It had great service and very comfortable beds and has wonderful swimming pools with great views of sunsets and beach is right there also.

Good hotel in a convenient place near to Cartagena. The full dining options works only at weekends (Friday and Saturday).

Although trip started off to a good start facility has no water or ice dispensers. However the room fridge did have water bottles readily available. On the last night a pipe burst which inconvenienced our stay after a long night of being outside we came back to no water. At checkout the lady insist we pay for the bottles water we used total of 4 . There’s was no disclosure that the water had to be paid for being there is none readily available

Pools closed too early to be able to spend time off resort and swim. Main cascading pool at least should stay open until 9 pm. The breakfast buffet every day was delicious with numerous options and lots of fresh fruit. Coffee service often as well. Never had to ask for a refill. Taxi service also quick and friendly!

Really nice hotel, have stayed here multiple times. However, this time around the wait was more than 40 minutes for an a la carte lunch service and there was a line in the lobby of more than a 30 minute wait for checking out.

Hotel Las Americas was just what we needed after 3 weeks of traveling around Colombia as a family of four. I picked this hotel because of the kids amenities, which my children loved! We were able to drop the kids off at kids club while we had dinner and the kids enjoyed the activities (mini golf, trampoline, movie, coloring, etc). The adult only roof top pool looked like an amazing place to hang out if traveling without kids. The ocean was warm with mild waves, was really fun until unfortunately my son got stung by a jellyfish while in a few feet deep water. The hotel is only 5 minutes from the airport so a great place to wind down before the long travel back home.

Good for families

I am a Gold Expedia Memeber and did not receive any of my complimentary benefits. Then no one speaking English so when I asked about the mini fridge with the snacks they just kept saying “Yes”. I get to the check out part of my trip and they put me on a long waiting line and there were 9 workers behind the desk but only 3 people helping behind the desk. I told them I had to board my flight in an hour and they ignored me. I tried to leave the key on the desk and the security guard blocks the door from me exiting; to put my things in my Uber so! Now I’m forced to pay for the extra time for my cab because they want me to wait for a worker to assist me—meanwhile I watched one of the workers who sent me to the long check outline, take someone who got off the line and went around to the end; and allowed him to skip the whole line. At this point I am frustrated because I’m being ignored and then a guest (a man) decided to tell me to wait and that no one has to speak English so I cursed him out and got my brother so he can talk to a man like that and he quickly closed his mouth out of fear! The workers didn’t intervene or tell this man to stop being rude to me so I called my brother back inside to check the man— and guess what???? Now they want to help me! No one is scared of Colombian Police or the fake security guards that make $2 dollars a day! All they do is call us Americans down there and it’s disrespectful but what I will say is: at least we come from a rich country

Such a wonderful property wow! The entire hotel is beautiful where do I start? The rooftop pool was so relaxing with delicious drinks and a remarkable view. The walk in shower/ tub was perfect for our romantic vacation. The private balcony was the perfect touch. They even brought me a little cake to celebrate my birthday. Would recommend for couples and families too!

Friendly staff and overall a nice hotel but to me it’s not a 5 stars hotel. A lot of noise from AC and planes flying overhead. The bath room needs to be remolded with new working fixtures.

Best hotel in cartagena

Great stay. We always chose this when we go to Cartagena. Family friendly, but also fun for adults. Excellent food and service.

We kept, clean, kind and attentive. Food was great, The stay was very affordable

Not only did I get money stolen from my room but my jacket got stoled as well. The manager stated they will open and investigation and nothing has happened. Super dissappointed. Also, nothing is included in your stay they charge you a bill at the end.

The hotel and the staff were great. I did not appreciate the fact that I had to pay an additional fee to use the hotel’s lounge chairs at the beach. The hotel is beach front and has an area reserved on the beach with lounge chairs, like I mentioned before, but you have to pay to use them, but the worse part is that the people serving are not hotel’s employees and they set their own prices on food and beverages. Ended up spending $200 on a 6-pack of Aguilas and fried fish.
