Lobby was lovely. Room was updated. But our patio was basically on the sidewalk, faced our car and parking lot and the main drive into the hotel. Based on the hotel pictures , I chose the hotel so we could sit outside and relax and that was not an option on our patio. The place was mostly empty and huge. No reason they couldn’t put guests on the second floor for better views. As others have mentioned, the walls are truly paper thin. The primary pool is full of children and not relaxing if you’re looking for that. The other pool appears open to the public and also full of children (probably even more). The grounds appear to be nice but there wasn’t really a way to enjoy them and relax. This may be a great place for kids but for adults looking for a relaxing getaway outside the city, likely not a good option.

Property was nice-the rooms could use some help-like microwave, exhaust fan in bathroom so fire alarm doesn’t get activated when u take a shower, and better internet

Loved the stay here. Only obstacle is parking. I like to be able to come and go as I please, but couldn’t easily do so here.

The staff is very helpful and kind. I am very allergic to cigarettes smoke and the manager went above and way beyond trying to find me a room that did not smell of smoke or funky from being cleaned from pets. This guys was so very kind. The rooms are comfortable and the hotel is well maintained. It is and older property, but it has been updated with new carpets.

Bathrooms are outdated but overall stay was wonderful! Location is amazing! 5-15min from everything.

Awesome hidden spot in west avl

No vending machines worked on any floor. Sliding doors are hard to close,stairway and our room smelled like a wet dog. It's like they spend a ton of money on the nice lobby and forgot about updating the rooms and halways.

Everything looks good, The restaurant food, both the breakfast buffet, lunch and dinner, is very delicious. The chef at dinner was very attentive. The pool was great including the hot tub. Everything clean and organized. We look forward to our stay.

What a wonderful hotel. The staff is friendly. The bathroom could have been a little cleaner but the hotel was absolutely stunning. Will definitely stay there again.

Nice hotel.

Homey yet chic lodge-style resort with extensive amenities and activities. A lot of partying going on late night, but not too obtrusive. Will be back.

The staff was friendly and the food was great. Proximity to shopping and areas of interest was nice. Dog friendly is always appreciated.

I came here to relax and enjoy the resort amenities.This hotel doesn’t even have microwaves in the room . None of the vending machines work .I decided to use the pool here and was pressured to leave 30 minutes early by two trashy old men smoking cigarettes that work for the hotel . The bar had the worst mixed drinks I’ve ever had in my life . The house keeping staff will wake you up at the crack of dawn by slamming doors and having speaker phone conversations. This hotel was a huge disappointment .

I love how close the property is to the adventure park and downtown. The customer service desk was unhelpful in all three separate times I asked for assistance.

The property was not what we were expecting. It was extremely noisy outside of our room both early in the morning and late at night. The noise came from people taking loudly in the hallway. Our room was near the end of a hallway with a makeshift ramp that the custodial staff used to move their cleaning carts up and down. The sound of the carts on the ramp was very loud and unpleasant. There were also cleaning carts left in the hallway very late in the afternoon around 4:30pm when you would not expect to see them.

Wonderful stay at a great place!

My family of four searched various properties around the Asheville area and ended up choosing Crowne Plaza. There were some reviews that were concerning so before checking in some of us were unsure. I am so excited to share that our experience at Crowne Plaza was AMAZING!! Amenities- We had access to three different pools- 2 outdoor and 1 indoor pool. We also played the 9 hole golf course and pickleball at the indoor tennis facility. Another perk was going zip lining at the Adventure Center located adjacent to the hotel. Tons of cool walking and biking trails everywhere. Cleanliness- this was our biggest concern walking in- based on some of the prior reviews. However, our room and all the common areas were very clean. It is an older resort, but has been well maintained. Dining- Kids eat free for the breakfast buffet which was not a standard continental breakfast. Full buffet- omelette and waffle station and they changed it up everyday! Definitely a perk for the kids before we started our mountain adventures everyday! We had dinner at the restaurant one night and the food was delicious especially the French fries! Our waitress, Rachel was so kind and top notch! Our children loved the fresh fruit infused water in the lobby which also changed everyday. Location- We really loved this location because you feel like you’re in a resort mountain setting, but you’re less than 5 minutes from the heart of downtown Asheville.

Amazing! The front desk staff greeting started the awesome experience and in continued through our stay, at the bar, in the restaurant, and the room was incredible. We love this place!

It was amazing.

Furniture besides bed was from the 1970s drab. Long distances to walk to room. It is advertised as a “nonsmoking” facility. The outdoor dining and patios all had smokers. The pool had smokers. The indoor hallway smelled of marijuana.
