A brilliant location, and room 5 was large, warm and had a huge bed! A lovely breakfast was served, and the couple who ran the BB were friendly and helpful. We would definitely return! 😊

The current owners have recently taken over and are lovely. They explained the room to me and how to use the keys. The room itself was spacious and well decorated. The style is quite unique. The bed was extremely comfy. I had a private bathroom outside my room equipped with shampoo and shower gel. The fact that breakfast was included was an added bonus, it was perfectly cooked.

Not necessarily about the property, but the booking management system they use is a bit overbearing - before we arrived I’d had over 10 emails and multiple texts on WhatsApp. I was also charged 5 days before arrival despite being told by booking.com “pay when you stay” - I’m sure this is an automated/ technical thing but it’s still a nuisance.

We had a great stay at Davenford Stow gardens: perfect location, comfortable bed, big bathroom with good shower. Best of all was the breakfast: we asked for a vegan breakfast and were very well catered for. We got tasty sourdough bread, fresh veggies and salad, nut butter, delicious vegan cheese (smoky!), baked beans upon request, fresh fruit salad and so on. Portions were huge. As vegans, we have never been this well taken care of!

The breakfast was exceptional. Best high end breakfast food in the area. Everything was fresh and prepared beautifully. You could tell the staff cared deeply about the food and it's presentation. The room was more spacious than we expected, and the decor gave a classic feel that fit the village, but with a modern twist. We felt well taken care of and very safe at this hotel.

The bathtub did have some residue that was not visible to the eye. Upon feeling the side of the tub (before use) I felt some grime on the waterline of the previous user. I had to clean out the tub myself before using it. This was the only downside of the whole stay. Everything else was very clean.

A good location to get in and out to visit other parts of the Cotswolds disappointed in one of the rooms was a bit small and the ceilings weren’t very high and we paid the same price that could’ve been done a bit cheaper And I felt that we were plagued to pay for the rooms before we saw them went out already spoken to booking.com to tell them we would pay on arrival

Poor choice for breakfast No cereals no fresh orange juice and One guests we traveled with doesn’t drink hot drinks asked for a Coke I was told we had to pay for it and the Coke is cheaper than buying a cup of tea or a cup of coffee how does that work when you’re paying over 100 pound a night for a roomful

Needed a little more ‘host’ like welcoming, greeting and departure… seemed more like an air B&B approach. Very DIY, no table service at breakfast, not even cutlery/napkin, everything seemed like an effort, including a smile. Even a fresh squeezed orange juice seemed a tall ask… ‘host’ prefer to serve cheap tasting carton liquid. Overheard several customers requesting fresh orange juice, again… looks from staff as if to send you to the gallows for asking! Same sugar lumps open to the elements on table all day/evening. Laughed our heads off watching kids, suck them and parents allowing their children to put half eaten back in the bowl; that’s after playing marbles with the rest of the lumps… who said anything about, Covid-19 ever happened. Believe it or not we were paying customers, and weren’t being paid to stay. Told by hosts to expect poor WiFi signal, blaming issue on geographical area, everywhere else but the BnB property WiFi ~ no issue, don’t be fooled by that excuse, ‘hosts’ switched the booster/signal off.

Was difficult to find, I think it was be better to have a picture of the front of the property on advert. Lack television controller, wasn’t much of a selection for breakfast.

The host was very friendly with a warm welcome on arrival. The breakfast was delicious and set us up for the day. The atmosphere is relaxed. The bed was large and comfortable. The room had low ceilings and doors so watch your head! (Tip: remove peak caps before entering the Hobbit Hole.)

It is difficult to fault this venue but this is not luxury accommodation. People looking for 5* accommodation need to look elsewhere.

Breakfast and the location, exceptional. A less normal choice of options with a freshly homemade and very tasty breakfast. The location was perfect, RIGHT in the centre of town, with ample free parking (not linked with the accommodation) around.

The owners, were polite, kind and welcoming. One major flaw that made me mark “staff” down: Our room was adjacent to the staff room (a door marked private). At around 8am, this door next to us was inconsiderately slammed with constant banging and noise in that room for around an hour. It was just really unnecessary and as if they were unaware of our presence. Minus that though, honestly, everything else was perfect.

Unfortunately, I chose the wrong place to stay. The entrance was through a tea house cafe affair, no official reception area. Our room was up a flight of stairs so bad that if you were of an infirm disposition, you would have had to find somewhere else. The room was really quirky, which was quite cute. We had a document in the room stating that stays of 2 nights or less, the room would not be serviced, this was not a problem for us. However it also stated that if you required anything overnight, this would not be possible. This included anything from Housekeeping, we had to wait until the following morning. There was no full length mirroring the room. There was a lack of plug sockets. Those we had all had an extension lead attached so you could use the kettle, the bedside lamps, hairdryer, etc. Fire risk. The lighting was not suitable for doing makeup and hair. The best thing about it was the bed. There was nowhere to put your toiletries in the bathroom. The breakfast was Artisan style, which was limited in choice, no alternative for a cooked breakfast.. There was no backup overnight, if you needed anything, you had to phone the owner and he would come. We had the responsibility of the security, we had to let ourselves in through the cafe and make sure the place was fully locked. There were only 4 rooms, in the B&B, we all had the same process. None of these things were detailed in your advert for this B&B, if they had been we would have chosen elsewhere. Extremely poor value for the price.

The property was in a great location & you could walk to everything in Stow. Great shower. Comfortable bed. Breakfast was cooked to order, and was delicious. All the cakes, pastries, savory items & deserts are homemade & taste wonderful.

Lovely large room and bathroom. Very comfortable King size bed. Very friendly helpful staff. Very tasty breakfasts. Great location for visiting the Cotswolds.

The street outside our room was rather noisy, even at night. We would have liked our room to be serviced after 2 nights, but as we didn't request it (being British!) it wasn't. We did mention this at the end of our stay and the manager said they would do it for customers in the future.

The location was perfect. Right in the heart of the village. The breakfast was lovely. Good selection and served with a smile.

All you need for a short trip to the Cotswolds. Super friendly hosts.
