It was good.

Our stay was ok. The included breakfast was nothing special and it would have been nice to have to go cups for coffee instead of tiny tea cups. Our room smelled like cigarettes even though it was a non smoking room. The paid breakfast was not worth the money . There was lits of noise late at night due to hockey parents. Our stay was fine at most.

Wouldn't stay here again. The staff was nice enough, but you can tell they're tired of dealing with the people that call this place "work" for the night. The local shelter definitely uses this place to store some interesting characters. Room was okay but needed a good deep cleaning. Didn't feel absolutely safe staying here and I'd never stay here again. Pay a smidge more for another end of town.

Although expensive, we found the bed in not so great…but when having our complimentary breakfast the two ladies working were trashing the third, and constantly complaining about her, then management…not the place or the time! Found it very distracting, and very unprofessional …

Overall had a great stay

Check in went smooth and rooms were clean and comfortable. Front desk was dealing with customer issues that should not have been happening in front of checking in guests. Location is good and would stay here again.

The hot breakfast was not worth the $8. The home style potatoes were dry and hard, and the eggs were terrible. Better off going to Tim Hortons next door for a farmer’s wrap. However the stay at the hotel was overall good.

Had running brown stain outside of the toilet, shower curtain was yellow & room smelt musty. Overall wasn’t worth the price I paid

Great room

Comfortable spot, but the water from the bathroom sink faucet was yellow. It was really gross. The hotel staff didn't warn me beforehand, but it's a very concerning public health problem. The food can be improved for breakfast, it's okay, but just carbs

Access was easy, parking was good, staff were friendly and welcoming, room was clean, bed was comfortable, and the sound insulation was excellent. Because the elevator was broken, the receptionist upgraded my room and put me on the first floor. The continental breakfast was okay, but a full menu was available.

When we arrived, Police and EMS were at the hotel dealing with an overdose. There was a person in the parking lot going from car to car checking doors to see if any were unlocked. The door to our room and others on our floor did not close behind you, you had to pull on them to make sure they were locked. We found this out after leaving the door unlocked for 4 hours unintentionally. The breakfast was gross. We would not go back.

Would’ve been nice if the elevator was working. After a long day of work last thing I want to do is climb stairs

I had very bad experience with this hotel… the room smells really bad … bedsheets have stains on that … floors were not cleaned properly…

Great stay very friendly staff.

The staff working the check in counter on the evening of Sept. 10 was beyond personable and pleasant to be greeted by. The room was great, clean and offered everything necessary for a very comfortable and impressionable stay.

Love this hotel, very clean and nice staff. The only thing we did not like was at 4:00 am there were people talking very loudly in the hallway, it woke us up.

We loved it! Though we have one small complaint. We could never get the TV to work, even trying two different remotes. Room 407.

No complaints. Staff were efficient and friendly. Easy access from the highway. Close to downtown restaurants and beach. Room was clean. Beds were comfortable. Breakfast was included and plenty of selection. Great budget hotel

Perfect

It is newly renovated well up to standards. The hotel was clean and inviting with an orange cucumber water at the entrance. Staff was welcoming and friendly. I like how this is not a very tall hotel where you have to wait for a long time for the elevator. And the stairs are quite convenient. My only drawbacks are, you need a car to get around. The Timmies is within walking distance but other places to eat or Centennial Park is far to walk. They have a great downtown area with lots of bars and restaurants. The other drawbacks are the elevator is kinda slow and although there is a pool, it was over heated felt like a sauna and it was small so it felt crammed when there are a few people in it. They had an average continental breakfast which most hotels offer. They also had a cheap feature of $8 to upgrade to a full on breakfast. Overall I really enjoyed my stay. The renovations are up to date making it a comfortable stay. Wish there was a game room with a pool table or arcade games or tennis table, just some kind of recreational activities as there’s not much around the hotel itself.

Nice stay. Clean and convenient location. Manager and staff decided to have a verbal disagreement in front of my wife at check in.

Very nice staff lady, ok breakfast

Upon arrival the bed sheet was stained, mattress protector was ripped and looked like an animal chewed it. Continental breakfast buffet advertised bacon, eggs etc, was disappointed to go into cereal, beagle, watered down apple and orange juices,gross coffee, hard boiled eggs that were sitting in a plate with water. Front desk reception at Check out was super pleasant …not! Booked this as a staycation for the night for my husband and I to get away for a night kids free and relax. Only thing that was kind of nice was the jetted tub. Bathroom was small. Only had one option for shower pressure. Not the best place for a relaxing night away and definitely not worth the $209… won’t be back.

Not great. The hotel is badly dated. The elevator is incredibly small. The poolwater is actually hot, to the point that it was I comfortable. We actually wondered how sanitary the water was at that temperature. The room was fine. The breakfast was horrible. The $8 we paid to upgrade would have been better spent elsewhere. Literally everything was burnt. Pancakes, eggs, sausages, hash browns. Awful.

It was our first time staying at this hotel and it was a bad first impression. As soon as we paid they told us the pool was closed and the wifi and cable were down and didn’t give us an explanation

Would have loved to give a better rating but almost every staff encounter was horrendous. While driving from the USA to the hotel I was called and asked for a $50 predeposit that was never mentioned prior. My card was in the trunk of the car and I was told I had one hour before our room was given up so we had to make an extra stop to retrieve it which extended our drive my almost 30 minutes. During our stay we had a single closed bag on ONE of the beds so the housekeeper didn't touch our room at all. After waiting 20 minutes in line at the front desk to ask for more towels the receptionists answered phone calls before addressing the line, then said we would have towels brought to us - which took an additional 30 minutes while we had a roomate "air dry" in the bathroom after a shower. Finally, after housekeeping tried cleaning our room at 10:30 am (front desk said it would be between 11-3) we were skipped completely and denied housekeeping services when we called and requested them. I've stayed at cheaper hotels and had better service, definitely expected more for a 4 night stay at a moderately priced hotel after spending $1000.

We stayed in one of the jacuzzi suites! And was very impressed overall! The only thing I would want are softer pillows. The beds are quite comfortable, just the pillows had no give to them.
