Perfect family holiday villa. We were a family of 17 people, age ranges from 6 to 78.. We really enjoyed our time at the villa. There was plenty of space and separate areas to play and relax in. The kitchen was well equipped, there were both indoor and outdoor dining areas large enough to accomodate us all. It's a lovely quiet location with views of the sea to the south. The pool is a great size and the area surrounding it has lots of trees and shady areas.

We celebrated my mother in laws 80th birthday with a trip to villa colabri. The villa is very large, with lots of room for a large group to be together or find a hideaway to enjoy some privacy. The pool is large the games room well equipped. There are local shops and restaurants , all within a short uber ride away.
Carolina and her mother made our trip run smoothly, we ourselves had some logistical problems that they were quick to help us out with. I would highly recommend staying here.

We had a lovely weeks stay at the villa. We were 3 families with teenagers. The villa had everything we needed to ensure all 6 teenage boys were occupied. Large pool -great for water polo and a games /cinema room. The villa has views to the coast from various rooms, veranda and balcony area. The kitchen was probably the best stocked kitchen we’ve had for cooking utensils, crockery and glasses and it good to have enough seating for all whether inside or outside. Carolina our host responded very quickly to any queries we had and supplied us with local knowledge for our trips. Our late night trip to the doughnut shop was the best following an enjoyable meal at the family’s restaurant. Thanks to Carolina for a great stay.

Located on rising ground just north of the small town of Moncarapacho and below the highest point on the Algarve, villa Colibri enjoys great views toward the sea. It was big enough to accommodate 17 of us over 3 generations. It has excellent facilities, including a great pool that was never crowded even with all of us in it. The holiday was delayed for two years by the pandemic but Henrique was very accommodating in extending our booking from 2021 to 2022. He also owns the Restaurant Colibri in Moncarapacho which was well able to cater for us on two occasions during our stay and provided excellent food, which can be booked in advance from menus available at the villa. We had cleaning halfway through, which was very efficiently managed by Henriques wife Teresa. The games facilities were enjoyed by many family members. This was a new part of the Algarve to us and we enjoyed getting to know the pretty towns of Tavra and Olhau. proximity to Spain meant that two separate groups from the family were able to enjoy trips to Seville, one staying overnight. Being quite high up the villa benefits from the breezes coming off the Atlantic but all bedrooms have airconditioning to aid sleeping when it gets really hot. The wi fi can be a little challenging to manage as it can change as you move around the property but is otherwise manageable. Overall plenty of space allowed for a relaxing time to create a truly memorable holiday to celebrtae my wife's 70th birthday, albeit delayed for 2 years! Thanks to Henrique and Teresa.

I would highly recommend this villa for a large holiday group.

This Villa is a good size space and there was ample room for the 15 of us.
The Villa is tired , handles are broken , shower screens missing ,Fridges and the coffee broken and the Cooker was more than quirky to use. In the basement there is a bathroom with no light bulb
I expect this house sees quite a lot of partying over a year.
At the price we paid we would have hoped the owner should plough some of the rent back into this house really ,to keep it tip top.
Sadly the showers and bathrooms need more attention paid to the level of cleanliness, the plug holes where clogged and drains blocked to more than one of the bathrooms.
On arrival there was sadly only 3 loo rolls to cover the 5 bathrooms.
We loved the games room, some new investment in table tennis balls would be good.
Having said all that , the pool is wonderfully and the gardens really great.
The area and the Portuguese fabulous. All in all we really enjoyed our stay.

We were booked for a full week, but had to cut our trip short due to COVID-19 and tightening travel restrictions. During this stressful time, Henrique was unbelievably flexible, understanding, generous and communicative. The villa was luxurious and comfortable; we were a group of 10 including six kids, and the kids had the times of their lives. In a crazy time, this place was an oasis. Highly recommend.

We had the most lovely week in Villa Colibri. The pool and garden was so lovely we didn't venture out much at all but having said that Ria Formosa beach area is beautiful and not so tourist as the Algarve. We loved the sleepy town of Moncarapacho which has nice cafes and restaurants. The Villa has lovely views and plenty of space for large parties and terraces for some quite time. Henrique and Theresa are lovely hosts and so welcoming. This Villa offers great value given its quality and location so we would love to visit again sometime. Thank you for a lovely holiday.

Henrique the property owner couldn't do enough for us :-)
The property housed all of our party perfectly, 17 of us...
Including grand kids , infants and babies. Importantly the pool
area was secured with a gate !! Every inch was well used from the well equipped games room to the jacuzzi.
100% Satisfied with our stay....

a couple of hiccups, wifi not great and electricity tripping but Henrique did everything he could to rectify asap. We visited his restaurant which was amaising and he was so helpful with taxis, he even delivered us a whole spit roasted pig. Beer on tap is brilliant and I would go again. tip:- a bigger oven

The booking of the villa from the start was easy and communication with Henrique was quick and efficient. We were a party of 4 families with children from the age of 2 to 18. The villa had everything you could wish for and more. The lager on tap was an added bonus for the adults! Plenty of space for all 18 of us and a safe pool environment for the little ones. An amazing time was had by all.

This house is suitable for bigger groups. The movie room, pool, jacuzzi and football field are nice to have, especially for kids and younger visitors. The house is ok but the location requires that you need a car to move around. It is also good to know that you can hear the traffic from the nearby roads.

We had a really great week in a fantastic house. 10 adults and 9 kids had everything we wished for. Good kitchen and outside grill facilities with all necessities wanted.
Downstairs we had access to pool, table tennis and a simple “cinema-room”.
Outside was a nice pool area and a soccer field. There were also a great outside table for all to spend almost all day at, from breakfast to dinner.
Except an annoying rooster that said good morning quite early, we had everything that we could wish for!

Great for families and large groups. Beautiful pool and outdoor living areas. Large and functional kitchen and everybody loved the games room.
It would be nice to have a 'starter pack' of kitchen and bathroom supplies.
We had a great time!

We were a party of 18, the youngest was 5 and the oldest in her 80's.
We had the most enjoyable holiday imaginable. The villa was perfect for our party, the heated pool, the outdoor seating, the beautiful interior with a very workable kitchen, the games room, the cinema room where we watched Tranmere Rovers win their playoff to be promoted to league 1, the terrace where we star gazed, the hot tub and much more.
Travel with wolf was the taxi service we used. They dealt with our transfer from and to the airport. They were available whenever we needed them and gave us information and recommendations for best places to visit. Thank you guys.
Henrique and Theresa were very attentive to all our requests, even to the arduous task of delivering food for all of us fron tbeir restaurant, which was delicious. Thank you both for making our stay a wonderful experience.

We had a lovely 10 day holiday at this villa which delivered everything we wanted. Excellent weather, nice looking house with well maintained garden, large pool, good communal areas (reasonable equipped kitchen, nice terraces, fun games equipment), good views, and bbq. The local town is pleasant with reasonable shopping for supplies (and larger supermarkets are a 15 minute drive away). The sea and good beaches are around a 20 minute drive away (but do take a wind break and parasol). Local markets and food are well worth indulging - delicious and offer great value. Henrique and Teresa (the hosts) are helpful and easy to communicate with - as are the local people generally. Around 25 minutes drive from Faro airport.

A spacious villa in a peaceful location with great facilities, a huge thumbs up to the beer on tap. The nearest small town is 2km away and has a very pretty square and several inexpensive but charming restaurants, would thoroughly recommend.

We were a large group made up of several families and could not have chosen a more perfect villa for our summer holiday. It had everything we needed. The space was great, a fully equipped kitchen which we used several times to prepare dinner and plenty of dining area space. Our group had young children, teenagers and adults and there was something for everyone. The pool, the cinema room, the games room, the hot tub, the BBQ - we used it all. Another welcome addition was the air conditioning in the bedrooms – definitely needed in August.
The owners Henrique and Teresa were great - on hand whenever we needed them. We were also able to book tables at their restaurant which is in the nearest village, Moncaropacho. Highly recommended! We also loved the ice cold beer on tap!
The location was beautiful - a 15 minute drive to Fuseta where the beach is, and 2km to the nearest village where there are restaurants (including Restaurant Colibri which had delicious food). We were also treated to several evenings of meteorite showers in the sky as there was no light pollution - I recommend sitting up on the roof terrace to watch the sunset and see the evening sky change into a sky full of stars – it was breathtaking.
Can't wait to come back to Villa Colibri

A high standard residence, extremely well equipped. All enjoyed the big, warm swimming pool and jacuzzi. The kitchen was well equipped with a long table to let us all eat together. We all had a most enjoyable holiday. It was a little far from the sea and the roads were temporarily horiffic. Otherwise excellent. Henrique and Teresa have restaurant Colibri in the town which is well worth a visit.

We are just back from the most wonderful holiday, we spent a week at the villa with friends & family, as we celebrated our 40th wedding. Our group was aged between 6 months & 80 years old & everyone had all they needed from highchair to room on the ground floor with a bathroom right next door. The villa is very spacious so room & places to get some quiet time if you feel the need. Large spaces for group activities & enough room between that when we had our noisy pool/foosball/table tennis tournament no one was disturbed. Henrquei was around frequently to clean the pool & ensure we had all we needed, there were Road works underway so he made sure we knew all the ways in & out!
Would not hesitate to return.

The villa has everything, like pool, jacuzzi, additional playing field (football, volleyball), BBQ place, snooker and table tennis, large kitchen etc. Close to some very good golf courses (e.g. all Dom Pedro’s courses). Furthermore, a beer tap / keg. The owner Henrique is very nice and helpfull.
4.0 / 10.0
Great location in the countryside within easy driving reach of Moncarapacho. Lovely scenery and great accommodation albeit a little quirky in layout. Only downside were the cockerels crowing from 4 a.m. and barking dogs. Villa large ample size and great pool. Location ideal for day trips to beaches and Tavira and also not far from Spain. 25 minutes from Faro airport so no holiday treks.
10.0 / 10.0
We have just returned from a week long family holiday at this villa. Henrique is a great host and has been more than obliging to our group - even providing us with a delicious pack of freshly cooked octopus from his restaurant after our attempts of cooking some ourselves failed miserably.
The villa is very clean and presentable. As a previous reviewer has commented, the furnishings are not necessarily brand new but to be honest, when you have a group that includes teenagers, it's good that you can just relax in your surroundings. In my opinion, having a spotlessly clean villa with plenty of beach towels, kitchen utensils, knives that are actually sharp etc; is more important.
The star of the trip was the huge pool, hot tub and having the beer on tap (well worth the extra charge)
There is nothing within walking distance, so this is something to bear in mind. However, the Wi-Fi, cinema and games room ensure all ages are catered for.
As our younger family members are getting to an age where they may not be not be interested in a group holiday next year, this years break could not have gone any better and we will always remember the fantastic time we had here.
I would not hesitate to recommend this villa to groups and families who just want a chilled out break.

Perfect place for a family holiday, just outside of town with wonderful views down to the sea. The local Bakery was brilliant for fresh bread & breakfast pastries, with a supermarket a little further down the road catering for the essentials ...Villa Colibri is huge, clean and well maintained, the kitchen stocked with an abundance of crockery, cutlery, glassware & pot/pans, & don't forget the B.B.Q. therefore no need to eat out if you don't wish too. That said please try out Henrique/ Teresa's restaurant in town, you won't be disappointed. We
as a family of 15 (6 up to 63) ate there twice in our weeks stay...Wonderful.
The cinema room was a great addition that I thought would never be used.... How wrong was I, most of the party watched at least 1 film ( inc me ) with the children loving it. (Pool, film & pool & then film in the evening)
The very large outside table for breakfast (in the shade),evening meals on the very large table inside to get out of the sun. Pool fantastic & had to be the focal point for everyone, that & the weather....Hot, Hot Hot
Well done Henrique & Teresa for a great holiday, nothing was to much trouble, lent me his Sat-Nav, used his Drone to film us having fun, told me all about the local markets, beaches, & shops.
There are a few things I might add, the sunbeds have seen better days & could do with more, air con in some rooms could be improved, generally the villa was a little tired, but nothing that would stop me returning.
Once again thank you Henrique & Teresa

We had a great week staying here with a family group from grandparents to babies. The heated pool in particular was fantastic. The owner (Henrique) was really helpful. Interesting places close by to explore and safe beaches for the youngsters to enjoy the sand and water. Amazing fish markets (particularly in Ohloa) and great set up for barbecuing at the villa. Beautiful rural location and views from the villa but having a car is a must as there are no shops etc within walking distance.

Villa Colibri is the perfect place for a family holiday. 15 of us ( aged from 6 weeks to 65 years ) stayed there in early April 2017. The house is huge, allowing everyone to have their own space. The pool is easily big enough to cope with 15 of us and the jacuzzi was a big bonus! Both are heated by the solar panels and were lovely and warm. Additionally, the pool is fenced off, making the outdoor area safer for the children. The villa and pools are well maintained by Henrique and his wife Theresa, both of whom were really helpful in making sure everything was perfect for us.
The kitchen is well equipped with everything we needed and we used the barbecue regularly too. We asked Henrique for a barrel of beer and it was lovely to have cold beer on tap! The furnishings in the villa are comfortable and clean, ideal for a family to relax. The cinema and games room are brilliant, our younger family members loved to watch a film to chill out before dinner. The weather was so lovely that we spent most of our time outdoors, around the pool or in one of the numerous outdoor seating areas.
We ate in Henrique and Theresa's restaurant one evening, fabulous fish dishes - everyone enjoyed their meal, highly recommended to other visitors!
Moncarapacho is quite a small village, but has two supermarkets with a good selection of foods. Olhao is a short distance away and has a big shopping centre. We hired a minibus and this was very useful for shopping etc. We did walk to Moncarapacho, but couldn't have carried everything back with us, although I think local taxis are reasonably priced.
About 2.25 miles from the villa is Cerro da St. Miguel, a viewpoint on top of a hill. A number of our family are runners and liked to challenge themselves by running up the quiet road to the top and back. It's well worth a visit, frequently used by cyclists too.
In all, we had a great holiday at Villa Colibri, thanks to Henrique and Theresa for their excellent customer service - nothing was a bother to them. I would certainly recommend this villa to any family or group looking for a restful, relaxing holiday in the sun.

We were a group of 7 friends and we managed to have a superb time in the villa, enjoying a room for each person, using the swimming pool, the jacuzzi, the home cinema and having such a good time also thanks to the kindness of Henrique. Definitely recommend it!!

The villa was just great for what we wanted. A nice big place with plenty of space for 11 of us including four young grandchildren. The kids loved being in and out of the pool and the outside hot tub. The huge film room was great for the evenings when we could plug the children in.. The table tennis and pool table kept adults and children well amused also. The huge living room log fire was especially welcome in the evenings and the barbecue area outside came into play may times. The wifi was brilliant and never failed. Henrique and Teresa were very good hosts and always so pleasant. The furnishings are not luxurious which suited us well as we didn't have to worry too much about the children.but the whole place was very clean and tidy. All in all it was perfect for our needs.
6.0 / 10.0
The villa is lovely on the outside, the décor is nice too - but it is a shame they put such old furniture in it. I think the dining tables and chairs are old ones from their restaurant and some even had dangerous bolts sticking out.
The sofas in the cinema room are so old they sink and are covered with throws.
Also the villa has an ice machine, a coffee maker, a microwave and a traditional oven. Unfortunately, there was NO INSTRUCTIONS how to use anything, even Henrique didn't know. We were at least expecting a welcome pack with instructions and information about the area - but nothing.
The jacuzzi was lovely to begin with. Henrique came and treated it mid holiday, but in the second week it was not working properly as had lots of bits in it and the water looked dirty.
For such an expensive villa - I expected the furniture to be a better quality too - but we still had a lovely time.

This property is everything you could wish for, it is exactly how it was described on the website, even better than you get from the pictures.
There was 18 of us and it was plenty big enough, it was the most perfect holiday.
The owner Henrique is the perfect gentleman, very friendly, very helpful and most importantly replaced the beer as soon as it run out.
The area is beautiful, we were 3 mins from a good supermarket and bakery in the lovely village of Moncharapacho, and 10 mins from the amazing town of Fuzeta, with the wonderful beaches, bars and restaurants.
I will definitly be back!!

We spend two weeks here in July 2016. There were 12 of us; 3 generations of our family. The villa is spectacular, very spacious and luxurious. Set in a quiet rural area, very relaxing, and tranquil. Henrique and Teresa were such genuine and lovely people. They also own a fabulous restaurant in the village providing fantastic food at a low cost. They were always available to attend to us, from replacing the beer keg to just giving us advice. An extra special thanks is due as while we were there, my daughter took ill and was suffering from fever (she was eventually fine after getting antibiotics). When I phoned Henrique just to ask him if he knew the best hospital or clinic to take her to, within 5 minutes he was at the villa, and then spent over an hour making calls and helping us to get her the best possible medical care. The photos on the website and the YouTube videos show how beautiful this villa is, but PEOPLE make the difference. Thank you Henrique and Teresa!

We hired the Villa to celebrate my 50th birthday with fourteen friends. The place is amazing absolutely perfect for groups the communal areas work brilliantly for entertaining with large indoor and outdoor dining areas. The games room and entertainment rooms were a major hit with most of the party re-living the 80's with some seriously bad dancing accompanied on either the Wii dance or giant screen. The pool is cool at this time of year as it is solar heated, we knew this before but took the plunge anyway, so to speak.
Henrique and Teresa were fantastic hosts, they were always available for advise when we needed it, we called on them to provide 16 duck breasts at short notice and hey presto they were in the fridge by the middle of the afternoon, nothing was too much trouble. Take a trip to their restaurant in the town, the monkfish skewers or steak on a stone were to die for.
already thinking of booking again next year.

Highly recommend this villa absolutely 5 star and the location was beautiful - set on the outskirts of a lovely village in the country side. Henry & Theresa have thought of everything to make your stay here just perfect. The local people were also so welcoming. On our first day we went to the supermarket and stopped by for a few drinks in the bar next door - just disappointed I cant remember the name of the bar - the family who own the bar were superb - they heard one of us mention we had a special birthday in our holiday party and arrived at our villa with a specially made birthday cake - the hospitality was so welcoming, I am still in awe of the generosity of the people. Henry also runs a local restaurant that you simply must visit - the food is out of this world fresh produce made to taste so delicious and at very reasonable prices. You can also request for Henry's to deliver food to the villa - this is a must they even picked and prepared the olives from our villa garden :) I would highly recommend this holiday villa to any large parties looking to have a great holiday
