Location and terrace and breakfast.

The Hotel was under renovation. There were workmen and their equipment on the stairs and hallways. Workmen’s noise during the day. There was drywall dust in the air, on the halls, stairs and carpeting. We believe that this should have been disclosed to us, prior to arrival or at least on arrival. Catalonia Hotels have a number of Hotels in downtown Barcelona, we should have been offered a discount or a choice of moving to another hotel. On our second to last day we found out that we could use the Gym and Spa in another Catalonia Hotel for free. This should have been offered to us first day!

Ottima posizione, pieno centro, vicinissimo alla metro e a tanti negozi. Zona abbastanza tranquilla. Colazione molto ricca e attenta agli intolleranti.

Purtroppo è mancata la corrente elettrica e gli impianti d'allarme continuavano a suonare. I prezzi dei massaggi sono troppo elevati, infatti non ne ho usufruito.

Location, room and staff were great.

Waking up to the loud construction noises our first morning (after only just arriving at 1am) was brutal. Thankfully it was only really bad that one morning. Shower is tiny.

Centrally located good access to historic area

We booked a room with a view for the end of a great holiday.The view was a window looking at the opposite window .Our window didn’t seal and was extremely noisy from the buskers using amplifiers in the street. When we spoke to the desk before we unpacked we were 1st told -you asked for the view .then told because we had been there over an hour it was too late to change. I showed our bank record of payment that proved it was nothing like an hour and then was told we had entered the room so we couldn’t be moved as we used Bookings.com .So next time book direct and they would cooperate.we insisted on moving and a compromise of taking an internal room was offered but no refund would be paid for the different room rate. A good night sleep was important as we were flying to Australia so we took the internal room. The next day an envelope was left in our room refunding 30 euro.

The breakfast was not great, everything that should be warm was cold. So that was a bit of a shame.

Location is very good if you are travelling for sightseeing. You are right in the center of everything Staff is friendly and willing to help.

The closet location is not comfortable. The closet doors when opened were blocking entrances to the room and to the bathroom.

Location was second to none and hotel staff were friendly and super helpful

The staff were great Decor & architecture of building Rooms were cleaned daily & beds very comfy, nice shower, ice cold aircon Location was in the centre, great transport links - placa de cataluna - but could walk anywhere - la rambla, cathedral, gothic quarter all in 5-10 mins. Barcelonetta, Beach, E'xample 15-20 mins. Nice terrace in courtyard with bar, pool and food.

Not necessarily a complaint but the lifts were really slow and small so sometimes took quite a few minutes. But there are stairs.

Location is excellent

Room was very small - it was not possible to walk freely around the bed it was so small. The room (305) was at the back facing a wall and the seemed to home to pigeons who made a lot of noise at the window from 6.00am every morning.

The location was 10/10 perfect walking to everything you wanted to see and be! I had a room with a balcony looking out to the square and it was perfect lively i could hear the busker singing during the day and then at night closing all door blocks out the noise. Will come again.

In the heart of shopping area, however never felt like that once you went through front door, small pool but excellent feel to it .Did not feel like a hotel in a shopping area.

The price was a little high but it was in a wonderful location so I guess that's why.

Location was great, lovely old hotel and good front desk staff.

The staff (reception, cleaning staff) were very professional and projected enthusiasm. It was a very pleasant stay. The design of the the whole facility, with the added touches provided by the painting on the interior as well as the exterior to brighten up the atmosphere is a very good touch to brighten up what could be a drab surrounding. Quite creative.

Perfect location! Spacious clean rooms. Great outside pool area.
