Great Place To Stay

There is NO Hair Conditioner in the Bathroom. Despite of it went well, i am coming back .

My husbands car got messed up from the hotel and the manger took almost a month to call us back the parking lot like most have cement blocks in the stalls and one of them had a huge nail sticking out that got stuck in my husbands bumper of his car and ripped it off

Rude service when checking in. Lobby for the tower elevator had a weed smell the entire weekend. Room was gross, I mean trow up from previous people in corner. Horrible service at restaurant/bar, sticky table, was told she didn't have time to make me a drink on the bar menu, to come back later and something floating on my beer. To top it off, fire alarm went off at 1am and was told it was nothing.

Bad neighborhood. Homeless people are all over the place. I was awakened at 5 am by a guy loudly speaking on his phone right outside the room. (As you likely have already inferred, the rooms are entered from the outdoors). Not a Raddison-caliber property. The staff was top notch, though.

Old hotel. Dark. Scarey. I was concerned about my safety just walking to my room.

Motorcycles parked outside of rooms! Engines idling forever. Area is notorious for 'undesirable' activity, near a large sporting arena. Good security parking check tho. No free breakfast.

While Oakland is often associated with safety concerns, I was impressed by the hotel's strong security measures and gated areas, which made parking our car worry-free. However, the room left something to be desired, particularly the walls, which could have been in better condition. The building appears tall but is only two stories with exterior hallways. The receptionist highlighted our room's location by the pool as a perk, but it turned out to be a downside. The noise level was extremely high, and there was little sound insulation, making it difficult to relax. While I understand that guests should enjoy the pool, better soundproofing or a different room location would have been appreciated. On the bright side, the airport shuttle service was convenient, and the staff was very friendly.

Bar closed at 9pm on a Friday. We came back after being at a ball game and wanted to have a night cap. The bar was closed. I understand it’s not that busy there, but 9? On a weekend? More importantly, the area around the hotel was filled with trash and the homeless. My prayers go out to them, but we didn’t feel safe walking around and there is nothing worth walking to around the hotel. I recommend checking it out on Google Earth before going there.

Stay in the tower!!! We were initially given a room to the right of the property that felt sketchy, the curtains did not close well and there were people hanging out in their cars right outside of the door. I asked for another room. The second room was no better, just a few doors down nearly to the back of the property, the sign with room number was broken therefore not easy to find and it wreaked of old cigarettes. I went back to the front desk for a 3rd time and asked for an upgrade. FINALLY we got a room on the 5th floor of the tower where there were more security features and felt safer!

Room was filthy, door was open when we arrived, restaurant on property had horrible service. People screaming and yelling all night long.
