Perfect location! Pompeii 15 minutes away, Sorrento 20 minutes away and an hour to the Amalfi Coast. La Medusa did not disappoint, the grounds are beautiful and well kept, the Spa services are fabulous and the hospitality was top notch like a 5 star hotel in Beverly Hills, CA. We were shocked to see the breakfast variety and that it was all included! We have definitely recommended La Medusa to our friends and will return!

Nice hotel BUT unfortunately I must share an incident that happened to us as well as another guest during our stay: The hotel seems to be a popular venue for events: weddings, birthdays, etc. which means the parking lot gets pretty crowded. The second night there was a big wedding, we gave our car to the valet as there was no place to park. He received our rental car, checked it, the car key tag detailing damage was left blank as it should have been. Then the next day, two cars had damage, ours at 2 different places (door and bumper) and another guest (side mirror) who got VERY upset and made a big scene. We on the other hand said that we understand this things happen, please check the surveillance video. End of the story, the manager told me that there was nothing they could do, they have the tags but don't really use them, the video showed nothing wrong (but could not show me the video). So I was left with a rental car damaged in 2 places. Last thing I said, was to al least give me a credit or discount in F&B bill to make up for the costs I was going to incurr on the rental. Said no. Platinum Member on Expedia for many years now, first time I've had to leave a really bad review for a hotel, which given the way that they handle a problem, should not be in the VIP list or the SLH list.

Beautiful hotel, excellent service and hospitality, breakfast was amazing. Only problem is it’s a bit far from Sorrento and other sightseeings and there’s nothing to do in that town. They provide shuttle to the train station and it takes about 20 mins to get to Sorrento which is not bad. Ask about what hours the hotel shuttle is free because they will charge a fee at the end which no one mentioned on the first day.

Very nice hotel with truly stunning gardens, nice pool, spa, rooftop breakfast space and romantic garden restaurant. Very polite and well-trained staff. This hotel classifies as 5 stars, however, the rooms would be to renovated.

Loved - hotel grounds, setting, decadence and quality of hotel. True place to relax and be pampered. Staff were extremely attentive and friendly and food was perfection. Nothing too much trouble. Rooms were beautiful and view from breakfast was out of this world. Just amazing. Negatives - the location was not quite where we wanted to be. Castlemmare Di Sabia is in the middle of pompei and sorrento. Great for hiking, cable car and trips in and around pompei but for us too far out from the evening entertainment of Sorrento. We spent a lot of time in taxis and trains to and from Sorrento for the nicer places to Dine and enjoy the atmosphere. Castlemmare is a bit of a dive compared! Glad we experienced the hotel as pure luxury and I know that if it was in sorrento it would be x3 more expensive per night! If we were to return I’d do two Nights here and 2 nights in sorrento

What can I say about La Medusa. I could write so much but in summary simply amazing. First impressions, beautiful period estate with stunning views and beautiful gardens. Serenity itself. From the reception to the Maitre D and restaurant staff to the fantastic team in the Spa. They were all amazing and help make this stay memorable and relaxing. Thank you and we will for sure be back.

Really good stay, the staff very kind, the room very clean and comfortable. Sunsets from the room were magic! We walked from train station and it was little complicated because the direct road was closed, but they offered a shuttle from the train station to avoid this, I will recommend it definitely to take instead of walking. The spa has an extra charge but It totally worth it!

A beautiful hotel set in lovely grounds with breath taking views Food on site was fantastic and the staff could t have been more helpful and attentive. Our waiter Vincenzo and Stephan, the pool attendant were very helpful and made sure we had everything we needed. The reception desk arranged the free shuttle for us on a number of occasions and when it wasn’t available arrange us cabs. This was all easily organised through whats app. We couldn’t fault the hotel and would definitely return but it is a shame that the local area doesn’t have more around. It is an ideal hotel to spend a few days relaxing or maybe as a base if you hire your own car. There are limited places to eat if you want to go outside I would definitely

The hotel was wonderful, the grounds and inside beautiful all facilities were superb. Breakfast was lovely with loads of choice and all waiters really took care and looked after us. Rooms were lovely and room service excellent. All the staff made us feel welcome and were amazing at giving us advice and help especially as we had several problems with lost luggage and a car problem did everything they possibly could to help us. Nothing Wes too much bother. We loved our stay and will go back and would highly recommend to stay here. The hotel and staff our amazing and welcoming. Thank you for making it such a lovely stay.

Gorgeous property with amazing outdoor garden and pool area… The restaurant was the best food we had in Italy…. Staff and service were fast, professional and friendly…. An unexpected jewel and a short drive to the ruins of Pompei…

perfect location in the middle of Naples Vesuvius Pompeii and Amalfi ...Accessable to all the locations... very friendly staff... SPA treatment was great ... and the Breakfast in the mornings on the terrace was most beautiful experience...

The hotel was very beautiful and the staff were excellent. Very clean hotel with a nice room. The only thing that I would have liked to seen would be a more of a complete breakfast. The breakfast was very limited but the staff did their best to make up for it. Otherwise I would recommend this hotel.

The food, service, staff and amenities are excellent. It is a beautiful oasis so travel from here can be pricey - so either hire a car for touring or make some of the journey from the local train station to which there is a courtesy shuttle.
