Seven women ages 65-82 have traveled 33 years together with most stays at VRBO listings. The Canterbury Chalet met our bedroom and bath requirements. Comfortable beds and attached bathrooms very welcomed. We do have one big criticism of the well equipped kitchen with the latest and greatest...the small coffee bar contained a single serve Keurig requiring kcups and a single serve Nespresso also needing coffee pods. Arriving late evening, it wasn't discovered until the next morning (Sunday) that 7 of us would not be able to have a hot cup of coffee unless a trip was made to the grocery store to get kcups. Daunting task if all seven wish to sit down together to enjoy a hot cup of coffee. I waited until 9:00 when Ace Hardware opened and purchased a 12 cup coffeemaker so that we would be able to enjoy our morning coffee together. This is the first time in 29 vrbo rentals that we have not had access to a 12 cup coffee maker as we travel with a freshly ground package of coffee to start our first morning together then after taking inventory of what is suppled, we make a shopping trip. I suggest that the write up description of that lovely kitchen include the listing of two single serve coffee makers requiring coffee pods or better yet, the owner purchase a 12 cup coffee maker. It was a disappointing start to a great place to vacation. BTW...our purchased coffee maker was NOT left behind.

We really enjoyed our summer vacation at Canterbury Chalet. It was perfect for two families with more than enough space inside the house and outside in the backyard. The property has modern updates and anything you may ever need ("well stocked kitchen" is an understatement - it even had Instant Pot!). The property management company was very responsive whenever we had any questions, and at the same time the chalet had very cozy and home-like feel. The backyard is huge (extending into the forest) and meticulously maintained, with jacuzzi and hammock - we could spend all our time there and be content. Finally, Canterbury Chalet is conveniently located within a few minutes drive to Kings Beach, Safeway, and all kind of restaurants. This is one of those rare properties where we would love to return to. Thank you for hosting us!

The Canterbury Chalet is a great place. It is beautifully decorated throughout and stocked with everything we needed. The backyard is also a great place to spend time with a nice hot tub and grille. I'd certainly stay here again and recommend to friends.

The 3 bathrooms, comfortable beds, and numerous bathrooms made this our favorite house. We will rent this house again!

This is a beautiful home. It has everything you need to have a great stay in the North Lake Tahoe area. We had a few issues with the air conditioning but the rental company was very efficient and took care of the problem right away. Hope to be go back someday!

To say this is a special property would be an under statement. This is a HOME more than a rental that is clearly loved by the owners. The attention to detail, furnishings, kitchen amenities, and even flowers in the garden are so far beyond what you would typically find in renting a vacation home. From the wonderful welcome basket, and attention to every detail - our stay was incredible. I felt like I was in my own home with my own knives, appliances, and the comfort of my own bed. Huge thanks to the owners for sharing this property, you have done an incredible job with your home and we feel blessed to have been able to enjoy it.
