Had an outstanding restaurant within the hotel

Excellent location in Zona Romantica! The food in the all inclusive package was delicious! Salvador cooks the best food! Staff is very friendly, attentive, and courteous. Walkable distance to the Malecon and Isla Cuela for shopping. Lots of great restaurants nearby as well! Will definitely stay here again when I come back to PV!

The area is so convenient to walk around, there’s so many amazing restaurants and food stands to try. The hotel was great too. There are plenty of pools and it’s right on the beach! Our room had a balcony with pool chairs which was great to watch the sunset and see the ocean.

I liked everything

The location is ideal however the all inclusive food and drink is barely worth it. The liquor selection is terrible to the point where I ended up buying my own liquor and beer. The food is just okay nothing spectacular. We were awarded a tasting menu 1 evening and this was better. I'd give the liquor a D grade and the food a B- . Pool was nice and warm. Spa was fantastic, thank you Patty! Location is walking distance to night clubs. Numerous beaches within a 15 minute uber. I would say the biggest let down was the alcohol. My partner and I found ourselves going to the seafood restaurant upstairs (los Marcos??) for a decent cocktail; this was not included in the all inclusive. I'd say if you dont care too much about a decent cocktail or high quality food then add the all inclusive however if you do your palate will not be satisfied. Great for a cheap trip and seems popular amongst natives who are looking for a quick getaway.

So this hotel looks great in the pictures but the room was just so-so. The only window looked out onto a hallway wall and it smelled strongly of mold. The food is... well... don't get the "all-inclusive" package. It's disgusting American food-- hamburgers, hotdogs, chicken nuggets and fries. I'm glad I didn't book that option when I saw what was on offer. The pool was fair. Best feature of this hotel was the location. It was inexpensive though... so if you're looking for a bargain this is a decent choice.

Hotel is the middle of everything!

This is my second year here and I love it.

This hotel far exceeded my expectations. Several reviews made it sound like the hotel was run down or dirty, but this was very inaccurate compared to what I experienced. The rooms looked remodeled and were clean with higher end amenities, such as a large walk in shower. The grounds were beautiful with a large pool, a hot tub, and an infinity pool right on the beach. Only complaint was the room smelled of mildew when I first arrived but seemed to dissipate once I turned the air conditioner on. Overall a great experience and a lot of bang for your buck.

Overall it was not worth the money spent. Location was good, but the pool area chairs are limited at claimed early. The pools themselves were nice- honestly the best part! The all inclusive is very limited and doesn’t even include a can of beer or a bottle of water. Food was alright but again super limited for the all inclusive option. The property is overrun with birds; was literally pooped on from a bird an hour into our stay. The worst of it all was our “superior single room.” Old, small (maybe a utility closet), overlooking the street so loud, no patio or overlook. Not what was shown in the pictures on Expedia or their website. Cheaply painted. Beat up refrigerator; old split for “ac.” The bathroom was small and dirty; you hardly stand up straight in there and there was an open vent to the outside. Crack under the front door felt like anyone could come in. The room was not clean there was a cheato dusted lip print on the window. We had friends with the same booking who had a completely updated hotel room worth the money. I feel like we were scammed. Hotel will not process a refund. We had stayed in an Air BnB for less money a few days prior and the value was so much more.

The beach has a lot of stones and my room smelled so much of humidity and cockroaches.

hotel was very old fashioned. no AC in the lobby but at least the room had AC. decoration were beautiful but very old. some of the lights in our room didn’t work. the staff were all super nice and friendly! all inclusive resort was not all great. the food had no flavor whatsoever or seasoning, the food tasted bland, the drinks were not the greatest and was a limit of two drinks a day. mostly tried and ate food outside the resort. but the whole resort staff was wonderful! the SPA was a must do. absolutely loved the spa! only downside was that it’s right by the beach so you could everything outside. not much relaxing but the massage was amazing!

The rooms are very outdated, the buffet is too repetitive and the food is bad.

We loved the property and something for all The staff is amazing and helpful with professional attitudes all wearing uniforms so you do know who you can refer to for anything We did not eat here at the restaurant but everything looked and smells amazing You always see staff cleaning and i mean from sweeping to scrubbing property and rooms The foliage and ambiance is beautiful for such a dated hotel Some times missing and bathrooms did have slope in our unit so in bathroom needed caution as the floor would get sink water on it often we just plut down towels to stay dry but i think my only concern was with the elevator adjacent the restaurant as it was placed out of service and we did get stuck in it...was fixed but same problem happens a few days later we by choice started using steps where surprisingly easy to climb had low 3inch steps to traverse so was good exercise daily Top notch local accommodations and I would definitely stay here again without reserve

Walking distance to everything prime location.

This hotel is in very poor condition to stay. We found black mold on the pillows and all behind the headboard of the bed. We left immediately. That is not safe for guests. Hotel refused to refund my money. Do not recommend to anyone, especially if those with health problems.

The hotel is a bit old but in the perfect location! Would definitely stay here again. Food was okay, and so were the drinks. It’s close to everything

The pools and beach club are fantastic, as is the beach drink serving staff! The location to the Malecon is great and we appreciated the family-friendly hotel policy so it wasn’t loud with party people all night.

The thing l like around the Hotel, is that everything was within walking distance. I dint like the hotel look way different from the pictures..Also the stuff members where not attentive we had a leak on the A/C and they didn't went to check out.Also l thought it was all Inclusive they lied in their website..l will not stay there again. :(

Nice place on the beach. Great staff and good drinks!

Location is perfect. Everything is easy access, dining, bars, quick mart, Ubers. Wife and I only stayed 1 night before going to our final destination. Property does need an update, and they need to have someone clean the pools more often. Found many cups of water inside the pool and trash floating around. The dinning and breakfast options are worth it. Food is delicious.

Playa Los Arcos has been our go to hotel for twenty years . Their renovations has made it more expensive but so is the entire area. But it is still worth it . The staff, front desk and food is 5 star. The beach has suffered from the last storm as well. They have j trucked in sand for the beach but swimming and walking in the surf is difficult as the rocks are sharp and dangerous. I highly recommend water shoes to be safe. Nevertheless the hotel is the same wonderful hotel in the best area of Puerto Vallarta.

So many inconveniences in the room, clogged shower, water spillage from sink, no screen in window so mosquitoes would get in, dangerous tile at the bottom of pool which my son cut his foot on. Not a pleasant experience

Room conditions could use improvement; very outdated and loud air conditioning.

This was my second stay at Playa Los Arcos and all was well until a mirror (held up with a tacky adhesive) fell and smashed in our room while my boyfriend and I were out of the room. I had went up to grab something before we ventured out for the day and found the mirror shattered on the floor. We promptly reported the incident to the front desk and went on with the day. Upon our return to the hotel, we found a letter saying we must pay 1800 pesos for the broken mirror-which we did not break. We were referred to the concierge and explained the circumstances of the broken mirror again. The concierge seemed empathetic, she took pictures of our room, said the mirror appeared to be held up by super glue and told us not to worry about it. Upon checkout, it was a different story. We had to speak to another concierge who insisted we pay for the broken mirror. I was accused of breaking the mirror and was flabbergasted. After an hour of retelling the same story over and over the manager was finally called. We explained that we paid good money to stay at the hotel, tipped the wait staff generously and would have no problem paying for a broken mirror-had we broken it; it was the principle. We did nothing wrong, wear and tear happened and we refused to be charged for damages we had nothing to do with. The manager conceded and did not charge us, but this took about 6 hours of explaining and disputing. I will never stay at this property again.
