Location!

The location is good, close to the old town, easy walking around the city. The staff was very nice and helpful. If you come by a car, it is not too difficult to park your car outside the city wall, then walk about 8-10 minutes to the hostal.

The bed wasn't very comfortable.

Excellent location just inside the city walls and only 2 minutes from the Plaza Mayor for its cafes, bars and restaurants. Room tight but OK for a few nights stay - third bed was useful for storage of bags. Fantastic hot shower.

The parking problem has been mentioned but we were lucky and managed to find places a couple of minutes walk away on the three occasions we needed to.

Walls so thin you could hear everything from the next room. Perhaps so signs to ask customer to keep quiet would help. An extra blanket would be useful.

Noise insulation between rooms was non-existent. Nowhere to securely leave key when checking out before reception desk open.

The breakfast was adequate but it was a lovely surprise to have freshly squeezed orange juice,

The bedroom walls are thin so you hear noise from others leaving their rooms. Also on the day we stayed, we belive there was an early morning rubbish collection or it could have been a builder's dumper truck which woke us up!

Hosts are very sweet and helpful. Room was clean and comfortable. Location is quite convenient, a few yards away from the main plaza. You can have breakfast for a very cheap extra. Excellent value for money. I certainly would certainly return to this place.

Wi-Fi quality was uneven. Signal sometimes dropped.

Located within the city walls, therefore very atmospheric, and close to the main square, historical buildings, shops and cafes. The hotel is exactly as described on the internet - a very comfortable and quiet no-frills hotel (but what would you expect for only £100 for 3 nights in a nice city?). No breakfast available, but loads of cafes very close. The best thing about this hotel is the landlady. She recommended a 'local' restaurant that we would never have found otherwise (which turned out to be a gem). She also knows her way her round the 'La Vera' and Jerte valleys, so we had a fantastic day out based on her recommendations.
