The room was nice, but the A/C was out and the manager was quite rude about it. To be honest the 2 guys at the front desk were much more pleasurable to deal with than the female manager. There was also another female employee was rude as well when I was reporting the issue. They had me and my husband get up and pack at 2:30am to relocate us to a different room, only to bring us a box fan 1.5hrs later. I feel like this is an upscale resort and we shouldn’t have been subjected to using a box fan and then deal with the rudeness from staff met after reporting the issue. There are also a lot of hidden fees that you aren’t made aware of prior to booking. Please be sure to ask the total to include fees to booking. Now the restaurant has excellent food!

Convenient Beautiful location. Clean rooms, Awesome and friendly staffs from Valet to receptionist and to the Sea Guini. Definitely we'll be back here.

Booked for a staycation on the 4th of the July. Wonderful experience all around. A little pricey, but well worth it. Will likely book again.

Front Desk staff was young, inexperienced and essentially learning on the job. Ocean Front Suite was really nice. Food was average and not enough options on Menu.

The Opal Sands resort was a great weekend getaway for me and my family. It's in the heart of Clearwater beach Pier 60 where you have great places to eat, drink and just hang out. I would definitely recommend this resort.

Wonderful property! Relaxing and sunny! Be careful of Friday and Saturday night stays with other people’s kids everywhere in the pool area being very loud -parents not keeping watch. Sunday morning has been so quiet and relaxing, feels like a different crowd altogether!

Everything about the hotel was amazing! The only down side was the pool was covered with little kids. Summer time I guess. We will have to go back during school so we can actually enjoy the pool. Other than that it was a perfect place for a couples getaway!

Check in was smooth even though we were early. Service was great overall; most staff were very friendly. There was a wedding so parking was an issue for our dinner guests that drove to meet us. Property was beautiful! We’d definitely go there again.

Excellent service, amenities, and the view of the Gulf from the room was breathtaking! Opal Sands is by far the best hotel on Clearwater Beach!

We love this resort. The pool water was perfectly refreshing and cool and it is mid June when the pools have such warm water. The food and servers and restaurants were so good. Very generous portions and delicious. Love the location and how you can go in the beach so easily. Our room was gorgeous and what a comfortable bed!! The waterfront view was amazing!! I cannot think of one thing that I did not like. Will return as often as we can.

Right from check-in everything went well! Folks at this resort were super friendly, and I should say this resort is well managed. We loved the view of the bay from our balcony, dining choices at the restaurant within the hotel and in-room dining service, and the resort pool where our toddler had lots of fun!

Our family of 4 and a dog stayed the memorial day weekend in Opal Sands and we loved everything they offered. The pool overlooking the beach was beautiful and my girl even spotted a dolphin from the pool. All the food and beverages we ordered from the restaurant and bar were great with reasonable price. The room we stayed was in good condition overall and I especially liked the wooden floor. There was a construction site in the hotel but it was limited to the corner of the ground floor and did not bother at all. The option of walking to and from the beach was the best part as it was clean and safe to play there until dark.

We stayed here june 1-5. Upon arrival, check in process was easy. Valet was always available. Whole hotel property was clean and smelled so lovely. The staff was friendly. Our room was clean and we had the best view ever- we could see people on the beach, boats passing, and dolphins in the water. Ice cream social every day and free cookies. We had so much fun and it was really relaxing. Pool was great too. We’ll definitely be back.
