Not really a hotel as we know. It was a pub with rooms. Where the star rating comes from is worth investigating. Shower was at least good. Breakfast is a strict 7-9am. Served in the pub area I was too late at 8.45am as the breakfast is cooked fresh. As the menu is continental with a choice of: beans on toast, scrambeled egg on toast, bacon sandwich ... The cooking methods? The next morning I went at 7.30, to be greeted by mind the vaccum clean lead and squirts of spray cleaner for another to polish tables. Until we know this is a pub, with rooms, when the whole thing makes sense. It is not a hotel. Cute dogs though. Didn't bother with a photo, it's a pub.

I had a wonderful stay, hotel is lovely and welcoming. At check in I was upgraded to a larger room which was very clean and spacious. Grateful for the upgrade! The evening meal and breakfast was delicious.

I don’t leave many reviews but my stay at the Mews Hotel stood out so I felt compelled. As ever it is people that often make the difference and the team at the Mews were amazing. So friendly and genuinely care about customer’s experience and feel a part of their business success. Hospitality isn’t easy but this team stood out, thank you George, Ali, Abi, Will. For example the room included continental breakfast but they asked me if I would like sausage, bacon and eggs which I fuel accepted. All local and perfect after a party the night before!

Very busy pub on a Friday evening. Staff were helpful and ensured we had a table for dinner - some people were turned away. Quiet location, comfortable and nicely decorated rooms.

Fabulous. Room was comfortable and clean. Good downstairs in the pub was excellent and very reasonable.

Had to settle for a single room as the hotel was busy. It’s an experience sleeping in a single bed. Room very small. Food is amazing in the restaurant.

This is the second time I have stayed at The Mews. Travelling as a single female I found The Mews to be a very good hotel for single travellers and I felt happy to eat in the hotel on my own. Staff were attentive and the food was very good. I can highly recommend the hotel and its food and location.

What an amazing, quirky hotel. Stayed for two nights to go to a nearby wedding. Had dinner in the bar the first night and the food was incredible. Great wine list too. Bedroom was really spacious and it was a powerful shower. Breakfast options are limited but great value as it’s included in the price. Would definitely stay again.

The reason we chose this hotel was a reputation for excellent restaurant meals. However, on the very first night of our stay I was served rotten sea bass in the restaurant and I felt unwell for the rest of our stay. Obviously, I did not eat at the restaurant after that. We were also not warned at the check-in that breakfast ends at 9am and I missed breakfast after a sleepless night being upset of my food poisoning and that the Chef had thought it was proper to serve customers like me rotten fish and get away with it. Our twin room windows faced the flat roof which was easily accessible by an outside staircase, and we felt it was unsafe to have the windows open during the night. With windows closed it was stuffy and hot. The sleeping area was small and cramped for 2 people. Overall, unpleasant experience. The only positive was helpfulness of the housekeeping lady who allowed to dry our wet shoes in their storage cupboard. I am very grateful to her.

3rd or 4th stay at the Mews, always a friendly atmosphere! Great food, comfortable room, and good location, will stay again on my next visit to West Yorks.

Lovely staff, great food, ample parking and good selection of beers and wines. Relaxed service but quick. Perfect free breakfast which was sarnies or toast with beans, cheese or egg on. Very happy with price too.

Fab stay, comfy beds and fab staff. The only complaint was the noise from downstairs in the early hours of saturday. Would defiiitely stay again but may ask for room away from the bar.

It is a nice little pub/hotel to stay over night for work. I arrived quite late so didn't have a chance to try the food. Pub looks lovely though. Breakfast is great.

The Mews was clean and tidy inside and out. Unfortunately Ossett is yet another run down town. Sad but it seems to be the way our country is going, all councils should do better.

It was a very relaxing stay and the staff were welcoming and friendly. The breakfast could have had more of a traditional english breakfast option. However everything else was spot on. Thank you!

Everyone from the owner on down were extremely friendly and helpful. The food was really good.

Great food, nice beer, comfortable rooms at a great price

The room was spacious and clean but as we were over the bar and loud music played into the small hours, we came home very tired and miserable. We did complain but were told we were lucky it wasn’t the weekend as the noise is terrible then. Breakfast is limited to 5 choices, the kitchen are unable to fry eggs !

Stayed for two nights at The Mews, visiting family that live close by. Excellent location and good amount of car parking space. Room was clean and a good size. Beds were comfortable. Staff friendly and helpful. Room was above the bar/restaurant so some noise could be heard but this was expected and was quiet by later in evening so not a problem. Thank you for an enjoyable stay.
