Front desk clerk/owner was friendly and inviting but it was pretty much downhill from there. The carpeting in my room was wet (no idea from what), the coffee maker didn't work, the patch job on the tub floor only highlighted just how badly it needed to be replaced, and the cleaning crew somehow skipped my room despite being right next door when I left for the day. On the plus side, bed was comfortable and the hotel is right across the street from lots of food choices and a great market. The hotel is also close to Highway 5 and downtown Encinitas & Leucadia. In total, my expectations were low to begin with - you get what you pay for - but I still think I overpaid. Won't be staying here again.

Although the internet was down at check in the front desk person was able to expedite the process by utilizing paper despite the fact she was dealing with multiple issues.

I was woken up at 11-1230am from kids running and yelling. I’m not sure quiet hours are honored at this hotel.

We enjoyed our stay but the other couch room TV didn’t work and also the bathtub was water flooded but it went down slowly. They need to be fixed. Thank you. We will come back soon.

Small roaches everywhere in the rooms. Noisy neighbors who party all night. Homeless in the area. No breakfast items other than a small carafe of coffee (but they claim to serve breakfast)

Why did you get rid of the dressers?

It was very dirty, and there was bugs in the room roaches

Room smelled like mildew and the windows are only able to open 1” so I couldn’t air it outside much. The tv didn’t work and the say they provide grab and go breakfast but they only had coffee.

The motel has been cleaned up since our last stay. The toilet didn't flush quite right and the room was clean on the surface. Price was ok for during the week. Will stay there again.

Staff was very nice. Hotel is older and needs remodel. Close to the beach and was an easy walk.

This hotel has 1970s-era decor, it's not very clean. On the plus side, the bed was comfortable, and it's a great choice (read: low cost) close to UCSD (~15 minutes away).

Service was very friendly. The price was decent. I, however, did find a cockroach in the bathroom alive.. Did offer discount? But it is still not okay that I found a roach in the room.

Requested specific accommodations that were fulfilled with no questions asked. Great reception staff

Days Inn Encinitas Legoland is a really good price compared to all the other hotels in the area. The rooms are clean and neat, and the staff is friendly and helpful. Mr. Peabody's across the street is an excellent bar/restaurant.

There were way too many roaches, disgusting, furniture is old, place and room looks run down. Never staying here again.

The young gentleman that checked us in was pleasant, professional & friendly. He's the first impression upon arriving & he hit it out of the park

Too old and outdated with AC not cooling. Missing dresser in unit and carpet seems to be 20 years old. Paid almost $500 for 2 nights - expected better.

The pool is in a separate area across from the office. Cool breakfast grab bags in the morning. No views

They were amazing with early check in and late check out. There were a couple of things that needed fixing and they sent someone up right away to take care of it.

if it wasnt for bad luck, they wouldnt have any luck at all. 1st day -- water to the property got shut off for like 12 hours instead of 2 hours... Also, somehow their internet provider was down for 4 days !?!? in 2024 in the US, stuff like this shouldnt happen... It happenned here.

Great location that you can walk to shops and the beach. Staff was very friendly and helpful. It was clean but it needs a lot of work/upgrade especially the carpet and A/C unit. It has a microwave, refrigerator and free parking, which was important since we often had leftovers. It was okay.

The room smelled like smoke

They suppose to charge me only for 1 night but I get charged for 2 night even I checked out at 10 Am .when I called the manager he hung up on me The room smell cigarettes
