We only stayed overnight which is what we intended. Upon entering the room it had a faint smoky smell. We briefly considered asking for a room change but decided the length of stay was not worth the hassle. Otherwise, the room was fine. We left before breakfast so I can’t speak on that. The room served its purpose and I am content overall.

The Hotels.com listing is completely inaccurate. This is a rundown hotel infested with cockroaches. Pictures are completely photoshopped.

Roaches in room, dirty, door wouldn’t open and had to be moved to another room. I have photos if you would like to see them. Expedia needs to remove this business from your site.

Breakfast was late and unavailable to me. The first day the room was not made up or cleaned. Second day same. Reported to the desk clerk who argued saying you had to request it. No notice in the room. The front desk and check-out clerk today said they weren't required to clean rooms. The property is seriously run down. Rust is apparent at front of the air conditioner. The deadbolt did not work Called maintenance to fix the TV Bathroom was filthy. Desk clerk said the cleanliness was to the standard of Quality Inn Management. No night clerk to check people in so they put up no vacancy sign at night. The hotel was only partially full. The laundry room for guests had out-of-order signs on each one. Owner's Hummer was parked under the canopy so you couldn't pull in.

The room was dirty. It looks like they tried to renovate but it still looks old and run down. In the morning they don’t have many options for breakfast and run out quickly. The pool was not ready the entire 3 days we stayed here. Hopefully they can get it together.

So I am not one who usually leaves revies especially negative ones but I also rely on reviews to choose the hotels I stay at and if I had seen more like this I probably would have stayed somewhere else.
First I chose this hotel so my neice would be able to swim and tire out. When we arrived we were told the pool was being painted so there was no swimming.
Then when we walked in our room it seemed very dated and not very clean. The bathtub faucet dripped all night and the showerhead looked like it could fall off the wall at any time. Then the major issue was when we woke up at 430 we saw a roach in our room. We left right away after that. Not sure how breakfast was as we did not wait around to find out.

This location is undergoing renovations. It’s clear that they are putting efforts into improvements. My room was nicely furnished and clean.
I was disappointed that the hotel posting did not reference that the pool was undergoing renovations and not available.
The hotel promoted a breakfast, but did not have any eggs (hard boiled or scrambled), which are fairly traditional fare for hotels. The staff indicated they were “out” of eggs at 6:45 a.m. (breakfast opened at 6:30 a.m.)

It is not a bad place to lay your head a take a shower. It is an old facility. It is very bit of a motel. But if you are on a budget and are attending events at Lakepoint it's less than a 10 minute ride. he staff is great.

Enjoyed our stay in Cartersville, hotel room was clean and renovated. We had hot water and AC was in good working condition. Plenty of food options and shopping nearby.

The property was a mess. They said they were Renovating, but it just looked run down to me. To pool was drained and the grass overgrown. I’m almost positive the pictures were done with some A.I. digital app. Bc it looked nothing like the pics. The actual room looked nice. However the Reno consisted of painting over cracks and holes. The shower was creepy. It was “cleaned” but was super dusty and smelled like mildew. Our pillows and clothes were actually damp, so I’m
Assuming there was poor ventilation. The floor was so damp and sticky that we wore our shoes the whole time. The breakfast was extremely limited, but it was free.. so… It was ok for one night, but you get what you pay for. I will say the absolute ONLY positive outcome is the staff. They were very nice and helpful. At least they have good help working there.

Staff was friendly. Our room was clean. However there was a septic smell n the bathroom. Water in shower was hot and had good pressure. The beds and pillows was actually some of the most comfortable I’ve slept in. AC worked well. Breakfast was simply but had what I wanted and plus it was free!!! TV was up to date and a decent size. Not a lavish hotel by no means but for the price it was worth it.

Super comfy and clean rooms; however, the premises were undergoing renovations and reflected poorly on the Choice Hotel brand. For example, the outside grounds, walkways, and walls were dumpy looking exhibiting peeling paint and rust. As a business owner of a vacation rental company, I was appalled that they would rent rooms from an exterior building that looked like Skid-row.

Hotel property is not up to date. The bath tub was rusty and the room had an odor. Property looks like it’s been through water damage , needs to be fixed up and painted

The rooms was very nice clean and beds were soft ! Quite for being next two high way staff was excellent ywo every helping in check in and check out will stay again !

There was cockroaches in two rooms we got! Had to refund and get out of there! We did get our money back with little to no argument, except for the older woman who was a mother of the manager, she was very rude.

The property is in very poor condition, everyone I was visiting in Cartersville was appalled that I was staying there and felt I would be unsafe. It is admirable that they take in the homeless population as the shelters are over crowded, but not suitable for tourists under those circumstances. I encourage anyone booking to look elsewhere.

The bathtub was dirty. The shower curtain was filthy the bathroom floor. Had not been mopped. The room had not been cleaned properly. There was dirt under a chair and around the room. I would not use this facility again.
