The quietest

The food was really nice and the general location was good by the beach. The 2 times we ate at the restaurant in the evening, it was around 50 mins from taking the order and it being served with no one else in the restaurant and the drinks arrived after the food even though ordered at the same time, so nearly an hour for the drinks. A lot of trip hazards especially round the pool where we saw someone fall down the front part of the pool where the infinity water goes as they didn’t see the gap and could have been very serious. The rooms in general were nice but the bathroom and the cupboards were quite dirty and could see water stains on the roof and many cracks in the ceiling, the people selling on the beach were persistent, wouldn’t leave you alone and on one day was basically stood next to the pool trying to sell stuff to people in the pool, and trying to pay for anything was very hard if you wanted to pay with cash as the staff didn’t seem to know what to do when you tried

This is not a big hotel but was cozy. Staff was very nice. The chef was excellent and did a great job with dinner and breakfast. Great views from the rooftop dining.

The place looked way better in the pictures. More run down than expected Room pretty small. No phone to call desk. Food was amazing. Staff very friendly and helpful. I will opt for another hotel next time closer to Alona. The view was amazing. We didn't visit the beach there because tide always out. Tricab driver is the night security guard. He is sooo amazing and nice. Thanks a lot to (driver) Kuya Ninio And restaurant service MA. Rita If it wasn't for the great food and people I would have moved hotels after the first day. I think it needs some Remodeling.

Our room's hot water did not work for the entire stay, 3 nights. We had to take a freezing cold shower, every time. We told the reception multiple times, and they did nothing on the first day. The second day, they had a repair person look at it, but that didn't fix it. They did not book us into a different room or reimburse anything. On the final day, they said they would give us a free ride from the hotel to the ferry station "to make up for our bad experience." But then they booked us a tricycle/tuc-tuc instead of an actual car. So that's like a $5 reimbursement. Also, their beach is dirty and you really cannot swim there.

The ocean is right in front of the house, but it is not a beach because it is all moss at the boat launch. There is a room next to the pool and people are talking loudly, so it is too noisy to relax.

Facility and grounds were clean, but there are repairs that are needed. Broken floor tiles around grounds and driveway. Bathroom fixtures need replaced, but were functional. The service is excellent. We used Nino as our trike driver for whole trip, and he was.excellent with fairprices. The food in hotel was very good, and they even brought it to my room. We chose this location away from Alona Beach, but it only takes 5 mintues by trike and 150 pesos. Hotel can book your county side tour, and excursions at good prices. Overall, I would stay again we come back.

No credit card service ,wanted cash only,should have posted u needed cash only ,will not use next time

The rooms are clean and they face the water, there is no beach, when we visited we weren’t able to pay with credit seemed to be down, so if you go there expect to pay with cash, the breakfast was good but not a buffet, you ordered breakfast, the site was clean and pool was nice I would rate 7 out of 10, because of the inconvenience

The deluxe room oceanview that we stayed in for five days was perfect. Having coffee while watching the sun rise in front of our bedroom and dinner while the sun was setting at the rooftop was such a superb moment for us. The whole staff was very courteous and accommodating. Prompt actions to all the requests from the Staff was always completed. If we decided to come back to this island, Bohol South Beach Hotel will be in our top list to stay.

It's a very nice place, clean and quiet. The breakfast is very good and service is great. The staff are helpful and kind. The service van that takes us guests to Alona Beach area is on time. I would definitely stay in this same hotel again.

The staff were friendly. Although it’s at the beach in the map but actually it’s a bit far from the Alona Beach. But the hotel provided shuttle. Overall it’s really worthy.

A great place to stay.... another Panglao Gem! A home away from home... breakfast with a view! Fantastic.

The place was very nice.. far back from the main road and pretty private.. Enjoyed the pool and beach water, But wish that they could do alittle more... from high tide to low tide, beach is covered in garbage... wouldnt take much to rake it out once a day. Also, as a contractor i tend to notice more things that need fixed than others. But paying what you pay, maybe a room check every week would be good, fix broken faucets, or broken toilet seats. If we want to keep forgienors coming in, we have to up our standard. Also, the mixed cocktails were not very pleasant at all. We did enjoy the place, and will most likely return and also promote to others, these are just encouragments to maybe have checked out and fixed. Breakfast was great! Brewed coffee! Over all very pleasant!

Hotel had a nice modern feel and I was impressed at first but I cannot recommend it simply because the rooms are just too small. You could barely walk round the bed and you had nowhere to put your bags so you ended up tripping over them all the time. Backpackers stay in hostels with more space than this hotel room. The room really ruined the stay as you just couldn’t relax there after a days sightseeing. The staff didn’t replace the shampoo once in four days or even remove the rubbish from the shower room once either. The shower leaked and flooded the room after every use and the sink was not screwed in and was liable to fall at any minute and given the tiny space it was easy to bump into. The hotel is located on a private beach which has a great view but it’s not somewhere you can actually go and swim due to the low tides and number of small boats moored there. The ‘beach’ itself is basically non existent. The hotel has a picture postcard feel but the reality is much different. Book with care

Great view on the sea, but the beach was full of garbage. Impossible to swim there. Nice seimming pool but they clra it whenever we want to have a swim in the day. And noisy work going on all day long in the garden and at the front of the hotel. Nice staff, but we had no shower and no hot water for 3 nights out of 4. Shuttle to take us to Alona beach. Too expensive for the service provided.

Lots of trash, seaweed and debris. quite rocky as well. I guess its more for the diving and snorkeling crowd. Good thing they have regular shuttles to Alona beach.The wifi was okay. they even have a chromebook for you, binoculars, usb chargers. creature comforts we liked :)

We booked the first floor ocean view 2 months in advance and got there and was put in the wrong room. They did give a free scooter rental but we still overpaid too much for this. If you can put up with roosters screaming at 4:30 in the morning its a ok place to stay.

The plus this place has is the wonderful young ladies who wait the tables, the front desk, and do the clean up. I hope they’re being compensated properly; I tipped well four of them.

We checked in, safe not working, no hot shower, no phone in the room so we had to go up and down to the reception. They said somebody’s coming to check, nobody came. Next day we complained again, they said maintenance is not yet in (at 8am) to fix the safe and the shower. When we demanded to be transferred to a different room, the safe key magically appeared. When we got back that same day, still no hot shower. They said we can transfer to a different room with working hot shower BUT we have to move back the next day cuz its gonna mess up their booking (as if they havent inconvinienced us enough). We moved, hot shower worked for a minute and poured cold water after. We asked to talk to a manager multiple times, they said they will come when he/she’s ready to talk, never saw him/her. 3/5 days of our stay was no hot shower and all we got was an $11 free shuttle to the airport. Putting this all the aside, the hotel is clean, thats pretty much it. No phone in the room, the “restaurant” at the 3rd floor was always empty, nobody to even take your order, no elevator, the pool is old with tiles or cement chipping off, the beach is not all that and this hotel is not walkable from alona beach. We do not recommend this place.

Quite and peaceful .service is good and even transport to airport no problem

Staff is very nice, polite and ready to help you anytime. Anyway I think the hotel is a bit overpriced and the location is not good. There's no guard in the hotel and anyone can come to the room floors. Room was nice but there were lots of little ants. In the rooftop was also cockroaches. Breakfast was very nice and hotel has good food.

Overall very happy with the stay. Only small downside comes from the location, it's a bit far to walk from everything but luckily there is free shuttle service to/from Alona beach. Nice big room right next to the pool, service exceptionally good and flexible. Staff extremely helpful. Will definitely come back if in the area.

Had a great stay here! Pros: -amazing accommodating staff -quiet private beachfront -beautiful pool -rooftop breakfasts Cons: -it's not on Alona Beach but it's only 5-10 min away. You can rent a scooter from the hotel which is a really fun way to get around or use their free daily transfers to the beach.
