Overall stay was nice. Requested downstairs room when made reservation but was not able to get one. No elevator option. Stairs and balcony in need of repair and paint. Had difficulty getting adequate towels for a four night stay.

The people running this establishment are the most accommodating people I’ve encountered in my two week trip from Saskatoon to Niagara Falls to Sturgis to home. Lots of places we’ve stayed at were not so. They went out of their way to make sure we got the room that met our needs.

Very good experience. The stuff are quite warm-hearted and helpful. The breakfast is good.

This place had the worst mattress, the shower was so small you kept shutting it off with your arm. The floor itself was sloped so yiu felt like you were on a hill. And the road noise was terrible

Staff were very nice. Quiet, huge 2 queen beds room. Bathroom was big and clean.

Great staff! Helpful and accessible. Walked to downtown Keystone for shopping / dining (just a couple blocks). Older hotel but nice.

Mattress was uncomfortable the shower way too small. The landscape wasn't maintained could not even walk down to the brook that was flowing behind the motel.

Quiet and big room , run down buildings and poor house keeping, ac was filthy on the inside and that made the room dusty. The shower head was clogged up.

The property is old. However the rooms were clean and spacious. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Even when my grandson locked his key in his room 4 times☹️ The breakfast was an average breakfast. I enjoyed it but I head others complain. They had butter but no jelly for toast. It was a quiet stay which was nice. I would stay again.

The pictures do not match what the property currently looks like at all. It has been repainted and while that is a good thing, the cute curb appeal with flowers and picnic area off the creek it sits in fromt of is non existent. There is an only hot water heater behind the cabins, and the picnic table is dilapidated and falling apart. The cabins were borderline clean, but the bathroom left a lot to be desired. The shower curtain was disgusting, needed to be bleached something fierce. It had o lo the pink algae type mold stained about 2 feet up from the bottom. There was a plug in literally 8 inches from the tub and the toilet was leaking around the base and unstable. We kept the rooms because we were not there much. The front desk girl was extremely nice and helpful. Wish the facilities had been as described online.

For a hotel open only in the summer it was great!! It was a last minute booking on 4th of july. Our room was clean, quiet and the staff was very nice. Walking distance to main with all the stores and activities. I will definitely stay here again.

Needs updates in tub fixtures. Furniture old.At first was ok with room tolerable for price. Then pulled back sheets on one of beds and found tiny little bugs on , looked dirty no way was sleepy in. Staff came over and brought bunched up sheets over to change sheets. Didn’t seem that concerned , we told them no were leaving and wanted money back. Offered another room but did not want to take chancre. Had prepaid for room and they I had to go thru Expedia to get money back, they couldn’t give me my money back. So trying to connect with Expedia to get money back. Left and found much better place to stay the night . Would not recommend

My wife and I had a wonderful stay, clean and quiet, within minutes of Mount Rushmore, and away from thebustle and noise

Was not clean; mold & mildew in bathroom; shower curtain gas mildew from bottom to about a foot high.

Front desk was very polite, room had old carpet that had tears and burns; shower curtain was not an actual shower curtain, so bathroom got soaked during a basic quick shower. It was very loud, you could hear everyone coming and going.

Staff was nice, but the facility was less than stellar for sure. The tv was super small and we only received three channels. The breakfast was premade omelettes, some sort of pastries, cold cereal and orange and apple juice. During the entire week we stayed, there was no cleaning service. If you are looking for luxury, this isn’t your place. If you’re looking for a place to lay your head, it is ok.

The staff/owners were very nice and wanted to make our stay comforatable an enjoyable. The room was a bit tiny but very clean. Maintenance or updates are needed. The mattress was old and very uncomfortable. Campfire was nice and the breakfast was better than expected! Over all an affordable option would be a great place with some updates.

Deluxe room with a queen bed was actually a full bed and nothing deluxe about the room. Pictures are old and not what the property looks like at all. Check your mattress!

OK motel at the edge of town, has seen better days. A/C smelled of mildew, so we opened the window to get fresh air during the night. Very basic breakfast.

This was our first time staying at Brookside. For us it was a convenience thing when choosing. This is under new ownership and they are renovating. They have done a good job, but are working with an older building. It was very clean, the bed was superb. we did have to be creative with being able to charge our electronics. Some we needed for some work. The breakfast was satisfactory, but I would suggest a prepackaged fruit and some yogurt would be a great addition. we will stay again when in the area.

The room has everything such as microwave, fridge, table and chairs. A great breakfast. It was ran down but for the price what should a person except? The staff was very friendly and helpful.

Decent place to spend few nights . Room was ok . Shower area was very very small . Other than that nice place to stay
