Has a creepy feel, and made me feel like i was walking into the shining. It was a great hotel! The staff were friendly and answered questions. Beds were comfy. We searched the haunted areas and also looked around at all the placea famous people stayed at. What a great stay

We enjoyed our stay at the Genetti Hotel. The history of the hotel is documented by the many photos of notable guests. Staying in the downtown area made it easy to visit local shops, restaurants, and taverns. We stayed Aug.18-22 to see the Little League World Series and the hotel was ready for visiting guests with the lobby decorated with balloons and signs. Our room was quaint with the historical decor of the hotel’s history. The bed was comfortable. The view was beautiful! The staff and restaurants were excellent! The free breakfast buffet selections were delicious and varied each day. Of course, we tipped the wait staff. The bar in the evening was a great place to wind down after a day full of baseball. Although we had planned to use the pool, we didn’t get a chance to use it. It looked clean and inviting! Parking is truly free! What a luxury! The hallways were showing wear; paint chipped, in need of a thorough cleaning. We were surprised not having any maid service for the days we were there. No one even emptied the trash or vacuumed. That was disappointing. We didn’t think we’d have to ask.

Wonderful hotel located in the center of Williamsport. This older hotel has aged gracefully and displays a refinement rarely found in newer hotels.

Stayed in a Suite as all other rooms were sold out due to little league World Series. Expensive but nice. Great breakfast which only cost gratuity.

We were looking foward to our stay at the Genetti Hotel. It has a rich history with photos of famous guests who have stayed at the hotel. The lobby was welcoming and prepared for guests attending the Little League World Series with signs, balloons, information and friendly desk staff. We stayed Sunday-Thursday. Unfortunately, the room was a disappointment. It was very small for a king suite. There was only one small window and the television was on a chest blocking the window. Housekeeping did not visit to empty trash or to see if we needed towels or sheets even after the third day. There was an adjoining room, but the person next door talked so loud each night until midnight and started again at 4:00AM. No one vacuumed the room or the hallway in front of the elevator. And, the mattress was covered in plastic. It was very disappointing.

Not that good. Ask for maid service and room was not cleaned the beds not made and no clean towels. There was mold on bathroom ceiling and shower curtain. Toilet had to be flushed multiple time for water to go down. Breakfast was great. Girls at front desk were very nice.

Interesting Property. It is quirky and poorly insulated from sound.

Nice stay

It prided itself in being an historic hotel. However, it is showing its age. It was historic, but not luxurious.

I love the “old” feel the of the Genetti, while providing all the needs of the day. Good restaurants close by, The Stonehouse Wood Fired Pizza, Bullfrog Brewery and I’m sure others. There is also an AMC theater right next doors too.

I found this hotel has lots of historic charm that isn’t for everyone. The rooms are spacious and have everything you need. The kitchen was great, bathroom dated but also adequate. The two beds were clean and comfortable. The pull out couch had a stain on the blanket but the sheets themselves were ok. The view was great out our windows! My issue came to noise. You hear everything outside and it’s not a quiet street on a weekend night. Not only that but there is a club of sorts in the hotel that on the 7th floor I could hear till late. Not sure if this is a normal thing or event only but it didn’t make it easy to sleep.

Few hotels have the charm of the Genetti. When they updated it with modern amenities, they didn't lose the feel or the handsome antique furniture. Staff always are pleasant and very helpful. Excellent location in the heart of Williamsport. Park in the lot and walk to the restaurants, pubs, shops, and theaters. Or take advantage of the hotel's own Windows on 4th for food and drinks inside or cafe-style on the sidewalk. Nice outdoor pool, not the little indoor wading pool so many hotels offer. The two main elevators efficiently handle the traffic from the 10 floors with little wait or noise. Great views of the area from the upper floors. If you intend to use the pool a lot, or need to be close to the parking lot, I recommend one of the rooms listed with a view of the pool. That's a 2-story motel-like area. Otherwise, I recommend a room in the main part of the building, especially on the upper floors, for the view I mentioned. The regular rooms are cozy for a weekend stay. If you'll be there for a week, I recommend a suite, especially one with a kitchenette, which includes a small set of dishes as well as a small sink and stove with an oven, as well as the usual small fridge and full-size microwave. We've been staying at the Genetti roughly twice a year for about 5 years now. Rates always have been good. And it's very rare that a hotel provides a breakfast as good as this one. Where else do you get real, cooked eggs these days, not microwaved? Excellent facility

Hotel is very old. At first it looks nice then when you start to look around everything needs a good touch up. Room felt like sleeping in an antique shop. Room 325 has no view and one half window that is covered by the ac unit. Also laundry room is right next door so people are doing laundry all night. Wall paper in the room was coming off and bathroom is in ruff shape. Hotel has a shinning movie feel.

Loved it!

The staff in this hotel are so helpful and sweet. It's a historic hotel so it's obviously dated but under construction. It was clean and the pool was nice. The reason I didn't give it 5 stars is the walls are thin and if you have a room on the street side, you can hear the cars as if you're standing on the street.

Old, history filled hotel. Neat to see all the pics in the lobby. Room very old, but what you would expect in a vintage hotel. Not much going on in Downtown Williamsport at night.

Friendly employees and spacious room, Jacuzzi was nice and relaxing, would definitely recommend.

This is a classic center of town hotel that is 100 years old. It has been updated, but won't be as slick as a recently built chain hotel - But has a charm.

Nice rooms

This place is like stepping back in time. Very pretty but to be honest they need to invest into some new beds. If not for the beds i would stay again, but lets face the facts. Im staying there to sleep, hence id like a comfortable bed. next time Im in area I will go back to the Hampton.

We came for a concert..and the hotel was next door to the venue. Very convenient.

Look, it’s old. The elevators are exceptionally fast. But the hotel is OLD. If you like 1920’s-1930’s era rooms then this is for you. Peach tile bathroom, plate glass windows, low low toilet water pressure then this is it. Breakfast is off the hook.

I like the fact that it seemed like I was stepping back in time. The place and staff were wonderful. Dining opinions very good.

We loved the atmosphere and the staff!

Our room was terrible. It was nothing like the pictures indicated. The room looked old and tired and greatly in need of an update. The carpeting had large visible seams and looked like it was pieced together from sections from other rooms. There was a cable for the TV that was exposed and ran across the threshold leading into the bedroom. It created a significant tripping hazard. The room was not large enough to fit the two queen sized beds as you had about 12 inches to squeeze by the bed to get into the bathroom, I don’t feel the room was worth the money we paid for it and will not trust Expedia or Best Western for my future accommodations.
