Decently nice room but wasn't cleaned. The bed had pet and human hair on the pillowcases and sheet so they obviously weren't changed. And table tops and microwave, bed or toilet obviously weren't cleaned at all. But we got a really good price so I guess cleaning isn't included with the price we paid. haha But for real, the maid needs to be fired if they were supposed to clean because they didn't do the job.

Good location for restaurants and the room was clean with a very comfortable bed and pillows. Down fall was the TV. Very few channels and remote didn’t work well.

150.00 for a king room...it was only missing the fridge..microwave..hair dryer..garbage cans..coffee pot..iron..Smoke detector was in a drawer.The only things in the room was a bed..TV that wasn't working and 2 towels. But charged full price. Lady at front desk could care less.We found a different hotel immediately and was told we'd get a refund. Will be contacting management Check your room first would be my warning.

Upgraded to a suite for extra $45 and fridge didn’t work. Breakfast included but bare. Seemed like a decent area to stay. Felt safe parking car overnight. Cheapest hotel in the area for a reason

Friday night we check in to our room on the fourth floor. When I get up the next morning, planning to go to a dressy event, I find the elevator is out of order. It was still out of order when we left Sunday noon. Through the course of our stay on Saturday and Sunday, we had to go from 1st floor to 4th floor on a filthy external stairwell that reeked of marijuana smoke and where the door to each floor of the hotel was propped open with a towel. On one occasion, after traipsing up to the fourth floor, I found the towel was not there, so the door was locked. I had to return to the first floor, walk the length of the hotel, and then climb the four floors on the other end. I had to walk the stairs at least six times over the course of our stay, including taking all of our bags out to the car when we left, which took three trips as we could not use the luggage cart. We ordered dinner out one evening, but the delivery person just left our food at the front desk when they realized the elevator didn't work. How secure would you feel knowing that anyone has access to the inside floor of every floor? A handicapped man traveling with a dog was on the third floor and I passed him multiple times struggle to let his dog out. Another group were working a haunted house and two women were having to carry heavy cartons of costumes and gear up to their 3rd floor room. I would strongly recommend dropping this hotel from your schedule until they have completed their renovations.

The only dog friendly room they had was on the third floor and they're elevator was broken unfortunately I have a 13-year-old dog with a bad leg so we couldn't use the place they should have let us know before we made the trip.

Perhaps due to the pending hurricane every room South of Gastonia NC to north of Charlotte was sold out. This place has tgree rooms and we are thankful. The checkin staff was great. The elevator was broken so we had to carry luggage three flights of stairs and we are 70 years old. Many things were broken, ice machine, pool. Carpets were very worn and dingy. Room was clean, beds were soft but really looked worn. Grateful for room but would never stay there under normal circumstances.

I absolutely cannot believe that Hotels.com even offers this hotel as part of their choices. It was absolutely disgusting and seemed like a hangout for drug and or illegal immigrants. Feared for our safety and actually grabbed our gun for that purpose. Tried to turn on the faucet in the room and it came off in my hands. Looks ok from the outside but inside smells terrible and it is a hot mess. Would NEVER stay here again and now doubt the quality of Hotels.com. Do they not even check to see what kind of crap they offer on their website?

The inn was fine the problem was the elevator was out of order we were on the 4'th I have bad back and knees .stairs were horrible

This is our third time staying in this hotel. It is comfortable, quiet, and has easy access from the interstate. The continental breakfast is great, and they continue to put money into updates. Our rooms and other areas had received updates since our last stay. We all commented on the excellent water pressure. That may seem like an odd compliment, but that's how impressed we were. The cleaning crew was sloppy. We found a toothbrush and pennies left behind from the last occupant. The soap tray and shampoos were not placed at the sink. We found them the next morning next to the coffee maker which was on top of the microwave.

The stay was nice, but where going use the pool and when we got there it was closed for the winter. Also, to have the room cleaned we had to ask but did not know that.

Was disappointed with the breakfast options. Coffee was cold (at 9:45 am; tasted like it was from the night before). Nothing was set up. Carpet in hallway was stained. Needs an update for sure.

The bed is super comfortable! Typical hotel experience overall. Loved the morning breakfast. No complaints from this traveler.

The check in was easy, & the desk clerk was friendly and considerate. I accidentally booked smoking instead of non-smoking, and she changed it with no issue. The room wasn't very clean. There was some substance on the light above the sink, an empty water bottle under the corner of the mattress, an empty dorito bag in the drawer. The bathroom had no towel rack, the toilet paper dispenser was falling off the wall, & the freezer had so much icing over, it was difficult to put anything in it. On the plus side, the buffet breakfast was good. Waffles, sausage, eggs, potatoes, cereal, bagels, toast, apples, coffee, milk, orange juice, & other drinks.

Property was possibly taken over from Clarion hotels. The price was great, great location but the rooms were a little rough. Had to change rooms due to leak in bathroom and a broken picture. Second room the light by the beds was loose, and the hair dryer was pulled off the wall. Breakfast was better than expected.

Fran at the front desk was outstanding in her attitude and her helpfulness. First room assigned was not ready so it was nice she found us another room.

The receptionists there are always sooo kind and accommodating. They go above and beyond. We stay there quite often and they’re so nice.

I was hesitant to book based on other people’s reviews but was happy I decided to. Our nightly stay was very affordable compared to other places in my search. The bathroom was a bit dated but very clean. The room was clean and the beds were very comfortable. An added plus was the hotel was dog friendly. Breakfast was a basic hotel breakfast. We did read that Lake Norman was a 15 minute walk. This is true…but not to the state park trail areas (actually a 30 minute drive). I should have checked directions beforehand. Just a heads up to anyone planning to visit the trails.

The room was ok. The carpet was really bad. The bed was VERY comfortable. Front desk staff were really nice.

Great location. Okay property. Rooms were half-way renovated. Need a full renovation. Coffee & water. Air conditioners were very old and need new ones in building. Pool was closed in mid summer - made no sense.

I had to change rooms as the 1st room the refrigerator and phone didn’t work. I switch my room and the refrigerator didn’t work in that room either and it had a nasty smell. I didn’t change the room again. Also the pool was closed and that was not mentioned prior to booking the room.
