The staff at the hotel is amazing, from the front desk to servers to maintenance! The rooms were okay. Nothing special and definitely needed updating. The food at the hotel was pretty good. The two pools were nice but one was too warm and uncomfortable to swim in. The other pool was better. The staff accommodated all requests we had and everything went great!

I booked a two-bedroom suit at Ixchel for myself and four boys, 17-20. I was blown away by how big and beautiful it was! It was an actual apartment with a huge open kitchen and living room, beautiful bedrooms and bathrooms and balcony. There was even a beautiful wood dining table on the balcony. My only regret is that we’re were only there for two nights so didnt really take advantage of the kitchen and dining area. The other great thing about this hotel is that it is only steps from the beach with pant of lounge chairs and umbrellas. When you go to beach the wonderful staff is there to open the umbrellas for you and provide menus to order drinks and food if you want. And the beach is incredible! The worst thing I can say is that my bed was hard and uncomfortable. But that was just my bed. The beds in the other room were better. Thank you Ixchel!

An average property. Room cleaners were good and cleaned thoroughly daily, but overall, nothing special. The pool is very small and extremely hot, definitely needs a chiller installed, was not able to enjoy or relax. The beach was clean and the water/seabed was free from stones and grass.

This property is beautiful!! It was clean inside and out. Staff was amazing. Pepe at the front desk always went above and beyond. I would recommend this place to everyone. We had an excellent vacation!

Location, location, location - right on Playa Norte which is the most famous beach in Isla Mujeres. Yes, it is a busy area, but if you want to be 'in the thick of things', this is a great place. Great staff. Very friendly. Only a hundred yards from Hidalgo (the 'main drag') of restaurants, etc. So much to see and do in such a small area. Rented a golf cart from the place on site and had a great time around the island one day. Went 'whale sharking' with Jasmin Tours (can't recommend them strong enough). Had a great time in Isla.

Fantastic location right on Playa Norte. Easy walk to lots of restaurants (100-200 yards). Of course it is in a busy area. Great place to spend a vacation in Isla.

This hotel is right on the beach, each room has a view to the water. The staff on site are very friendly and approachable. It is very close to restaurants and little shops. The rooms are spacious and clean. There is very well kept pool.

Best clear and white sand beach in the Isla :)

Everything about this place was amazing. The condo, 301, was immaculate with a breathtaking view. The customer service was quite possibly the best on the island. From Marta at the front desk, Chepo and Giovanny at the beach service, and Charly at the bar, just to name a few, the entire staff was incredibly warm and welcoming. The food was fantastic, the beach was gorgeous, and the property in general was just very well kept. We did not want to leave and will absolutely be back again very very soon.

The rooms were spacious, loved the water despenser in the room. The room where we stayed was an easy access to the pool and the beach. The staff super friendly and helpful. Definitely staying here next time we're in Isla mujeres.

Had a wonderful stay. This property was perfect for our family of 4. We were able to have 2 bedrooms each with a bathroom, a small kitchen, living space, balcony and a fabulous view and sunset each night. The onsite restaurant was casual and perfect for our needs providing breakfast through dinner with room service if requested. The location provided easy walking access to shopping and fabulous restaurants. The staff was helpful, attentive and conscientious. All of this on the most beautiful beach on the island! If we get to come back we will stay here again!

We had a great time, the weather was no so good but that is nobody's fault , their service is very good they really try their best to make you happy as a customer, they expect their tip obviously, the building is outdated and the rooms too but our room was comfortable and with everything we need it, i had an amazing ocean view.

Ixchel is the most convenient hotel on the island. Walking distance to everything. Love this place. Second time to Isla Mujeres and both times we stayed at Ixchel.

The resort was quite and clean

Property was conveniently located within walking distance of grocery store, restaurants, shopping and entertainment. The beach access was beyond perfect. The property was clean and the staff was amazing.

Access to all island activities is convenient.

We were in a two bedroom suite and loved all the space. We enjoyed being on the beach but also loved being able to walk out to numerous restaurants and shops. We rented a golf cart two days and got to experience more of the island visiting Punta Sur, Garrafon de Castillo and Kin Ha Beach Club. We loved the island and would definitely stay at Hotel Ixchel again.

Need to at least hqve one atm in the property
