When I made my reservation I received an email that the elevator was broken and out of use. I called and was told it was to be fixed before we arrived. When we arrived it was not Andy our room was in the third floor. When we told the hotel clerk on duty we couldn’t walk up 3 floors she wanted to upgrade us for a fee and we objected
and let her know what we were told the elevator would have been fixed upon check in so she agreed to give us a room on the first floor without an addl charge w/o an upgrade finally.

housekeeping upon request - I requested, and they never came - then, after being told they would come, again, they did not come, at which point I was told that there would be a turndown serve. Again, I returned to an unkept room.

The grounds are beautiful, as is the lobby. The staff, including the valet attendants, are all so nice. Really lovely hotel.

The Montecito Inn is in an excellent location. Staff were all really friendly. Room was comfortable and clean. The air conditioner didn’t work and the toilet didn’t flush well. But I would definitely stay there again.

Beautiful, comfortable, vintage California/Spanish style architecture, excellent fitness facility, nice self-serve juice/coffee/fruit/pastries in lobby each morning, overall a very nice experience.

Very quaint boutique hotel in great location. Slightly updated but definitely old school. Staff was great. We were on the street side so it was a little loud but overall nice

Very quaint older inn with lots of charm. Does need some updates. Carpet musty. We were on 2nd floor, and guest above us on 3rd floor very heavy footed. Our whole room shook every time they walked! Very close and walking distance to many restaurants and shopping. In house restaurant a great plus! The staff was very friendly!

The rooms are not sound proofed... We could hear the conversation and TV of the room next to us... Makes it hard to sleep at night

The room we are in is much too loud from traffic outside, voices in the hallway, and noise from other guests staying above us. There are stains on the curtains and lampshades. We will never stay here again.

The property is in desperate need of renovation. The bathrooms are outdated and in poor condition and the bedroom furniture was falling apart. The restaurant staff were inexperienced and badly trained. Cold coffee at breakfast is not a good excuse!

The Hotel is charming and staff excellent but the age of the hotel shows in a few glaring issues.
We had very little hot water and really missed having coffee available in room.
The elevator looks to have been refurbished but the gate slams shut and could pose potential injury.
Lots of construction noise until 1:30 in the morning, resumed at 5:30.

Expedia conformation number did not match hotel. Room was small and needed painting. Nothing in the room, no water, coffee.... at $525 a night it should have been nicer.
