We reserved a room in March of 2024 for September. One week before our arrival we got an email saying our reservation was cancelled. No explanation. We were told we could reserve a room at one of their sister hotels. After three separate calls through Expedia, who called the hotel we chose, we were told we would receive email confirmation of the new room. We never received email confirmation. We arrived at the hotel with our supposed new room only to find we didn’t have a reservation. Thankfully, their sister hotel had a room available and figured things out for us. They were extremely accommodating and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay there. It’s hard to rate Monte Rosa accurately as we our only interaction was a cancelled reservation. As it turns out, their entire hotel was closed, but again, we have not explanation as to why. We would definitely go back their five star palace sister hotel again though.

We actualy were move over to Mont Cervin Palace (Sister property). Wonderful experience. Staff exceptional in every way. Helpfull and friendly. Property: wonderful. Great breakfast and breakfast staff. Pool was very nice. We were primarily hiking in the area so it was nice to have a pool available at the end of a long day in the mountains. Location: centre of the town. Everything is walkable. Loads of pubs and restaurants within a couple of minutes. I recommend and would stay here again.

Important to note that there is no driving in Zermatt so parking is in the adjacent town where you take the train in. Small vehicles will take you from the station to the hotel and everything is highly walkable. The hotel is well centered in the city and the staff is amazing. It's the oldest hotel in the city and has a lot of neat history.

Great, charming hotel in walkable distance from the main attractions: Gornergrat train and Matterhorn Glacier Paradise cable car stations. Our room was large and very comfortable. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I highly recommend choosing Monta Rosa for a stay in Zermatt!

Best Stay Ever!!!!! Zermatt is full of hotel choices so you can’t go wrong:). The Hotel Monte Rosa is right in the middle of the valley, historic, beautiful and elegant. The breakfast is delicious, the bathrooms modern, bed super comfy and the staff is Brilliant. If you need a spa, the walk is quick and facilities are excellent.

Our experience at Monte Rosa has been exceptional.
The location is walkable from Zermatt station. But the staff were the highlight of this hotel. They were super nice and very helpful.and it’s not a single person but the entire staff from front desk to room service to restaurant staff.
Our room was very clean and spacious and I would definitely stay at Monte Rosa again and would strongly recommend anyone visiting to Zermatt.

Absolutely beautiful hotel in the heart of Zermatt. It took six minutes to walk to the hotel from the train station and the location is perfect. You are in the heart of the shopping/dining district in Zermatt. The staff went out of their way to provide excellent customer service and the room was very spacious with modern amenities. I would definitely stay here again.

The hotel is beautiful and located in the middle of the village. But what makes this hotel so amazing is the staff. People are super friendly and attentive. The front desk staff, Mariana, Iliana, and George were wonderful. They go above and beyond to take care of you. I would definitely stay here again.

Booked an edelweiss room, got ‘upgraded’ to a room with a view of the street and a lot of late night noise. The front desk clerk was extremely rude. The street noise is significant and not what I booked. Frankly, it was a really disappointing hotel.
