Staff was very pleasant. Bed comfortable.
It appears they tried to remodel very cheaply and not well done. Room smelled, shower dripping continuously, bathroom sink drain very slow and walls are paper thin. You can tell they try their best but.....

My husband had surgery and it was a long day at the hospital. I arrived very tired. I was treated very well. Everyone was very helpful and kind. The food was very good. I would stay there again.

Nice room and hotel, room clean and hotel well-staffed Liked that there were two people at check in. Missed evening snack but breakfast was good and attendant constantly cleaning and restocking. Free shuttle to immediate area.
Could use better signage along hiway 6. Plenty of parking but etting out of lot to got U of I hospitals or sporting events was difficult.

Nice value hotel near the athletic complex of University of Iowa. Shuttle to games, so a great place to stay for a night or two for the big game. The staff is extremely friendly (Midwest nice). The rooms show their age a bit but beds are comfortable and the whole place was quiet.

I have been staying their lots lately. 8 nights this month. Love the breakfast - but I do get tired of sausage and eggs. Maybe bacon every once in a while. Maybe biscuits and gravy. As is - the breakfast is fine. They do have bagels, waffles, cereals, yogurts, and donut holes! I really shouldn’t complain!!!

Much cheaper than downtown. Clean. Very nice breakfast. Free dinner Monday-Thursday. Free shuttle to the hospital.

The Heartland Inn felt a bit more upscale than I had expected. It was clean, well-lit, comfortable, and looked well maintained. We needed only a place to light while traveling from Massachusetts to Minnesota, and it fit the bill well. We checked in after 10PM after driving 800 miles, and everything was ready and seamless, which, if you have ever driven 800 miles in a day, is priceless.

Excellent place to stay for a night to relax and have some time with the boyfriend but last night I had gotten a room with the tv on the way other side of the room so that was the only inconvenience other than that I didn’t have any issues.

We had a great stay at the Heartland Inn. We booked a hot tub room and it was huge! So relaxing and comfortable. We'll definitely stay here again when visiting Iowa City.

Loved our overnight stay on our way through Iowa. Got there and was warmly greeted by LaLa at the front desk, and they were serving a nice light dinner. It comfortable and clean and very welcoming. Will definitely be back!

The night guy who checked us in couldn't be bothered to check us in- rude and didn't care to answer my questions. He might have said two words total. Not a good first impression!!

The staff was very helpful. My husband has some physical limitations and the staff gave us great accomodations. There was not only free breakfast but they also offered free dinner. Very nice facility for the price.
