This was our first Bed and Breakfast stay and it did not disappoint. In fact, it may have spoiled us for future B&Bs. The house is in the middle of the neighborhood. The neighbors were friendly and we felt comfortable there. The proprietors, George and Dave, made us feel like we were family. The accommodations were clean, comfortable and just what we needed for our first visit to DC. The breakfasts were delicious!! The bed was so comfortable that we didn't want to get up and leave each day!! George was a wonderful resource on how to navigate the City. This place is a gem and we can't wait to get back there!!

If you are ever in the DC area I highly recommend staying at Malolo Bed and Breakfast! Chef Jorge and David were ao welcoming and friendly. They gave us tons of idea of things to do in the area (which we will definitely be back to do). The breakfast Jorge cooked for us each morning was plentiful and delicious! We had fun conversations and a lot of laughs with them. The room was colorful and decorated so nicely- felt like we were somewhere other than DC. The bed was so comfy too! We will be back for sure!

We had never stay at a Bed and Breakfast in the US before Malolo and what a wonderful surprise! George and David provided exceptional hospitality from when we arrived until the very end of our stay. Our room was beautifully decorated and cleaned spotless everyday. Breakfast in the morning was delicious and included a nice variety of dishes. David and George created a familial atmosphere filled with lively and fun conversation as well as insider’s knowledge about the city and helpful tips on how to navigate it. We associate a lot of our wonderful memories of DC with our stay at Malolo and we look forward to go back for our next trip!! Nigel and Chiara

It was excellent, first time staying at an B&B and it’s going to be hard to compare future stays to this once, they set a high standard. Breakfast was delicious every morning, my complements to Chef George.👍 Very knowledgeable about the area (Washington DC) and could even tell you what buses to catch. Great host with George and David!! If you ever go to Washington DC, I would recommend Malolo B&B over any hotel in the area.

We had a great time visiting D.C. for the weekend. Staying at Malolo was a big part of that. We were treated like family the whole time. The hosts were super friendly and went over and above to make sure we had everything we needed. We will definitely be staying here again if we take another trip to D.C. We will also be recommending them to our friends.

We just loved our stay with Jorge and David. The room was lovely, close to the metro since I didn't want to rent a car. Jorge is an amazing cook. Both are wonderful hosts and make you feel like family!! I couldn't ask for a nicer stay at a 5 star hotel, which I have done many times, but will come back to Malolo Bed and Breakfast when I'm in the DC area again. Thank you Jorge and David for everything !!!

The owners were very personable and professional. They gave us awesome advice re: sightseeing and transportation options for Washington DC. The breakfast each day was awesome. My wife and I were VERY pleased with the comfort and decor of our room.

Jorge and David are very hospitable. Jorge is a great chief and breakfast is great. They were so friendly and wanted to help and make our trip better in any way they could.

We were so happy with Jorge and David at this beautiful, spacious, well-appointed and comfortable B & B. As other reviewers have mentioned, Jorge is an amazing cook, and you feel like old friends with both hosts immediately. Their home is immaculate updated and warm. We felt completely comfortable and safe in the neighborhood. It is an urban setting, not in the heart of town, but very easy to get around and David and Jorge will even drive you to the metro. We had a wonderful time and will definitely return!

This was a wonderful Bed & Breakfast stay. The interior of the house and rooms have a Polynesian theme. The room we stayed in was huge and had plenty of closet space, internet TV and Alexia. The bathroom was very modern and had a large shower. The breakfast every morning was awesome! Chef George even makes eggs to order and can cater to individual dietary needs. They provided Metro cards and explained how to use the Metro system and provided transportation to and from the nearest Metro station. They also provided a promotional discount code to use with Uber. The host were very knowledgeable for information on sightseeing and dining options in DC. We enjoyed their company more then visiting the sights in the city. Overall and excellent stay and nothing negative to comment about Malolo Bed & Breakfast. We will definitely stay with them again in the future!

What a wonderful place to spend a few days in on your trip to Washington. Rooms are spacious and the hosts are just super nice people. At breakfast there is a great choice both hot and cold. Would highly recommend this to anyone.

When driving through the neighborhood to the B&B we were a bit nervous, but our fears were put to rest after meeting the hosts and talking to one of the guests. We're glad we stayed! The hosts were awesome, the home and our room were superb and the breakfast spread was outstanding. The host even takes you back and forth to the Metro station (about 3 minutes away), which we highly recommend using when going into DC. Would definitely stay again if we are in the area.

We loved our stay in this fabulous bed and breakfast. George and Dave were so welcoming and friendly. The food was top notch but the conversation and open hospitality is what put this place over the top. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing stay in D.C.

Wonderful and helpful hosts. Attractive home, well decorated,clean, very comfortable. First rste property in an urban setting. Get beyond neighborhood,, safe and well located to Metro. Food was ehcellent. And hosts real gentlemen. Would return in a minute.

we enjoyed the hosts and food. chef George is very good. it was a little out of the way if you're driving around dc. has good access to metro and the boys will take you to the metro stop and pick you up, which I recommend you do.

As someone who does not travel to the D.C. area often - not going to lie, was VERY concerned when driving through the surrounding area to this place. But... this place is AWESOME. The owners were bend-over-backwards accommodating. It is definitely a diamond in the rough. They even drove us to and from the metro stop (5 min. drive) as needed. The breakfast was phenomenal. Were it not for the fact that there is quite literally next to nothing close by to walk to (restaurants/bars/attractions) I would give it 5 stars plus. But it was truly just a very minor inconvenience to jump on the metro and ride into D.C.
