The room was nice and the bathroom was very spacious. The location is great, a lot of good restaurants around and we were not disturbed by people in the street. The breakfast was very good.

The location was perfect - very close to all the sites, restaurants, cafes, and breweries. Breakfast was very generous, and the restaurant food and service were excellent. The room was very comfortable, clean, and attractive.

Nice hotel, friendly staff with good breakfast. It's right in the heart of the village literally opposite Schlenkerla that does the Rauchbier. The hotel bar/restaurant also does Rauchbier where everybody is outside on the street enjoying a beer. There are plenty of eating and drinking options nearby. NB - If you are coming to Bamberg by train, it is a 20-25 minute walk to the old town and hotel from the station.

A little street noise, but you are in the thick of the village.

The staff was polite but not nice. The breakfast is poor, but the big problem is with the parking lot. If you have a larger car (I have an E Class Mercedes Benz) you cannot use the hotel parking lot and you have to leave your car at a public parking lot not very close to the hotel, quite inconvenient if you have luggage larger than a small carrion.

Excellent location just across the street from the iconic schlenkerla brewery. Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was really good!

It was a good deal for the value. The location is very good, breakfast was okay. Bed was confortable.

The room was very warm so you need to open the windows but the street is very noisy until 1-2 o’clock in midnight. ıt was hard to sleep. Pillows were too big, not very confortable.

Based on previous reviews I had high expectations but they were exceeded. The hotel itself is a lovely building and the room are large with comfortable beds. The location is incredible in a little square with lots of other restaurants and bars around, making for a great atmosphere. The bar and restaurant downstairs do excellent food and drink and all the staff were brilliant including the cleaners who helped keeping the rooms cool in the fairly extreme (37C) heat. Bamberg itself is a beautiful little town. With easy access by rail to Nuremberg for a day out (also well worth a visit). The local Rauchbier (smoked beer) is amazing and well worth a try. Never tasted anything like it.

We stopped here on our annual Bavarian cycle tour this year, having also used the hotel in 2016. We enjoyed it so much the last time that it was an easy choice to return, and again it didn't disappoint. Of course, the location is excellent - central without being too busy, and the bike storage facilities are among the best we encountered - but the main thing is that it's just a simply lovely place to stay. The staff are welcoming, there's a good selection of places to eat and drink right outside (including the fabulous Schlenkerla) and - no small thing - the hotel served easily the best Spargel soup we had over the entire week's tour. We shall definitely be back.

Very close to the centre of town, really easy to walk everywhere. We parked in a residential area around a 10-minute walk away from the hotel very easily for free. Good breakfast, nice place!

Good, secure and well organised parking right in the centre of Bamburg. Very easy access to the old town, restaurants etc.

The standard of breakfast buffet you get in Germany - even from small B&B's - is frequently extremely high. The breakfast at Alt-Ringlein was OK but didn't match up to such high standards. Our room was directly above the outdoor seating and eating area. Fortunatlely it was cool enough to have the windows shut, which made everything quiet, but in warmer weather it would not have been peaceful with the windows open.
