The hotel was first class. Rooms were well furnished. We also had views to the harbour. Breakfasts were brilliant. Loads of food well cooked. There was also a great Italian restaurant nearby as hotel did not do evening meal. It was also handy for transport to the airport.

Hotel was very nice and the breakfast fantastic. The front desk personnel were uneducated about the city. In fact, I knew more about their city than they. They were also uneducated about the local bus/ train/ light rail service. In fact, they were not sure which bus goes to the airport. When asking for food recommendations they only knew what was across the street from the hotel. They were however, very polite.

Great location, our room was directly facing the market, really good one. As expected the room and bathroom were small, but all was small. The breakfast was good!

Everything was excellent except breakfast where we had to queue-up and fight for everything. Way to cramped and busy.

Pros: amazing breakfast with lots of choices, let us check in early, good location by the fish market but it’s loud, nice and helpful front desk people, good bar/lounge area Cons: lots of loud banging in the courtyard in the middle of the night every night around 4:00-5:00 am, some small rooms, hot in the rooms as the windows don’t open very far, limited amount of shelves due to small rooms, no chairs or table in the rooms so not great to hang out in, loud location but centrally located, no view

Ridiculously overpriced for the size of the room and bathroom and lack of ventilation (room was 24°C with no air conditioning, no fans, and window only opening 4” to a noisy street). To be fair, other properties are also high priced in this area so would recommend staying away from area and driving or taking bus into town.

I recommend this hotel

We liked the location and its proximity to transportation and sights. The building is obviously an older one that has had additions and renovations. The single elevator from the main lobby is very small for the size of the hotel did not service the top two floors. Stairwells were confusing and hallways were maze like. The layout is not very user friendly. Breakfast was great and had lots of options. Beds were comfortable and we slept well each night.

The hotel it’s in the City centre near the market fish you have a restaurant to transport bus tourists and all the market shopping rooms it's a very good view mountain and the market fish the service in this hotel is professional I recommend this hotel

The gentleman at the reception was extremely helpful.

Great location and great staff

Our second time staying here. The only thing I would change is replenishing the breakfast buffet more often and add another espresso machine. The line gets very long.

Perfect location for a stay in Bergen. In the heart of the city, walking distance to everything. Staff was super friendly and helpful (thanks for all the ice for my leg injury :), breakfast was amazing and the rooms were clean and comfortable albeit a touch small. Highly recommend!

Great location that worked well for us. The breakfast was good. The rooms were smaller but not that bad for European standards. The elevator was quite small for the property. Others complained about noise but thankfully we didn’t have this experience.

Walking distance to rail station. Restaurants at the doorstep. Rooms with balcony with a nice view of the harbor.

The best breakfast ever. Hotel so central to everything. Great value. Lift was out of order while there but alternative worked fine. We were on the 7th floor so head room was challenging but the room had everything you needed.

Very good location of the hotel. Comfortable beds. Good breakfasts, BUT: The restaurant for breakfast is inefficient, even early in the morning, terribly crowded, from 8.30-10.00 you have to wait a long time for a free table. One person to serve the room. :-( One small elevator is inefficient!!! Unfortunately, the view from the room is of the inner dark courtyard with a small window. This would still be bearable, but from the courtyard you can hear the noise of the fans from the air conditioning and the unpleasant smell of garbage all day long. You can forget about opening the window. The conditions of such a room should be reported!!! Such rooms should be sold at a reduced price!!! The hotel does not respond to questions and requests via the Hotels.com application Such a situation should not happen, even when the hotel is full!!! :-(((

Having just got off a Viking ship, this was a bit of an adjustment but overall it is a very good location. It is in the heart of Bergen. The rooms are small and rather spartan but there is everything you need. The breakfast is fine and filling. We had elevator trouble the first day and we're concerned but it was really our fault to not see the oad to use your room card. The security here to get to the rooms is really good. It's a great deal for the $.
