Fantastic property but the real prize is the staff! Best experience I have had in years maybe ever. Every single staff member I engaged with over the phone or in person was incredible. To top this off my room was immaculate and stylish and the bedding was very comfortable. Thank you for a great stay!

We stayed here for 1 night to visit my sisters in the Bay Area. We had our 2 kids with us so staying at a hotel was non negotiable. I found this hotel which was close to fisherman’s wharf, pier 39, Ghirardelli, and across the street from Surisan! All walking distance which we didn’t mind. We rather walk than find parking! Service was amazing, I forgot her name but she used to be a preschool teacher if I remembered. She was amazing! Absolutely loved her. Stay was comfortable and highly recommend. Def will add another night next time! The next morning, we had breakfast at Abaca downstairs. They open from 7a-10a. IT. WAS. AMAZING. Their service was impeccable! Going back to that place as well! Thank you for your service. We will be back soon!

nice hotel in the right part of San Francisco, rooms fine, internet /wifi works, nice restaurant in the ground floor - overnight car parking was usd 70 per night - but SF are insane expensive

The hotel is okay not excellent as the shower have only half food and was not a sliding close shower door so we had use with water splashing out to the restroom floor.
The free wine and free drinks were a plus. Great compliment

This hotel had an amazing view of the ocean and Alcatraz. Our room was in a King bed suite and chose the waterside view. It felt safe and there was always someone outside to help. They had dependable valet which made us feel better about parking.
We didn’t get an opportunity to try out the restaurant but the menu looked good.
We enjoyed our stay and would certainly recommend it to anyone who wants to be in a good location close to many tourist attractions.

Nice one night stay after a short vacation in the SF area. Great location for walking to bars, restaurants and the Fisherman’s Wharf. Hotel did a nice job arranging for our car to be accessible for an early morning departure before the valets were there.

What an amazing hotel. Really well located round the corner from Pier 39, Fisherman’s Wharf and the ferry for Alcatraz. Rooms were lovely and comfy and really helpful staff. Would highly recommend

Nice hotel, conveniently located within walking distance, friendly staff, easy access, but felt worn out and old, the wallpaper outside our room was peeling off- I guess water damage, and the hotel had a musty smell.

Friendly and welcoming check in staff, although it was a little hard to hear with the loud DJ booth right beside them, wasn’t really an issue - just seemed ‘odd’. Room was nice, comfy and clean and quiet. Great location. Really enjoyed our weekend in San Francisco. Restaurant was fabulous.

From the time we drove up, the service was excellent. The lady at the front desk was so friendly. Our room was not quite ready so we left our bags and went off to explore the city. When we came back, we still had to wait a bit so we played some games (hotel supplied) on the lobby. Once oir room was ready, we proceeded upstairs to a large, clean room with a beautiful bay view.

From the moment we entered the property, Ed at the front desk greeted us with a smile. He was attentive, courteous, and friendly. We were celebrating my wife's birthday and our anniversary. They ensured we were taken good care of. Our room was sufficient for the stay. Every staff member we encountered was friendly. The property was clean and located near the fisherman's wharf.

This hotel was a great surprise. It’s quiet and clean, and only a block from Pier 39. Everything you need is in walkable distance. The staff was friendly and helpful. Every afternoon there is a happy hour with free wine and beer. I did not try the restaurant but the menu looked interesting. I definitely would stay there again.

Great stay at the Kimpton Alton! Staff were very helpful with anything we needed and it was convenient having a top restaurant in the lobby. Valet parking was very expensive so we ended up parking in one of the garages down the street for 1/3 of the price.

The property was very clean. It is an older hotel but is very well kept. The key cards allow for extra security on the elevator and other public places. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The restaurant on site is excellent. The hotel is located very close to pier 39 and fisherman’s wharf. Overall it was a very nice place to stay.

The location is really convenient if you’re planning to do a lot of touristy things. The staff is polite and friendly; they left a nice welcome note in the room for the kids with some cookies and snacks.
The surrounding area is rather rundown and there was a lot of open trash bins and quite a few homeless people hanging around.
