Not much. It was a little shabby, still it was clean but the place was in need of repair (e.g., the front door didn’t open all the way, the porch in the back was messy, etc. The sea colony property is huge and far from the beach.

Mainly the problem we had was with Vacasa - I received literally 26 emails from them with wrong info (continuing to ask for money for previously undisclosed costs like $55 per person to use the pool and beach, even though the Booking.com listing said nothing about that and said the facility includes use of the beach and pools). The constant emails were annoying also because they asked for signatures on additional rental contracts even after I had signed and returned them. It was incredibly annoying. And wrong on the part of Booking.com to say the fee was paid in full, only to then learn that we owed an additional $110 for use of the resort. Ridiculous.

The location was good.

The place was musty, old, and outdated. Nothing in the unit was modern or comfortable and the entire space was very cluttered. For this unit I would have been happy paying around $150/night. To charge $350/night for a place that had not been updated since the 1990s, this seems very outrageous. The sheets felt cheap and gross and there was far too much furniture and clutter. The outside deck was closed up, looked in need of serious repairs, and was very uninviting.
