluride, Grand Junction & the Grand Mesa Scenic Byway and Black Canyon of the Gunnison. If you want a quiet place to get away to for several days or even longer, this is a wonderful cabin and location. The lodging has everything that you need. Gas stove, refrigerator, Keurig and drip coffee maker. There’s no dishwasher or disposal, but that’s a minor inconvenience. There are sitting areas on two sides of the cabin, so be sure to look on the left side of the cabin. When we return to the Ouray area this will be a place we will consider.

We loved this property! It was perfect for a couple. Nice, clean and had everything you needed. I especially loved the little breakfast nook that looked out over the ridge. We would definitely book this place again. It was a 3 night stay but wished it could have been longer.

Such a comfortable cozy cabin perched on a mountainside with a great view. Full kitchen with normal size refrigerator and oven/ stove. All dishes and cookware provided. Also towels and linens for bed and bath along with blankets were clean and well stocked. There were only 2 of us. We did not use the sofa bed but the cabin could accommodate 4 adults but the living would be close. We look forward to returning!

This is a very well maintained and fitted home away from home! All excellent appliances in kitchen and utility room, including w/d! Great porch with mountain views, eating area and great grill to use! Nothing missing here!

Brown Cabin was equipped as described, clean and offered wonderful mountain views from inside and on deck. Hummingbirds visited feeders without much concern for humans. Close to quaint town Ouray. Historical museum, hot springs pool and local hiking trails are featured attractions.

Everything was as advertised. Clean, comfortable. Beautiful area. Would definitely stay again.

This was a great cabin close to town but far enough away to feel secluded. Perfect for a couple. We would definitely stay here again.

Excellent stay

Wonderful little cabin in the perfect location for hiking, small town Colorado sightseeing, four-wheel-drive trails. Well stocked. We loved that there was firewood for the stove. It really took the chill off of the cold nights and mornings.

As advertised, Carl's Brown Cabin was perfect....no need to contact, everything was there and first class.Wildlife was unbelievable....

The cabin was quaint and clean. Our only issue was with the WiFi password but it was resolved quickly. The deck was a relaxing place to view the night sky, great for star gazing. Very quiet neighborhood. A great place to get away yet still be close to town to go out to a local restaurant. Great base camp to visit Ouray, Telluride, Montrose, Rideway State Park and the Black Canyon of the Gunnison.

Great location and beautiful surroundings. Very close to ouray and million dollar highway. Also we enjoyed ridgway state park swimming! Cabin was warm during day but cooled off slept comfortably at night as we visited in July. Awesome experience. Awesome cabin

We loved staying at the Brown Cabin. It was the perfect location and very private and peaceful. We enjoyed coming back after a busy day. The views from the deck are lovely. The cabin was clean and had everything we needed. We will return and next time we will stay longer.
