We stayed for 2 nights and happened upon the River's Rest. It was awesome! The setting was private and overlooked the river, the hot tub was wonderful at the end of the day, and we easily walked into town.

It was an amazing house. Our family has a wonderful time watching the tubers. A short walk into town. We loved exploring Helen and was excited to always come back to our cozy home. We made some great memories.

We had a great time staying here. Living and kitchen area were very spacious. Bedrooms also had lots of rooms with walk in closets. Decor was very cute as well. Loved all the lighting options for inside and outside! The decks were our favorite spots. We spent most our time out there and watching the river and the people tubing. Location is close enough to walk to town if you don’t mind a walk (about 10 minutes to Main Street). We walk all over, so we did it one day. Warning of a Steep driveway- which we were not used to but it got easier. It could be difficult in winter. Also be aware of lots of stairs. If you have elderly or people with mobility issues this is not the cabin for you. Carrying heavy suitcases and coolers was less than ideal up two flights. We had one issue with the AC and they had it fixed right away. Only room for improvement would be updates in the bathroom, better cleaning of spiderwebs from the high vaulted ceilings upstairs (they were getting pretty big), and some spraying for bugs on the deck. Looked like carpenter bees and/or wasps were making nests.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The outdoor lighting added a magical ambiance and could not have been any better. The location of the property is very convenient to all the fun and especially tubing. Overall, a wonderful stay that I would highly recommend!

We thoroughly enjoyed everything about this condo. The location on the river and distance to all of the action was perfect. It felt like our home away from home. We enjoyed the decor, furniture and the cleanliness.. everything was wonderful.

Perfect location. AShort8-12 minute walk into town. The sounds of the River made this rental so relaxing. Perfect amount of amenities in the rental, lots of kitchen tools and a few extras left by other guest but you will need to go to the store for other basics. Beds were comfortable and clean. The upstairs bedrooms were big and so were the bathrooms. The only recommendation I have is better window coverings as they don't shutout enough light in my opinion. The driveway is very steep and a little nerve racking to back out of but we figured out to out to handle it pretty quickly. It is short and steep and the river is at the bottom. Very close to Betty's store and the Go-Kart / Arcade. You can walk from the rental to the other end of Helen on a nice 30 minute walk. We would definitely rent again.

We had a wonderful time here. My husband and I had our pup with us as well which was great. We enjoyed being close to fishing as well as close to town. Wonderfully warm cabin that made us feel right at home.

Christmas trip with our two college aged “kids”. Plenty of room for everyone to sit and enjoy sports on the tv or play games at the kitchen table. Sound of the rushing river while sleeping was awesome! Unit was very clean and other than needing at least one additional dish towel and a dish rag or two everything was perfect. Short walk into Helen. Would highly recommended!

Beautiful secluded hide away right on the river.
It’s decorated so cute with all the bears motif. It’s very clean & has plenty of cozy furniture. Loved the automatic gas fireplace!!!

The small touches, like board games, a well appointed kitchen, throw blankets, and more really made it very cozy. There were a few cobwebs in high corners, and a couple of door dents and very minor things that show it is a rental and not lived in full time but it was a great property. We'd stay here again. It is a bit too far to walk into downtown Helen for most people and the drive is very steep on a single lane road.

Took our two grandsons on a little 4 day 3 night vacation to rivers rest. It's on the river,cozy and clean.I cannot think of one thing to critique. This will probably become an annual trip.

I stayed at Rivers Rest with my family for one last get away before school started. It was a great property conveniently located to waterfalls we wanted to visit and to town. We walked to town each day. I was grateful for my backup camera since the drive was directly across from the river. I would stay here again. I do want to note that the bathroom door in the room with the king bed cannot close because the bed is too close. It wasn’t a problem for us. I loved having the half bath on the main floor by the kitchen.

Loved so much about the property and stay. Enjoyed the decks, hot tub, trout fishing while my wife could watch with a cup of coffee from the deck, great cabin feel to the townhouse, etc.
Only things that were “negative” the road is narrow and has two-way traffic and the driveway is very steep. It gave my wife anxiety backing down it since the river is at the bottom.

We had a wonderfull time with this cabin! Super convenient for walking or driving into town. The cabin itself was clean, comfortable, and felt cozy for a great get away!

Wonderful property! Clean, spacious (for a family of three, but even with a few more kids it would be great). The bunk beds were a favorite of our daughter! The hot tub was great as well. Condo was also decorated for Christmas which was a nice touch.
The location to downtown Helen was perfect - not too close to the action to be annoying, but close enough if you wanted a (relatively) healthy walk, otherwise, a two minute drive.
We would definitely stay here again!

Great stay at Rivers Rest. We have stayed at Rivers Rest several times. It is a family tradition for Thanksgiving week. Perfect location, great amenities, perfect atmosphere. Will continue this tradition in the future.

This condo is right beside the river, walkable distance to downtown Helen (this is very helpful while there were traffics to the town); enough bed for family of 5; clean, and beautiful neighborhood! Will come back again!

We walked in and immediately felt warm and cozy! Very nice home and especially loved the spa and balcony areas. We wished we had more time in Helen, and we will definitely come back to River's Rest if we make it back to the area.

Very nice, clean place to stay. The noise of the river was wonderful for sleeping! Great location. The only negative if there really was one was the power lines next to the property but that everywhere in Helen. Definitely will stay again and the walk to town was easy.
