Almost everything was great, but it would have been better if there were someplace to hang towels or toiletry bags in the bathroom. There were no towel bars or hooks, and there was plenty of space for them to be added.

Fantastic boutique hotel! My husband and I were on a road trip and decided to tour Muscle Shoals Fame recording studio. Found this gem for a quick overnight. The only regret is that we didn't have time to enjoy all of the amenities - spa, bar, etc. Hoping to get back there someday.

I absolutely love the speakeasy and art deco vibe of this hotel! The suites I stayed in were lovely. My favorite was Billy Reid…And the service was great especially exceptional from Marissa, the bartender. The hotel better have her replacement step up their game because Marissa’s absence was definitely felt on my last evening there. The service wasn’t as soulful and warm.

We had a hard time finding where to go to get into the building to check in, couldn't locate ice, but other than that is was great. Unique rooms, and great overall experience. Hope to visit again and stay in the Muscle Shoals room next time and for an extra day.

We selected this hotel for a baseball tournament. The music in the lobby did not end until 10 pm. We had to be at the baseball field at 745. The rooms were dusty, and bugs were flying around; the hotel does not own the coffee shop, and it didn’t open until 8 am, and on Sundays, it’s closed that was so disappointing and inconvenient the amount of money we paid that weekend for this hotel was ridiculous

Truely a unique boutique hotel experience. The room was clean, comfortable and well decorated. The location itself is welcoming and quite which allows for a relaxing stay.

This hotel is so unique. In fact, it didn’t feel like a hotel at all. If you are expecting a full staff hotel, this isn’t your place. The bartenders are basically the only staff that we saw, but they were super helpful with all of our needs. It has really cool decor, our room was clean and comfy, and it is a short walk to restaurants. The only negative that I have is the walls seem to be a little thin, and the room/bathroom have open ceilings so not as much privacy as some would like. Especially if you’re staying with friends, or you prefer bathroom privacy. Overall, we loved it, and will be staying at Gun Runner again!

Wonderful unique hotel in Florence. We golfed across the River then drove into Florence to stay the night and have dinner. Loved the ambiance of the hotel. Our room was huge, with a nice balcony. On site parking was a bonus. We walked to dinner at Odette and it was surprisingly delicious.

I saw the photos of the GunRunner and knew I wanted to stay here! It did not disappoint. The building is decorated beautifully, and the room was extremely comfortable. I stayed in the room themed after architect Frank Lloyd Wright. The mattress was a dream, and the extra amenities (coffee maker, robes, toiletries, guidebook, etc) made they stay even better. I highly recommend utilizing the breakfast delivery from Turbo Coffee as well! I set up my order each night before bed and it was delivered to my door each morning by 7:15. The atmosphere in the bar/lounge area was great too. Things to note: This is an older building, so the walls are rather thin. You may hear the TV from your neighbor or conversations from the lounge area. The bar closes at 9:00 or 9:30 so it shouldn't be an issue, however there was one night where a few people hung out in the main area until 2:00 AM and I had to ask them to please keep it down. This isn't something that can really be avoided due to the age of the building. Overall I really enjoyed my stay and will absolutely be returning in the future!

I stay at Gunrunner every time I'm in Florence or Muscle Shoals - usually for work. It's like coming to my second home. The check-in is easy and the people are welcoming, the room and bed are super comfortable, and it's much more of an experience than staying at a dreary, common hotel room.

This was our first time visiting the Gunrunner and it did NOT disappoint! It was the coolest hotel I’ve ever stayed in and the room was so neat! We loved the huge lounge area and bar right outside our room! The drinks were delicious and we loved being able to walk downstairs for coffee and breakfast! We will definitely be back soon!!
