Very good short-stay. Very kind Staff!

Best hotel that we stayed in Switzerland. The room was very spacious 3 person’s and clean.Hotel staffs are very good and Restaurant Food was tastier and compare to other restaurants cheaper,Country Breakfast is available .

Excellent restaurant and friendly staff. Comy rooms with excellent value for money.

Close to road (relatively loud in case you wold like to have open window). Few things in bathroom could be fixed.

With our plans changing at the last minute due to rain, we booked our room shortly before we arrived. The room was very clean and accommodating, and we were delighted by both the dinner and breakfast served just down the hall. The staff was very friendly and welcoming, even with our limited German.

I stayed at  Hotel Schützenhaus in July 2021 on my holiday outward journey. The hotel was very clean. The food in the restaurant was fine. The guy who was apparently the owner was very friendly and welcoming. I was very satisfied but... BUT BUT BUT I tried to stay again one week later on my return journey from holiday. Late in the evening (20:30) I looked on booking.com to see if there was  a vacancy.  There was. I decided to simply  turn up at the hotel and enquire for a vacancy - probably helping the hotel to avoid booking.com’s fees. The lady (who appeared to be the wife of the owner) said they had no vacancies except for a deluxe room. Instead of paying CHF 100.- including breakfast (as advertised for a single room on booking.com) she wanted me to pay CHF 115.- without breakfast. I was surprised as this conflicted with what I had seen on  booking.com.  I declined and went back outside. I consulted booking.com again and booking.com still said there was the cheaper vacancy, so I went back indoors and showed her the possibility for me to book on booking.com. She dismissed that as “Oh, that won’t work.” and repeated her earlier offer. I decided that I was being taken for a ride, so I again declined her offer. I went and stayed in another hotel not very far away for only CHF 75.- including breakfast.

There didn’t seem to be much emphasis on social distancing measures, neither in the hotel nor in the restaurant. The feeling of being taken advantage of, just because it was very late in the evening (and raining) when I turned up again a week later. I did not stay that second time.

Great kitchen and very friendly owner and staff.

The staff were very comforting and the room and the restaurant were very clean and enjoyable.

not so critical issue, just the room where I was has no air conditioning, during the night it was a bit too hot but the window was just above the street and so a bit noisy to leave it open.
