I have been staying at Houghton Lake for 1 week my entire life. This was the cleanest unit that I ever rented. Quaint little cabin updated enough to keep me comfortable.

We had business in Houghton Lake. The owner went above and beyond to work with us, giving us a lovely place to stay over a month. Such a nice guy to work with. Highly recommend

Staying in winter is great if you want to see the lake partially frozen, but one bedroom is virtually unusable due to the cold and distance from the heater. Be aware when booking.
Kitchen was well stocked for cooking, and the house made for a great place to stay! I loved being right on the lake.

We loved our stay at this beachfront cottage! They had everything we needed, and the location was perfect! Cute little shops to check out and great food at Bucillis! We also went to Fred’s in Roscommon - short drive and fantastic eats!! Great weekend!

We enjoyed ourselves at here. The owner was in contact with us and make the check in very easy. The lake was rite there. Very shallow a bit out, all sand, so great for kids. We would recommend staying here.

We weren’t at the cabin a lot because we were at our family cabin which was full, but when we were there it was cozy and comfortable. Provided us with everything we needed and some extras. Appreciate the little things like bottled water, paper plates, etc…Loved not having a key to enter. 😊

My wife, 2 kids, and I stayed at this cottage for the weekend. It is a perfect winter getaway. We needed to be close to some winter activities. We skied at Treetops in Gaylord, and knowing that we had a warm and cozy cottage to come back home to after was wonderful.
If you’re looking for an up north retreat on the water for any season in Michigan, this is the place for you.

This cute little cottage was clean and very nicely decorated. Had everything you may need and then some (minus clothes and food)! We wished they would have described location better and how the beach it's on is incredibly small but our toddlers would play there in the evening. Our family had a fantastic time discovering this quant area!! Owners were fabulous and so accommodating!!

Cottage is so nicely decorated. They say "its the little things that matter", well thats most certainly true of this property. such high end amenities in the little things, towels,bedding mattress,decorations, gift basket, etc....So nice to have a host like Lynn that is there if you need anything....Great location also....

The hosts are generous, thoughtful and think of just about everything, and then some, including some unexpected "goodies". They also recommended lots of places to eat, shop, things to do, and great ice cream!!! The property is lake front with walkable access to beach and the lake. The cabin makes you feel like you're in a small house, with all the amenities you can possibly want. Stores and vegetable markets all very close. We had an amazing stay, hope to return again, and highly recommend!! 5 STAR!!

This place is very special. The decor is very nice and the owners supply everything we needed, towels, shampoo, body soap ect. My age wouldn't let me figure the TV and Lynn got right back with me and explained how simple it was! Thanks for sharing your place!

Great location, beautiful view and everything you could possibly need. The remodled bathroom is gorgeous and had so many 'extras' available. The kitchen was well appointed and the beds and sofas were comfortable. Highly recommend this place!

We love goo to Mackinaw for the day it is so expensive to stay there and was so nice to get up in the morning and be there in a short 1 1/2 hours from the cabin. Then back an watch a movie and relax. Thank you for the wonderful accommodations! Oh and beautifully decorated

We really enjoyed the property. The location is ideal and the cottage has all the amenities that you need. 5 Stars overall, except for the location. It was cool enough to keep the windows open , but the road noise is constant ( especially early in the morning when you're trying to sleep).
We've talked about going back next Summer and we would try and rent this cottage again.

The cabin was very nice. Steve and Lynn always got right back to us when we had a question. Checking In was really easy, they give you step by step. The beds were very comfortable and just walk over and your in the water. It's a great place for families. The water was very shallow and the neighbors are awesome.

This place is great. Small but cozy condo located within a few feet of Houghton Lake. The bathroom is very nice and was recently updated. Place was very clean and included a nice welcome package. My wife and I had such an amazing time and we can't wait to come back. I would highly recommend this place.

"Welcome to Our Home" is the first thing you see when walking in to this beautiful cottage. The stay here was much better than a 5-star luxury hotel. Every need was provided for just like home. From the wonderful welcome basket, to the coffee bar, to the stocked kitchen! Every night we witnessed the most beautiful sunsets over the lake from the porch.
Looking forward to a return trip next year. Thank you to Steve & Lynn!

We were very happy with everything about our stay. The cottage was very clean! Everything we needed was provided. Our kids loved being able to walk to a sandy beach area. The lake is very clean and shallow. Sunsets are amazing from this side of the lake! The beach area did get a little crowded because others from a nearby property were using it as well. There is a park with a public beach nearby. Close to stores and restaurants. The traffic on the main road did get a little loud at night but a fan easily drowns it out. The owners were very nice and helpful throughout the entire process!

Everything you need was there, the owners have gone above and beyond with the linens, pillows and towels…..all newer and comfy. We had a great time!
