My recent stay at Encanto Hotel in acapulco following the aftermath of Otis left me with mixed feelings. The property has impressively restored the hotel, but certain aspects of my experience gave me pause.
The restoration efforts undertaken by the property post-Otis cannot be overlooked. The hotel has done a commendable job in bringing the property back to its former glory, which is truly praiseworthy.
However, I was disappointed by the prevalence of hidden fees, particularly the daily service charges that were not explicitly communicated upfront. I paid more in service charges and tips than the costo of food and beverage.
Additionally, the lack of complimentary in-room coffee in the mornings was somewhat surprising and felt like an inconvenience.
Moreover, the inconsistency in service was evident during my visit. On multiple occasions, I found myself having to actively seek out waitstaff at the pool area, which detracted from the overall relaxation and enjoyment of the facilities. Attention to detail seemed lacking in some areas, and I believe this is an aspect that could be improved upon.
While the hotel's restoration efforts are commendable, the issues of hidden fees, service inconsistencies, and attention to detail detracted from what could have been a more enjoyable stay. I hope that these areas can be addressed to enhance the overall guest experience in the future."

Staff is excellent! The location is great and the views are truly amazing! The breakfast food options are great but the dinner menu has room for improvement but the vibe is five stars. The villas are definitely worth the money and the pool area was spectacular. Overall Encanto is great property!

The view at this property is breath taking.
Nonetheless, this property is not very safe for young children. The lobby has many openings where a small child fits and it is on an upper level.

I was hesitant to go to Acapulco with recent crimes. However, to get to Encanto you must pass 3 guard gates. It is also about 30-40 minutes outside “old” Acapulco.
Encanto was clean, (for English travelers) everyone spoke English, simple elegance, service was amazing and private. The views are spectacular.
Another highlight was the private dinner my husband scheduled for our 30th anniversary. They gave us a private balcony, a custom menu with wine, a private server and candle and roses all around.
We really enjoyed having our own patio with an ocean view including a pool. And there is 24/7 room service.
There isn’t a concierge, but the front desk staff is helpful. They know the history of Acapulco, the old Hollywood romance and shows and local attractions.

El hotel es sensacional. La atención maravillosa y la comida deliciosa. Vista y diseño bello, aunque a veces poco funcional (esquinas de cama en que fácilmente te lastimas, llaves de lavamanos poco funcionales) .
La luz del baño sumamente baja para lograr maquillarse.

This is an amazing hotel and it's been many time I go there however this time there was no hot water in our room for 3 days and the only answer we got from the reception was.."we are sorry"... So huge disappointment for this trip.

The manager, Ilyana, would not honor the VIP upgrade. She claimed that there was some sort of error, yet hotels.com confirmed that there was no error. This was a blatant manipulation and everyone should be warned that this hotel clams to support the VIP program but when you check in they say that they do not.

Only two restaurants so not many choices. We started off bad with the receptionist! The roooms was nice and the pool was quite!

El encanto was really amazing. The views were spectacular. It felt like I was on a Greek island or in Italy. It was so peaceful.

Can’t day enough good things about this property. The architecture and grounds are beautiful. Thr staff is amazing. And the onsite restaurant was a nice surprise. But the Spa and staff were the stars of our stay.

Our stay was excellent, very clean and well maintained property. Staff was very friendly and most of the staff spoke English. We really really loved our suite with a private pool. Amazing property very small and private.

Really nice design and hotel ambiance. Pool is really nice and spa services excellent . The only concern is the room . I stayed in a room with its private pool and curtain isn't blackout and early morning the sun is directly on that side . A/C Works but don’t expect the roll to be cold , it will maintain the temperature around 72/73 F.

Everything was amazing until checkout. When we were checking out they were charging us $700 pesos for a mini Moët bottle that we didn’t take from the mini fridge. It was really uncomfortable being accused of stealing a bottle just because they had messed up their inventory

Modern hotel with beutiful view see and bay with friendly staff that is far from beach (10 miles), restaurant and any road. As of result you are stuck to use the hotel over rated restaurant with extremely high prices (10 us$ for 32oz bottel water) for over rated food. Review your charges daily or you never can fighter your bill as not only is not English but some charges are dubble and in our case in triple for same items. Do not use the Taxi service in hotel or you be charge two and half times of regular price ($470 v $200 Mexican).
I do not recommend this hotel.

This is beautifully designed and well-run hotel in a magnificent location overlooking Acapulco bay. We were upgraded to a larger room with a large terrace and it's own little pool. The staff were tremendous and service was highly professional, personal and considerate throughout.

We had a wonderful time at Encanto. First of all the architecture of the resort is just stunning and it has unbelievable views of the bay and ocean! Our room was quite comfortable and every need was attended to. The staff was attentive and very friendly. They even helped us as we tried to speak in Spanish! We thought the food was outstanding. The chef at Encanto is fabulous! There were so many wonderful options on the menu for us to choose from, unfortunately we didn't get to them all!
We had a wonderful relaxing time it truly is a place to get away from it all.

This hotel is ver nice to relax, hace a romantic weekend and enjoy yourself, it has stunning views of the Acapulco bay and the Pacific, great pool, nice restaurant, and awesome room. I definitely recommend it.
