Great location, comfortable rooms and lobby, great service and excellent breakfast.

A bit hard to find (no obvious signage) but a very new and very nice hotel! The room was a good size and the bathroom was wonderful (particularly the shower!). Very good breakfast in the morning and the staff was helpful. Exceptionally quiet at night!

Loved this hotel, new, modern and lovely staff. Our room was small but perfectly formed and the bathroom was wonderful with shelves to put things and big fluffy towels. The bed was firm but comfortable and although the room faced the street we heard no noise once the windows were closed. The only little negative was the breakfast. There was an excellent choice on the cold buffet but the hot items were never hot...just lukewarm at best.

Fantastic hotel! Great breakfast, stylish, well appointed rooms, and a great location. The staff was phenomenal in every aspect and even took time to prepare us a to-go breakfast when they found out we were departing early for an excursion.

The location of this hotel is great -- short walk to Bryggen Waterfront, Fish Market, Mount Floyen Funticular, and restaurants. The deluxe double room is modern and spacious with a sofa area and walk-in closet. The breakfast buffet is excellent with a wide variety of options. Cata at the reception desk is helpful and friendly, and he provided great information on activities (fjord cruises and hiking trails) and nearby restaurants (Villani Skostredet). I would gladly stay here again!

Excellent stay in all aspects: Friendly, helpful staff. Clean, comfortable, modern, eco-conscious room (with Oleana blanket!). Wonderful breakfast buffet with great options (both English/Norge). Truly excellent Japanese restaurant on-site. Efficient check-in/check-out. Terrific location that’s close to Bryggen tourist area (5-min walk) but far enough away that area feels less touristy and more interesting. Hotel is a great value relative to price! Strongly recommended.

Wonderful new property and great breakfast buffet. The staff was very helpful. It’s walkable everywhere 3-5 minutes. Two improvements even though new but needed: 1. The lighting is annoying. When you unlock and come to the room, all lights turn on automatically. The problem is if a spouse is sleeping you would not want the lights on. 2. Turning off lights would turn off all lights including the bathroom’s. The problem is the spouse was using the bath room. Turning bedroom lights off would turn off bathroom lights too. Bad idea.

The initial check in and lobby were excellent. Breakfast was excellent as well. The staff were all great except one individual who told us we couldn’t sit in the lobby chairs with a Pepsi we purchased from the local 7-11. Bad ending to a wonderful hotel.

A very modern new hotel, with convenience, access to the harbor and other tourist attractions. A very cooperative staff made our stay very pleasant.

Skostredet Hotel was a wonderful choice for our stay in Bergen. We had a family room, which consisted of two rooms, each with their own bathroom, with a shared entry way that had a locked door of its own. It was really well sound-proofed, the beds were comfortable, and the shades blacked out the light nicely. The climate control was nice. My only complaints were the lack of counter space (but the larger room had a big ledge over the toilet) or towel racks/hooks in the bathroom, and the mini-bar mounted on the wall, since I'm a klutz and ran my shoulder into it a few times. The service at the front desk was good. It was a little odd that I couldn't check in early, but was told I was guaranteed check-in at 3PM...which was in 15 minutes. Rather than wait, we just left our luggage in their storage room. We also left our luggage after check out all day the next day. Breakfast was fantastic - an incredible array of choices, with a lot of different breads, spreads, some pastries, various yogurts, cereals/muesli, sliced meats, cheeses, smoked salmon/fish, eggs done 3-4 different ways, juices, non-dairy milks, gluten-free options, etc etc. Bergen isn't huge, but the location was excellent - Skostredet Street behind the hotel is a pedestrian street with a bunch of restaurants (Hallaisen: excellent gelato; Fjak: delicious hot chocolate). The fish market and Fløibanen were a short walk away. Central train station and light rail stop to airport were also close. Highly recommend!

Pretty new hotel located in a quiet street, room is very clean and the bathroom is big. The hotel is very close to the water front and the fish market. Also close to the city main shopping area.

Beautiful European style hotel. Service was amazing. The breakfast was delicious! Even though we had to leave at 3 am the next day so couldn’t enjoy the in-house breakfast, we got a breakfast bag!

We had a comfortable stay at this new hotel. Central location, walking distance to everything, yet quiet. Staff are friendly and breakfast was wonderful. If you use "Skostredet hotel" as your search term in Google map, you will have a hard time finding the hotel entrance. Use their street address "6 Domkirkegaten" instead. Also, when I paid with a credit card, they could only charge in NOK, but not in USD, which we had not encountered during our week-long trip in Norway.

A really wonderful and comfortable stay. Beds and bedding were amazing. Nice things like going to the bathroom at night and a dim floor light automatically comes on in the bathroom to aid you. Breakfast was delicious. Location was great to restaurants and transport.

Great location and updated amenities. Parking is less convenient. Need 15 min walk to drop off and pick up the car. Breakfast buffett is excellent.
