Very nice place right on the beach. Great price

Hotel was right on the water and we stayed in the Lakeside Balcony room. We enjoyed the Lake breezes and the view of the lake. The room was good size and we were right across from the laundry was in our case this awesome.

Except for the heavy partying going on in the room above us the last night, it was a surprisingly pleasant stay.

The hotel looked nice and was very clean. Cleanliness is always at the top of my list!! We had two queen beds. One was higher than the other. I imagine one was a newer bed maybe. The taller bed was comfortable while the shorter bed wasn’t so much. The balcony had a sliding door, but no sliding screen which was disappointing because it was cool out at night and we weren’t able to enjoy the fresh air, but had to keep the door shut and air on as the room was quite stuffy. It had rained the first night and the balcony floor formed a very large puddle of water on almost the entire floor area that had no way to drain off apparently, so we didn’t go out there to sit either. Otherwise, it was a pleasant stay with a gorgeous view.

Property was clean, staff was very nice. Breakfast is only continental style. The sliding door to the patio was difficult to open and close. Our takeaway is that the 1 night stay was not worth $400 (including taxes). I realize it’s summer but nothing about amenities or the room matches the price

Hotel amenities are great! Beachfront rooms on beautiful Houghton Lake with beach volleyball, Cornhole, multiple fire pits surrounded with chairs, pet friendly, indoor heated pool, hot tub, and the MOST COMFORTABLE beds that I've EVER slept on in a hotel. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

The check-in did not go well. I used my credit card when I reserved separate rooms for myself and my parents. I asked the night clerk at the hotel if my parents could pay for their room separately. For some reason, she split the payment for one of the rooms and asked how we wanted to pay for the other one. I told her again that we just wanted the rooms charged separately. She said we were already checked in so the best she could do was split the payment on the other room too. It all got very confusing. We weren't given any receipts. We were tired from driving all day, so we just went to the room. When we thought about it, we realized we were overcharged. We brought this up in the morning when we checked out, and the lady readjusted the charge. We were undercharged then, but she said not to worry about it. Otherwise, the rooms were very nice, but the corners of the ceiling could use a dusting.

Very nice private beach and picnic area!

We had a beach front walkout room. It was perfect because we brought our paddleboards and coukd keep them outside right on the patio and hit the water whenever we wanted. They have 2 fire pits and a sand volleyball court. The beach loungers they provide are great! We will be back!

We had a great time. The staff was really nice and helpful. Beautiful balcony view of the lake! Nice sandy beach!

All the staff were friendly. The front desk staff, breakfast staff, and housekeeping staff were all wonderful. The free breakfast was also very satisfying. They also had boiled eggs, which my kids love, which was a great help. The guest rooms were well cleaned and comfortable. The bathrooms in particular were the best. I always want to soak in a clean bathtub, and that was possible here. The shower booth and bathtub are separate, so I was able to relax in the bathtub after cleaning myself in the shower booth. I would like to stay here again if I'm in the area.

The beachfront hotel is fantastic. The beach and sand are super clean, and the staff is very helpful.

The location was awesome, room clean, comfy bed, nice staff. Negatives: The sliding door wouldn’t open all the way, it was broke. The toilet didn’t flush and the hair drier barely blew. Other than that great.

our stay in the room facing the lake was decent....we opted to try the room with a spa which ended up facing the road...the setup in the room was not comfortable. We failed to get any sleep due to the noise level...*Construction was taking place on the roads outside, and we had no notice of this....We would have chosen to stay elsewhere, if we knew about the construction =( Hopefully, the site notifies future guests of such things....so they can adjust which room they stay in.

The beach on the property is really nice, beautiful views of the lake. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

One night stay- lovely hotel with great room of excellent view of the lake and beach.

The staff is soooooo friendly and helpful. And That is the very first impression you get when when you walk in the door. the rooms are quite adequate and clean. the view out from the balcony is spectacular and the outside facilities are amazing
