Large room, and a great breakfast

Room was great and staff were excellent, fantastic welcoming atmosphere which made it for a very enjoyable stay.

Booking mix up. Given smaller room than booked. Tiny. But got small discount. Obviously never swept under the bed for ages, but bathroom spotless. Bed comfy. Fresh milk in fridge for tea/coffee. Apart from that, staff friendly and helpful. Food good. Breakfast fabulous. Would recommend.

A great team at the Hotel Owen, Casper and Ethan also the General Manger could not do enough for me and my partner they are a credit to the industry. The hotel is a complete gem in a very busy market place . The food is amazing with a great breakfast in the morning

The room was well proportioned, neat and clean. Bathroom was a great size. Fridge had complinentary milk for tea and coffee , also bottles of water which was very welcome. Bed was very comfy with a good view of the tv which offered netflix

Did exactly what I wanted. Single room, overnight stay. Great bed. En suite was perfect. Tea and coffee in the room. Quiet despite it being a Friday night. Good breakfast. Great price

We had a wonderful experience.. Staff were very polite and helpful.. Room was clean and very comfortable.. Only one thing.. There was a green light which stayed on all night so interrupted our sleep a bit.

Nice break in a country inn

This revived inn was a beautiful stop in stonehouse. We were a short jaunt from the Cotswolds. Our room was large and clean. The bathroom was elagent complete with slipper and robes. We ate all our meals at the Inn, as the food was excellent. The breakfast included, had many choices, but we really enjoyed the full english breakfast. Finally, the staff were friendly and relaxed. We will be comming back

So pleased to have found a gem in the Cotswolds. The hotel set in a small village but all the delights of the Cotswolds on its doorstep...Slimbridge wetlands only 20 mins. away. The staff were so welcoming, led by Rachel and with husband Mark working wonders in the kitchen. Judging by the numbers in the bars in the evening, the hotel obviously has a reputation for quality and value. We will be back.

Really an excellent experience. Staff of the highest standard, excellent dining

The only downside was the proximity to a fairly busy road and our room was roadside of the hotel . As the time we spent there was exceptionally warm and there was no air conditioning we had to leave the windows open at night and consequently it was very noisy. We were issued with a fan for our last evening which made the situation a lot better Apart from that the hotel was excellent.

Very accommodating as we wished to check in early.

The room was very nice but a little noisy as at the front.The bed was comfortable but the pillows weren’t.There was no WiFi signal in the room so glad it was only one night.The food was very greasy and not really good for this type of place but it was busy so must have been us.We would stay again

A great base for exploring the Cotswolds. Hotel is full of character, great room and bathroom, well appointed. Friendly and professional staff. Offers food in the bar and a separate restaurant, both from same kitchen. Food quality and presentation very high. Breakfast was similarly good. Very much recommended.

What an impressive hotel the George is now. It has been beautifully and tastefully renovated and is just lovely. Very homely as it is not too open in the bar areas and the restaurant for breakfast was spacious and airy. The bedroom - junior suite - was a joy. Massive double bed (super King I think) very comfy, wonderful calming decor and a very smart brand new ensuite with huge walk in shower. Tea and coffee perfectly provided in a 'secret' wardrobe cupboard and an added boost fresh milk in the fridge. Staff were very friendly and gave clear instructions on access etc. Breakfast was absolutely delicious. Lovely choice of cereals, fruit, yogurt, juice and then great options for the cooked breakfast. I had the omlette with 'the lot' and it really was stuffed. My husband had the smoked salmon and scrambled egg. All cooked to perfection and also presented so stunningly. A very relaxing start to the day. Thank youThe George, we will be back.

The best cooked breakfast I've had in years. The staff were excellent. Very friendly. It was lovely to have real milk in the fridge in our room for tea and coffee. If only more places did such simple things.

We needed a convenient place to stay for a night when travelling through the Stroud area. We were very pleased with what we found, having had no prior knowledge of the hotel or location.
