Great home for a small family. Included golf cart was a great bonus.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The cabin was clean but small and sits on a waterway. We appreciated the well-stocked kitchen, beach equipment, and washer/dryer. The floor plan is a bit odd in that you have to walk through a bathroom/laundry room to get to one of the bedrooms. This created a bit of an issue for us but it wasn’t a huge deal. As others have noted, having a golf cart included was really great! The campground (resort) was outstanding with beautiful beaches, well maintained landscaping, playgrounds, and even a waterpark! We were surprised to be asked to pay $12 per night per car for parking and also $3 per night per car as an “express” fee as we made our parking reservation close to our check-in date. This was not disclosed to us prior to booking and making payment for the rental- it was part of the rules we were given after the fact. When we raised this concern with Jim, the owner, he had no empathy and just asked if we wanted to cancel our booking. One other thing to note is that shade structures aren’t allowed on the beach - only umbrellas.

This is the second year in a row of renting this house for our vacation. Pictures do not give the property justice.b you can't put into pictures the peace and calmness of sitting on the deck, watching the ducks/geese that swim by saying hello. The location is just perfect for the resort. We always joke about trying to purchase as this is our vacation home away from home. Jim the owner is very responsive to texts, emails and any needs. I highly recommend this property if you are looking for a good time visiting Ocean Lakes.

Jim’s place was very nice! It was exactly as advertised! He was great with making sure issues were handled as quick as possible! There was plenty dishes to cook with and eat off of. I would definitely recommend staying with Jim!

This was a great house for our family of 4. It was clean and there was plenty of room to relax. The use of the golf cart was an added bonus. Wish we could have stayed longer. Can't wait to visit again!

I normally don't leave reviews but this one deserves it. My husband and I stayed for the week. Jim answered all my questions months before our stay ( I like to plan early) up to us being on vacation if we needed anything he was there to help. The house was extremely clean the kitchen had everthing we needed for dinners at night. I definitely recommend his property and we will be staying with him again. Ocean Lakes has everything you would need. The golf cart is a huge bonus as well. Thanks for a great week. We can't wait to come back!

Mr Jim, wonderful place!!! The bed needs a upgrade, little on firm side, but other than that it was great stay. We loved the golf cart and the relaxing deck with the water just below, thanks again. Will book again in the future.

My family and I enjoyed our stay here! It was perfect for us, we brought our Papa whos over 70 and my baby who's 7 months, and it was great for both! And most of all clean! We will definitely stay again. The neighbors are so nice!

House was clean and neat when we arrived. The kitchen is well stocked with lots of cooking items which was great. The golf cart was perfect or else getting around would have been a challenge. Our first time visiting Ocean Lakes and there are lots of fun things to do on site and it’s an easy drive to all things Myrtle Beach. Had a great time and appreciated Jim’s assistance and communication with my lack of golf cart experience.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay @ your vacation home. Check-in was seamless & easy. The house was so clean, and comfortable. Only one suggestion: frying pans need replacing. We had a great time & marvelous weather!!! We appreciate you allowing us the use of the golf cart too, a real plus!!!

Rental process was very easy. Everything done online. Parking permits purchased before we got there. We didn't have to wait in any lines to check in. we already had our parking pass and we went straight in the campground. This is the 2nd time we have rented from the same owner. The house is always very clean and very well stocked.

We had such a nice time at this house. We were very happy to find that the bathrooms were clean when we arrived since a dirty bathroom is one of the things that bothers me most about vacation rentals. The golf cart was in great working condition. There were palmetto bugs on the deck at night that kept us from enjoying that space in the evenings as we would have liked to, but I don’t think there is much that can be done about that given that the house is near water and trees. The master bedroom has a ceiling fan which is a must for us, and the secondary bedroom has a nice oscillating tabletop fan that provided plenty of air circulation for our boys. We absolutely loved the two reclining chairs in the living room and spent a good bit of time reading/relaxing in those when we were in the house. Overall, we were very pleased with the house and would definitely consider staying here again in the future.

Very nice property. Owner easy to deal with and great communication. AC worked very well and clean house. There is parking for only one car (in the yard), but not an issue for us. Minor issue was that the ice make doesnt work. Would definitely stay again.

The house was just as described. The shelves in freezer kept falling so nothing could be put on them. Everything else worked great. Could use deep cleaning and a lot of dusting. Golf cart was great. The deck is very nice. We had a wonderful time. We would stay here again.

My husband, and two sons (9 and 15) and our dogs just finished a stay and we had the best time! The cottage is adorable, it reminded me of my grandparents I used to go to growing up- it’s just welcoming! Ocean Lakes Resort is a really beautiful and very nice place, with lots of things to see and do...and when I say “see” I mean everything there is NEAT to see, especially some of the houses. We were so impressed with our house and Ocean Lakes my husband and I started talking about possibly getting a place that’s similar there, we didn’t see a house we didn’t like, and it’s in a great location- super close to Myrtle Beach hub, but far enough away that it’s not crowded...there were quite a few people there while we were, and though it was slightly before the season and cooler...there were people all over, but it wasn’t crowded anywhere. The Carbon’s (our hosts) were so wonderful to work with- Jim’s a very nice owner, and again- the cottage was wonderful! We got to use the golf cart, which made driving around Ocean Lakes so much fun! We made friends with the geese behind the house, and there were about 15-20 turtles that hung around behind the house as well- which the kids got a kick out of. We will definitely be back- Thank you guys for letting us rent from you!

Property is in a great location for quiet vacation at Ocean Lakes. It is clean and well appointed for anything you would need during your stay. The huge back deck over looking a small river was nice to sit out in. We really enjoyed our stay, and I recommend this property to anyone looking in Ocean Lakes.

Located in a great place with lots of things to keep you busy during the day! We spent most of our time on the golf cart provided! Plenty of space for a family to have quality time inside as well as outside, possibly on the deck watching the ducks!
