Cozy cottage with a great view of the lake. Adequate shade for those hot sunny days. We enjoyed our stay.

We had a great time on the lake with our family. The house has a great location with a beach and a dock for our boat. We've been coming here for over 20 years and always look forward to this getaway.

The experience was fantastic! The owners were great to work with. The cottage was spacious and had everything we needed. The cottage had a sandy beach at the lake. The lake was nice and very active with boats which made it fun to watch. Will go back again! Great find!!

Great stay, great location

It was a very relaxing stay. All amenities were well described and accurate.

This is a great property in a cute lake town. The water access is sandy with minimal seaweed and rocks. The lily pad was a lot of fun and we brought our own floaties to chill on the water. They provide lot of sports and out door game equipment that can be used in the massive open lot across the street from the house. The kitchen was well stocked also, just be sure to bring your own sheet pans if you need them. We are looking forward to staying here again!

Such a beautiful lake! Clean water and clean beach. Nice Lilly pad for my girls to play on. House could use updates but was fine for us for our short stay.

It was our first time using Vrbo and it was a great experience overall with the property, communication and view.

It was very clean. Easy to find. Nice area to play and relax on the lake. We didn't know until we got there but they no longer had a paddle boat and it's not clear what belongs with the property and what is the neighbors. We were "fussed" at by the neighbors for using things we thought belonged to the house. It was very busy and crowded but overall we had a very nice weekend.

The house was very clean and worked great for us. The view of the lake was amazing and my kids loved playing on the beach area.

This is our 2nd year staying at this property and we'll be back! It's the perfect location and clean. We were pleasantly surprised to see that they are continuing to make little tweaks to the property, even just rearranging the bedrooms this year gave the rooms a better layout. :)

We LOVED this place. Were some spots in the house a little lopsided?, yep. Exactly what we would expect from the many lake houses we have stayed at over the years. It's a lake cottage on one of the most beautiful lakes in the area. If you are looking for "posh", then this is not your house. If you are looking for a beautiful cottage, beach, fun, kids, grilling, sitting in the lake with a pretty darn good view, then this is more up your alley. Parking was ample, house is immaculate, the 2 AC's kept us cool even in the front bedroom where you fall asleep and wake up to LAKE in your view. We loved the lake access and hospitality. If you want to just enjoy true Michigan lakeside comfort, this is the place. Close to everything in the area. BYOB (Bring your own boat). The launch is super close.

Awesome location but cottage was a little lacking. Poor water pressure in the shower and hot water ran out quickly. Kitchen floor is crooked. Cable box kept going out and tv is tiny. Only 2 window AC units so the rooms with it get very cold but not so much for the other areas of the home. The kitchen had ants so had to be careful leaving food on counter. Also a huge list of things that had to be done when checking out. But the location, patio and beach was terrific.

It was a very nice cottage on the lake. We had a very nice 3 days visit. I would definitely go back.

The cottage was very nice and clean when we arrived. There was plenty of amenities available such as pots pans towels sheets etc. Everything worked fine. However if you are expecting an updated home this is not it, it is an old school cottage, the floor was a little slanted here and there and there was definitely a cottage smell when we arrived. Nothing I would hold against the rating just expect to be staying in a cottage not a house. The best part overall was the beach really nice clean sand and clear water. If I could change one thing about the property it would be a better fence around the patio to keep small kids from falling off as there's a steep decline down to the beach.

The star of this rental is the little private beach on a very clean nice lake. The shed had tons of beach toys and floating devices that kept my kids endlessly entertained. We went during the week so it was very quiet and relaxing - though I know the party turns up on the weekend. The patio was really nice as you are shaded by trees. There is a grill and small fire pit. With small kids, it was fairly anxiety inducing though as the stairs are steep and the sides are not fully secure. So, we did not let the kids play freely on the patio area. The house is very cute and cozy and we enjoyed ending the night in the den looking out big windows onto the water and playing games. They had a bunch of board games and cards in the closet. There were several fans and window unit AC so the airflow was nice. There is not AC in the third bedroom, which I imagine would be tough on a super hot night. We went at the end of the season where it was not needed. There were some minor annoyances that almost feel silly to mention but I will anyway. Two things that could have been communicated better was that the paddle boat was no longer there and that the washing machine was broken. A heads up would have been nice, though we weren't hugely bothered. When you have a group swimming endlessly for days, towels are going to build up and we just kept trying to hang them to dry but I think if we were going to stay another day we would have ended up going to a laundry mat. We were not able to find any good kitchen knives which made it a funny challenge when preparing food. The house is slightly tilted, which we learned was from a tree falling on it years ago, and the only issue with that is that the refrigerator was tilted and not super cold. As some of our food started to defrost in the fridge, it started to leak out of the corner and then I couldn't find any cleaning supplies to wipe it up. The owner came by and dropped some spray off for us. For one, you could use something to prop up the side of the fridge so that it is level and maybe it needs some maintenance in general. It kind of made me wonder how well visitors were regularly cleaning when the had no real supplies - which is concerning when the majority of the cleaning is done by the guest before checking out. I saw reviews that the house was exceptionally clean, and I would say it was adequate but not exceptional...Overall, the price was great for this cozy getaway and we would be interested in coming back next year!
