We came here because we were displaced from hurricane Milton . We picked this hotel because it was pet friendly. The room smelled like dogs the bathroom was not that clean the toilet paper holder wasn’t attached and was just moving around. The place was just old and dirty. John at the front desk was pleasant. I’m sure at one time the hotel was nice but now it needs to be redone. We didn’t stay the whole three days so I asked for a refund for the last day and they would not honor it. What sucks we paid 175 a day for a hotel and would have appreciated the money back as we are putting out so much money not being able to go home. Oh the breakfast consisted of sausage, bread, bagels apples . No cream cheese no butter . I really don’t recommend this hotel.

This hotel is conveniently located. The staff was friendly. I enjoyed the complementary breakfast. The room was comfortable and clean. However it was a bit outdated. It could use with a bit of an upgrade for the furniture, carpet, beds, etc..
It is a good value for the price.
The most annoying thing, however, was at the elevator was out during my entire stay with no sign of it being fixed.
Overall, I would rate the hotel average. It is definitely good for a short stay, and it is in a very good location.

Unfortunately, there were issues from the moment we arrived. The elevator was not working; the bathroom floor was covered in water due to a toilet leak; there was stray pubic hair under the toilet seat; the air conditioning unit was leaking right into the carpet; and the sofa was heavily soiled on the arms and back (picture included), so we avoided sitting on it at all. The staff on-site at check-in tried to help, but with no other available rooms, and with maintenance not available, we just had to tough it out.

Room was in “OK” condition hotel was not, needs lots of TLC. Staff was “friendly” but definitely were under staffed. Breakfast was ok.

This was my second stay at this property, and it was even worse. I only chose this place because is literally across the street from my daughters college.
This time around the elevator wasn’t working during the entire weekend (it wasn’t fixed at all) the hallways were a mess, and the rooms were worse! The staff was friendly and did the best they could to accommodate us. But again, the hotel definitely needs lots of work… you would think it will be in better shape!

ROACHES IN MY ROOM! We were there for less than 10 hours. It was a last minute stay since we didn’t want to drive home after the beach. The only good thing was the older gentleman that checked us in. Roaches construction noises and garbage everywhere, NOT CLEAN AT ALL. It was a terrible experience.

It's a little jewel minutes away from anywhere in Sarasota. Comfortable stay, clean rooms, great room service, and a healthy/hefty breakfast. Their delightful home-away-from-home service is the key to their success. It starts with their friendly manager and extends to his courteous staff. We will visit again!

Close to the beach and the room is updated however our AC has water leaked and flooded the room while we’re asleep.

Disappointed with the front staff. Weren’t welcoming. Seemed frustrated with their job. Internet went out. No visual, eye, or verbal contact when passing the front desk even when the person wasn’t helping anyone. Wonder if they’re watching who’s coming in and out. And just not friendly. Though I will say the beds were comfortable!

Nice little La Quinta hotel only five minutes from downtown...super friendly front desk staff, very clean, free parking, breakfast buffet included and updated rooms.
I highly recommend this hotel if you want a nice place to stay with affordable prices near downtown Sarasota!

pictures of property are old. Hotel is filthy and need a total construction makeover. Even the lobby couches look like a tiger ripped them to pieces. All walls scratched. Wallpaper coming off. microwave and frig in rooms covered in rust. Carpet in room stained and disquieting.

The bathroom was had dirty towels on the floor and a bath towel was dirty. The staff wa great. Looks yhe they are remodeling. Does need the update.

They checked us in a room that wasnt cleaned , elvator was not working and we were on the 4th floor the room keys dont work right away, the breakfast is very "meh".

The staff was excellent. The hotel is dated and in the process of upgrading. The elevator was broken for the whole weekend. We stayed on the 4th floor because that had new carpet & vanity. We had the choice to stay on 1st floor but that is the floor they use for pet owners. Overall a basic hotel that needs (& is getting) updates.

The hotel is old and they are in the process of remodeling the rooms, the room we had on the first floor is outdated but quite clean. The bedrooms were comfortable and the gentleman who checked us in was very accommodating. I would stay here again !!
