The room was fine and cleaned. The bed was comfortable. The price was good as well.

I have never stayed in a room where it had doors on both side of the room a joining but there were locks on them. Just got creepy feeling going down the hallway maybe it just seemed to dark.

The hotel does not look like the picture. The stucco is dirty and weathered. Upon entering the establishment, there was a distinct mold/musty smell. The staff was initially friendly enough however, she spoke poorly of a consumer complaint she was handling on the phone. Walking to our room felt like we were in a horror movie. Stucco was falling off the walls, carpets were filthy, and there was no circulating air. We finally found our room by identifying the number that was written poorly with a magic marker. We opened the tarnished brass door handle and was immediately overwhelmed with the mold and mildew smell! Went to turn on the A/C unit only to find that the external parts were exposed on the floor (carpet peeled back) and handful of spiders having a party next to the excessive water on the floor. Our view was of the corner of the back parking lot that was littered with trash. This place made our skin crawl and there was no way we were staying another minute in that room! The front desk staff seemed indifferent to our concerns and did not offer a solution to rectify the situation. We wound up staying the night on our son’s college apartment floor since no other hotel room had vacancy at 8:00pm. We regret that we didn’t take any pictures to share. Having woken very early and hiked 6 miles we were exhausted and didn’t even think about it.

Although not mentioned on the hotel website or on Booking, staff required a scan of my drivers license. Staff refused to honor my reservation when I could not let them copy my license.

Usually, I've booked a room with double beds due to price. This time I booked the king room which was $10 more. It was worth it...the bed was sooo comfortable and to have the extra room to just sprawl across the bed. was really nice. And the room seemed not to have the heavy duty use the double bedrooms get. It was much nicer. the rug didn't look worn. The room was also at the front of the building, and I felt safer parking my car in the front.

The location

The lights in our room did not work, our toilet seat was broken, there was trash all on the floor (especially behind the bed and tables), our door didn’t lock, and the bed we were sleeping in felt like it was just the box spring with no mattress.
