Pool water was dirty and very warm. Lots of debris floating in the water. Need to clean more often than scheduled.

Excellent service

For reference I went to Secrets with a friend for my 32nd birthday vacation. We stayed in a Preferred 2 queen bed oceanfront room. Pros: The resort itself is beautiful and though it is older, it’s very well maintained. The staff is very nice and accommodating. Our butler, Josè was extremely helpful and made our trip special. All of the staff members were excited to celebrate my birthday and went out of their way for us. The breakfast buffet was unexpectedly wonderful! Dinner at the Italian restaurant, Capers, was good! We had a great massage experience at the Spa. Cons: The vendors on the beach are unbearable. You cannot sit on the beach and enjoy the day without someone trying to sell you something every 30 seconds - no exaggeration. Many vendors would not take NO for an answer and kept coming back - not relaxing at all. The “house” liquor at the resort is whatever is below bottom shelf. A shot of “tequila” tasted like cold medicine - it was so gross! The Mexican restaurant on the resort was disappointing… considering we were in Mexico. The French restaurant was OK, though we felt finessed into buying a bottle of wine. The resort looked to up-charge us at what felt like every turn - bottles of wine, lobster, etc. all extra $$$. The ATM on the resort charged a total of $20 in fees, only spit out $50 bills, and the front desk rarely had change. The resort is definitely geared toward older (45 ) folks. Boring and everything shuts down at 8pm!

Every was great except there are no rooms with 2 beds in the preferred club tower, so I had to sleep in the roller bed even though we booked a room with 2 beds

It was very nice 4 weekend with the wife. The staff are always ready to help.

It’s a nice place to relax. One down fall is the people trying to sell you a membership or timeshare are very annoying. I got asked like 5 times a day.

The property and staff were incredible. I will stay here again if I go back to Puerto Vallarta.

Amazing staff and beautiful grounds! Top shelf booze!!! Did not like the beach want very walkable…. Lots of rocks . Resort should have different colored tiles on the steps of the pool… very hard to see until you smash your toes😳

We enjoyed our stay only rooms were comfortable but needs a bit upgrade the lighting in the sink need to be brighter couldn't put my make up well because of the reflection and also so the employees trying to convince you to buy a time share other than that it was amazingly beautiful

We are just leaving today from an incredible stay at this hotel. The staff is amazing, the hotel is clean and safe, the food is very good and it is a wonderful location for an incredible vacation.

The service was top notch from the drinks to the food! Best food I have ever had at an all inclusive resort, highly recommend and planning on returning!

This adults only is connected to dreams which is the kids resort…. Same property! Also know that this is a wedding venue resort, I think there were at least three weddings going on this weekend so if you want peace and quiet this is not the resort to stay at, for the price I would stay somewhere else this resort is mediocre at best,

Food and service is excellent. Great location to walk to downtown puerto Vallarta. Rooms are outdated. Night time entertainment is lacking.

This was our 4th stay at a Secrets resort in 6 years. Our first time at PVR. The property is nice but is showing its age. i.e. peeling paint on the shower ceiling, sinks don’t drain well, a/c system loud. We have also noticed that since Hyatt bought Secrets some amenities have been eliminated. Small stuff but noticeable at what is supposed to be a 5 star property. Staff was excellent. Very friendly and professional. Property had weddings or large group events some of the evenings with loud music playing well past midnight. While the resort was nice and we enjoyed our stay we will look to stay at a different chain next year.

This was our first trip to Puerto Vallarta and first trip to a Secrets resort, we will definitely be back to both.

Seems like there were a lot of things broken of not working Items at the spa in the hydro therapy room. Outdoor jacuzzi to our master suite (which we paid an extra $1400) for was smoking and smelled like it was going to catch on fire. Overall it was not a pleasant experience.
