Love staying here, but the pool needs a good clean/refurb and the rooms are starting to look dated.

We stayed for a week in August and enjoyed every minute of it: the room was large, clean, equipped with everything you might need; the staff was nice, thoughtful and always helpful; the food was good, diverse and waiters always careful of us. The pool and other facilities have been a good plus to the experience.

Amazing beaches nearby as well as the clean sea Charging extra fee for having a meal outside was a big minus. Also fee for towels

Decent breakfast buffet with plenty of options. All hotel personnel encountered were helpful and friendly. Self-parking lot is a pain to get to relative to the hotel. It was surprising and unexpected that I had to pay for use of the room safe.

Lovely hotel in a great location. Staff are a huge plus for this hotel, but the rooms could do with a bit of an upgrade, and the telly was not straight on the wall 🤔😂, but did not effect our overall enjoyment at this hotel. We would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a great holiday

Excellent hotel. Would definitely stay again. Large comfortable room with balcony and bathroom. Large tv but unfortunately no English channels apart from BBC world and Sky news.We had a pool view but the outside rooms are the same. Food and choice was very good except it could have been hotter. Quite good entertainment every night on the outside of the hotel open to everyone. Staff friendly and helpful with pretty good English (certainly better than my Spanish). The pool area is large and plenty of loungers and beds with bar and lunch area. There is an excellent sun terrace overlooking the large (but cold) pool.

Second time here, pool amazing, food fantastic, just a great little hotel!

We try to come here every year. This is our 7th visit and definitely won't be our last. All the staff are fantastic and are a credit ti to the hotel.

Located in a very lovely area of the island with both rocky terrain and sandy beaches nearby. Excellent buffet both in the morning and in the evening but even tons of excellent restaurants with walking distance. Attentive personal. Wonderful large pool with some activities offered.

The place to be in Menorca. Great fun, good fun and a wonderful location. Staff are very friendly and willing to help.

All the staff are absolutely amazing at this hotel, so friendly and go the extra mile to make you feel special - we were pleasantly surprised when we got a birthday bottle delivered to our door for my boyfriend during our stay, even got a card and biscuits! (It’s the little things) The guests were lovely also, it is a well sized hotel so you don’t feel swamped by other people, but also not too small - you can be social and still keep yourself to yourself when you want to. The evening entertainment was amazing with a high standard of performers. The day time activities were well constructed too - the lady who ran the pool volleyball seemed to really be able to bring all the guests together and have a laugh, the whole hotel was entertained and wanted to watch the game. From start to finish we had a perfect holiday and the hotel was a huge part of this. The only small cons I would mention was the food, this was all cooked to a high standard but we did struggle to eat our food while it was hot as it is of course a buffet style, and while this is to be expected at times, we seemed to never be too lucky in getting our food temperature right. The restaurant manager greeted you every time you entered and would find you a table if you needed help

This was our 5th visit to the Valentin Star and we will be going back. The staff are very helpful. The sun terrace offers an alternative to sun beds in the day. The entertainment and activity programme is varied from yoga to aqua volleyball. The hotel has a relaxed and friendly vibe. The food is excellent. The hotel is in a good location being right next to the marina in Cal'n Bosch and within walking distance of the beach and bus stops.

Lovely big , clean rooms . Well appointed bathroom . Excellent food , wide choice. Great pool and plenty of loungers. Evening entertainment was of a great standard.

Adults only hotel with good facilities, large swimming pool with terraces and a pool bar/cafe serving good food and snacks. Lovely buffet food at breakfast and dinner, large choice and generally good quality. Good evening entertainment. Large well appointed room. Very central position close to all local amenities. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this hotel and would stay there again.

I didn't like the fact that people were allowed to smoke round the pool. There should be a designated smoking area away from the majority of people

The hotel is right on the marina and although slightly dated is well kept.

Absolutely lovely stay! We are so pleased with our extended bank holiday trip at the Valentin Star Hotel. The room location was perfect and the breakfast buffet was incredible!The only thing that we can put a finger on is that the recommended shuttle bus was terrible and the one time we ordered lunch at the pool bar the food took ages and then arrived cold.We did not know the shuttle bus would take as long as it did. We were the first to arrive and then had to wait for the next few flights to arrive that had the remaining passengers. Then the bus broke down on the way extending the travel time. In the end it took us 3 hours to get to the hotel and being there a short time it felt like a bit of a waste. We cancelled the return bus and got a taxi instead which was much better.The hotel location and service was incredible and we would without a doubt go back!

All the staff were very friendly & helpful. Well run hotel next to a lovely Marina. Rooms were spacious and very clean. Good selection of toiletries, replenished daily. Kettle, milk, coffee/Tea & biscuits provided daily.

Amazing hotel, amazing selection of food. Staff always so pleasant and friendly. Hotel very central, next to the harbour & close to beaches. There was entertainment every night by the pool, couldn't wish for more!

Very nice adult only hotel close to the marina and beaches in Cala'n Bosch. Nice relaxed atmosphere and, surprisingly no hassle with getting a sunbed around the nice large pool during the time we were there! Buffet style food service which was of a very good standard with a reasonable amount of choice and variety for a week long stay that we had, and waiting staff we very helpful if a little slow at times to clear. Drinks at the hotel are a little on the expensive side and it was a confusing why, if you bought a drink at the hotel bar, you were not allowed to take it into dinner with you!!? It was also baffling and a perhaps little old fashioned that men had to wear long trouser o dinner and had to wear a top if eating at the pool bar but that ladies did not appear to be restricted by the same formalities. Entertainment in the hotel was of a high standard, particularly that provided by Stefan & Lydia at the pool of Yoga, Aquafit and Water volleyball.There was a good choice of evening entertainment at the hotel although that provided outside served the hotel bar which also catered for the general public so it was not easy for hotel guests to get a seat. Overall a very pleasant stay and would stay there again.

Hotel staff very friendly, nightly entertainment, something for everybody. Variety of food selection. Pool activities fun and a great environment for meeting people. It was our second visit and was not disappointed.

The hotel was very well presented and the staff in all quarters were very very pleasant and helpful. The restaurant provided a great selection of food at breakfasts and for evening meals, both were buffet self service. There was never a shortage of any of the food selectioms; it was being replenished with fresh even just prior to the restaurant's finish time. The only let down was a packed meal we requested, the content was a very poor selection of food and would not have gone well with a lot of people. We returned it back to the reception.

Our third visit to this hotel was as good as our first. Standards are very high and both staff and management are excellent. Some of the evening entertainment is excellent also though some is mediocre

Just returned from a week at this lovely hotel. Great location. We hired a car so was able to go out and about to various secluded beaches, and visit Mahon and cuitadella. Lovely pool area, very clean, and quite a lot of sun beds, although several were already reserved by breakfast. Could not fault the hotel staff, very friendly and attentive. Best food and selection for both breakfast and dinner. Nice to have the show cooking to be able to have even more choice, and food cooked in front of you. We checked out at 12, but did not have to leave hotel until about 1.30, so we were given a courtesy room free of charge to shower. We would love to go back, and would definetly recommend this hotel.

We stayed at this hotel for 5 days and had a wonderful stay. It has a beautiful pool area and a relaxed atmosphere, the food is fabulous and the cleanliness is great.

We did not particularly like the location of the hotel as it is in a very touristy area. However, the pool was totally surrounded by the hotel which meant that when at the pool, you didn't feel the same as when outside the hotel. The pool was one of the best which I have every experienced. We were traveling with an 11-year old and she loved it. It could also accommodate small children and adults as it was five pool areas within one large pool (very large!). The beach was just a short walk (three blocks) away and was lovely. The food was good and very varied, although we personally got tired of the meal setting (fortunately, there was an outside option which we enjoyed). The rooms were bery nice and very clean. I would recommend this hotel to people traveling with children.

This is a typical 4* Menorcan hotel - nothing too fancy, but if you're looking for cleanliness in a family reosrt, this is ideal. I can not comment on the food, as despite paying for Breakfast and Dinner, we ate out everyday, as buffet service does not appeal.
