Great villa, quiet location. Don't be put off with it being next to a supermarket. If you don't look over the hedge you don't even know it's there. We did find the beds a little hard, but other than that we couldn't fault it. Owner Vitor met us on arrival and responded very quickly to any queries we had. Definitely recommended.

We had a lovely holiday at casa mafalda spotlessly clean outside space fantastic unfortunately the beds were too hard for both of us struggled to sleep consequently otherwise would have given it 5 stars

We have spent a fabulous holidays at Villa Mafalda with two families. The villa is really well equipped, so that we wanted for nothing. The location of Villa Mafalda is great: short ways to Carvoeiro and to various other beaches. The Supermarket next-door is really great. There you can buy nearly everything but you do not take any notice when you are staying at Villa Mafalda. The support and especially the location plan to Villa Mafalda were perfect. In peace of conscience we can recommend Vitor and the villa and would like to come back again. Dear Vitor, again we want thank you very much for the beautiful holidays and many thanks for the inflatable objects for the pool. The kids have been very pleased about that. Just returned after spending 2 weeks at Villa Mafalda. The villa is lovely and spotlessly clean. It is well equipped and spacious. The pool area is amazing and well maintained. We had a fantastic holiday at Villa Mafalda and would definitely return in the future, thank you very much Vitor.

We had one of the best holidays at Casa Mafalda, Carvoeiro. Vitor and his wife were super lovely welcoming and helpful. The gardens and pool were fantastic and the villa had everything we needed. The bedrooms were quiet and cool at night. Thoroughly recommended and we would like to return in future.

Very enjoyable time spent at Villa Mafalda we came looking for peace and quiet and found it. The Villa is very well placed for everything in the area. On separate occasions we drove, took the bus and walked into Carvoeiro. The Villa itself is lovely and the pool area especially so. Although it was just the two of us this time we'll certainly be rebooking for our family holiday next year.

Casa muito arejada e espaçosa, piscina excelente, simpatia de quem nos recebeu, superfície comercial muito próxima da habitação para fazer todo o tipo de compras. Limpeza e troca de toalhas excelente. Zona envolvente da casa muito espaçosa e bem tratada. Férias excelentes.

Heerlijke vakantie gehad in deze villa. Goede locatie, centraal gelegen in het gebied Lagoa/Carvoeiro/Silves (alles binnen een 20 minuten rijden) De eerste keer even opletten, je rijdt zo de onverharde weg voorbij die tussen 2 huizen in ligt. Handig dat de supermarkt ongeveer in de achtertuin staat (waar je overigens geen overlast van hebt, evenals de doorgaande weg). Het huis is van alle gemakken voorzien en typisch Portugees ingericht, met 3 ruime slaapkamers, 2 badkamers (1 met bad) en een heerlijk groot zwembad. In de 2 weken dat wij er waren werd er 2x schoongemaakt, schone handdoeken lagen gewoon voor de pak. Erg aardige eigenaar die helaas niet zo goed Engels sprak, maar wij dan ook weer niet zo goed Portugees. Klein minpuntje: de tuinstoelen zitten niet echt prettig voor lange mensen.

Just come back from a superb holiday here. Beautiful villa and surrounding garden, the whole place was spotlessly clean and looks even better in real life than the pictures. Excellent pool area, the villa is very spacious and has everything you could possibly need, including wifi which was an added bonus having a 15yr old, there is a washing machine, dish washer, extra bedding, plenty of towels which were changed half way through our stay as well as having a deep clean too. It is very close to town (walking distance), a supermarket on your doorstep (which is not noticeable when in the villa grounds) and the owner Vitor was so lovely too. We have been to Portugal many times and paid double in price but this villa was by far the best for us. We literally can not give 1 fault in the place. Absolutely perfect for either couples or families. Will be booking next year too, 100% recommend to anyone

Extremely well equipped villa. Spotlessly clean upon arrival, Bed linen, towel change & another entire villa clean halfway through our stay. Very handy supermarket literally around the corner (which you wouldn't know is there once you're inside the villa) that sold wonderful fresh meat, fish, fruit, bread & amazing bakery products all at great prices, much cheaper than the uk. Walk into town took about 25 mins, taxi charges about 6 euros. Plenty of places to eat & drink. Would recommend Harry's bar for drinks & Kula bar for cocktails. If you walk up Estrada do Farol from the town square then I would highly recommend Indiana restaurant (right hand side) for Indian cuisine, the Chinese restaurant nearest to the Kula bar and also the Bella Rosa restaurant Vitor was a brilliant host, he'd provided us with an essential food pack for our arrival. He checked in with us a couple of times during our stay, also checking the pool. We used Yellowfish Transfers (which we booked whilst in the uk) to collect & then return us to Faro airport @ a charge of 98 euros which I would highly recommend. All in all, this was a fantastic villa in a great location with a wonderful host & would most definitely recommend. Our family will almost certainly return again. Thank you Vitor :)

We are a family of 4 (parents with 2 twenty year olds). We arrived at Villa Mafalda @11PM and was kindly met by Vitor and his neighbour who spoke better English. Vitor had kindly provided an essential food pack which we were extremely gratefully for due to the late hour. The villa itself was spotlessly clean, the kitchen was well equipped providing everything you could possibly need. There was a separate utility room which housed the washing machine, ironing board, iron etc. The only item we would take again would be some DVD's for nights in as TV only had 4 Portuguese channels. The Intermarche (supermarket) was extremely useful & could only been seen from the top balcony of the Villa. The walk into Carvoeiro town took approx. 20 mins but you may want to get a taxi back (approx. 6 Euros) due to the gentle incline. I would highly recommend this Villa

The owners Vitor and Maria could not have been more helpful, from our initial enquiry to providing us with detailed directions from the airport and, as we arrived on a Sunday evening, the welcome pack was very much appreciated. The villa is spacious (over two levels), nice and clean and well equipped. The outside area is terrific, with well maintained pool, patio, barbecue and lovely outside eating area, and tidy gardens. It is almost next door to the Intermarche, which is very handy, but it also feels very private being completely walled in and shielded from the supermarket, with trees and shrubs. There is a small restaurant just a few hundred metres away, which serves very tasty inexpensive food (I recommend the lovely homemade puddings). Or you could walk down a gentle hill to the town (about 20-30 minutes) with a huge choice of restaurants, but walking back would be quite an effort so I would advise getting a taxi. Overall I recommend this villa and would have given it 5 stars but, for me, the mattresses are a bit 'firm'. However, having said that, we had such a lovely holiday that we have booked to return again this year.
