The management needs to review their reservation process for the rooms and the restaurants. We reserved restaurant for dinner but later we are told, the guests before us decided to stay longer and we are told come back for another night

Nice hotel with character. Beautiful views from our room. Great breakfast (choice of numerous fish, cheese, meats including some unusual stuff like cured lamb). Very close to the train station, all the activities, and ferry.

Breakfast is gorgeous. Booked dinner and surprised it was a buffet. Room is in back corner dark hallway next to the service room but still charging for over $400. Nothing fancy in the room.

Our train got cancelled and the property refused to refund or modify our booking.

Bed bugs. No toiletries. No AC. Expensive parking that NA based phones cannot charge their rental cars with which the front desk does not tell you. The rooms have no phones, working tvs, refs, body soap or conditioner. The staff is not friendly at all and bordering on rude. Not good, far too expensive. Stay anywhere but here!!! Do not waste your money like I did!!

I had live bugs in my bed, we heard every move the people above us made, you had to pay for parking, the front desk staff wasn’t so friendly, there is no AC. It is far too expensive for what you get.

The breakfast was served with many varieties and delicious. The location was so close to the train station, we also had the best buffet dinner in the hotel.

Loved the ambiance of the lobby and common areas. The staff were very pleasant and helpful.

This hotel was unbelievably convenient if you are doing the Norway in a Nutshell. It is steps from the Flam railway and also steps from the boat for the Fjord tour from Flam to Gudvangen. There are also souvenir and clothing shops right there and the Flam visitor center. If you are not driving there are not many options so its also VERY expensive. But for us it was worth the convenience. We ate dinner at the hotel next door - which was very good - so i cannot comment on dinner but the breakfast was good and in a very nice room overlooking the fjord. The room was old fashioned but had lots of character and was very spacious and comfortable with a great bed and bedding. The bathroom was large with a great shower/bathtub and lots of counterspace. We also had a balcony which was cute with a nice view but not very private as there were people on the terrace just below us. Try and get a view facing the fjord from the back of the hotel.

TV’s don’t work, rooms are very very shabby for the price

Its very expensive hotel for cheap and ugly outdated rooms. No tissue paper in bathroom (essential toiletries were not in bathroom) no iron for clothes no security box. For $400 a night room terribly expensive. Would NOT recommend it at all. Staff unfriendly

Very unimpressed with the quality and comfort of the interior in the room itself. Rundown bathroom with silverfish on the floor. The walls were very thin and we could hear everyone around us throughout the night. Given that we paid for a superior twin room we felt that the value for money wasn’t worth the cost. This is due to the small outside space we were given that wasn’t at all private. Clearly money has been spent on the communal areas of the hotel which were very nice. However, extremely disappointed with the room itself. We won’t be staying again!

Overprized, hotel, food and d’rinks. Friendly service but the state of the facilities unimpressive. Very basic rooms, we heard guests in neighboring rooms walking across the floor, banging doors etc. I stayed in this hotel 20 years ago and left impressed.

We stayed overnight at this hotel. The staff was friendly, and the location was very convenient for access to the ferry and train. The surrounding area was wonderful. The breakfast layout was excellent. However, this hotel definitely needs refurbishment. The carpets and floors were very dirty. We paid £350 per night, which I felt was overpriced for the quality of the hotel.

Location is excellent, right next to the flamsbana train. Very cool hotel however overpriced!!!! Coffee is provided free in the lobby but tea is chargeable which i cannot understand. Views are stunning, hotel is clean and loved the garden area, sat in the sunshine.

Very expensive hotel for no real reason. The hotel is seriously due for some major renovation. The staff is not friendly either, no warm welcome to the families with children. Their focus is to somehow keep creeping off people’s money. Not recommended.

Great place to stay for one night in Flam. The new conference center is amazing and the rooms, while small, are quiet and comfortable. Buffet dinner and breakfast were amazing.

The hotel was fantastic. We did have an issue with noisy neighbors that the hotel failed to resolve.

It's quite and walkable!

The property itself was lovely. We were disappointed to see a luxury cruise ship obstructing our view of the fjord from the hotel when we arrived.
