A comfortable room nice big bed. A tea/coffee tray with biscuits and chocolates and bottles of water all no charge. A nice big shower with good toiletries by The White Company. We had dinner on our first evening which was superb. Very attentive staff.

At breakfast if you had tea it came in a pot, but coffee was served by the cup only. A cafetiere would have been nice.

This is a family run pub / hotel, all of the family are involved and they make you very welcome and provide excellent service on all counts The food is superb, rooms are modern, well furnished, and extremely clean. We arrived by car and explored the local villages by car also , but we used the local bus to get into Oxford. The bus stop is right outside and takes you into the city centre

We booked this hotel very last minute to break our long journey home and were pleasantly surprised at finding this gem. Just outside of Oxford off the A34, it was conveniently situated and very comfortable. We didn't have dinner in the pub as we arrived too late, but breakfast was delicious. Our hosts were very friendly and helpful.

There was nothing we didn't like about the property. We would have loved more time to explore the area but we were pressed for time to get home.

Duvet was very thick. Too thick for time of year. Quite hot in the night however bed was very comfortable.

The staff were so friendly and accommodating; they let me check in a little early as I was attending a wedding, recommended me a great taxi company, and since I was leaving before breakfast time, made up a basket of food outside my room for the morning. The room was also beautiful and the bed was incredibly comfortable. The restaurant also looked very popular, although I didn’t get the chance to eat there.

Excellent 3 night stay at The Talbot Inn. The room was spacious and very clean. The breakfast was lovely. We also used the restaurant on the 3 evenings, which again was lovely. All of the staff were brilliant, very helpful and friendly. Ideal location with on-site parking. Would definitely recommend it for any length of stay.

Excellent breakfast with plenty of fresh fruit in addition to cereals, yoghurt etc and tasty well cooked hot food. Lovely very clean spacious room and ensuite with very good shower. Stewart, Jemma and the team were so welcoming and helpful even going so far as to print out a map of Oxford for me. The evening meals were delicious - we particularly enjoyed the duck breast. The pub is perfectly placed for a trip to Oxford as there is a bus which stops just outside. Nice walk from the pub down to the canal and the Thames.
